Probably the best Battlefield game so far. One of the only WW1 games I can think of too. And every Operations and Conquest match legit felt like an actual pre-modern war; constant artillery and explosions everywhere you ran, and graphics were amazing. Very immersive.
2021 is about to end and BF1 is still the best Battlefield. No wonder people felt disappointed with BFV and now with the new one. I'm only sad that there is so few running BF1 servers left.

This game is the perfect example of game developers knowing exactly what they want to do, and putting all their will into achieving it. They didn't want to tell a fictional story this time, they wanted to educate, to make people aware of what the world went through. They didn't romanticize war, they romanticized the effort of each and every soldier who fought for what they thought was right. And with that, they made us understand that, if we have the will to destroy to protect our people, we must have the will to rebuild and improve as humans. So yeah this soundtrack fucking slaps lmao 10/10

This game is just one of the greatest I've ever played, sadly I can't find any good servers for my region so I have to play on other countries' servers and that gives me ping issues and beats the fun in the gameplay. But yes, I love this game, and the soundtrack is just bomb.
The best online experience of the console era. The music is stunning. I come from a military family and my dad began his army life with the Grenadier Guards at Chelsea Barracks in London. Back in the day they were amongst the first regiments in the world to get the Martini Henry. Love that rifle in this game. The noise is intense. He was retired some time and his health was failing so I thought ‘fuck it, why not...’ I bought home a real one from Bisley. Got a great discount on account of dad being in the guards. Got the mark 2 which were the ones most used in battle. The bayonet is over 2 feet long. Triangular in shape to push apart ribs to kill. He was one of those men who never smiled when he got a present. You knew he would set it aside and never touch it again. But this, I broke him with this. He unwrapped it and just stared at it for the longest time. Then he looked up with a tear in his eye and said “........it’s.....it’s a Martini.” He died not long ago. Now it’s mine. My daughter wants me to hang it on the wall. Other half is freaked out by the bayonet. First world problems.

@@justalpha9138 I guess it comes down to preference, the gunplay of bf1 was more appealing to me than bf4 was, yes I did play both, no I'm not a fan of the series, I guess I just liked more the casual and sometimes chaotic style bf1 has, but I totally understand that to a lot of people, especially then fans of the saga coming from earlier games it feels wonky, because it's almost not a battlefield, it's like a standalone game. That said, i think BFV is shit xd it just didn't click with me (and a lot of people), let's hope bf2042 is as great as it seems to be

BfV and 2042 went overboard with the customization and specialists to the point that you don't feel like you're fighting for an actual army anymore.

Wish I could go back and play this game for the first time in 2016 again. I've been missing the emotion of this game, almost 5 years without a good bf title.
Hopefully judging by the BF2042 trailers this one will be cool. I think that the assault rifles in BF4 felt a little same-same with very little variety, which I think was fixed in BF1. Now that Dice is combining BF1's weapon differences and BF4's greatness overall we should be in for a masterpiece
got on the game again for the first time in 3 or 4 years last night. my girlfriend literally said she saw a light in my eye while playing it that she hasnt seen in a long time. I play call of duty alot, and i have been nothing but frustrated the majority of the time. for the first time in a while, i had fun.

It just didn't feel like i was fighting to win the match in kaiserschlact operation, it rather felt like i was among the elite Stormtroopers trying as hard as possible to win the war once and for all for the kaiser, same could be said for any side I'd be fighting on either faction during operations.

I've just come back to battlefield 1 in the last few weeks. What a game! You just can't beat the feeling of rushing the enemy line with this epic music playing in the background. So good.
i never quite understood why videogame soundtracks have never 'ever being performed live in front of an audience in concert halls(!).. so dramatic, so intense the themes, my God, no. 3 for instance. The game is still among my favorites well after the release day, 4 years now by the way.

I disagree. While the immersion and the fun aspect of the game was 100% there, the gunplay just felt very wonky to me much of the time compared to BF4.
@@justalpha9138 I guess it comes down to preference, the gunplay of bf1 was more appealing to me than bf4 was, yes I did play both, no I'm not a fan of the series, I guess I just liked more the casual and sometimes chaotic style bf1 has, but I totally understand that to a lot of people, especially then fans of the saga coming from earlier games it feels wonky, because it's almost not a battlefield, it's like a standalone game. That said, i think BFV is shit xd it just didn't click with me (and a lot of people), let's hope bf2042 is as great as it seems to be

BfV and 2042 went overboard with the customization and specialists to the point that you don't feel like you're fighting for an actual army anymore.

Hopefully judging by the BF2042 trailers this one will be cool. I think that the assault rifles in BF4 felt a little same-same with very little variety, which I think was fixed in BF1. Now that Dice is combining BF1's weapon differences and BF4's greatness overall we should be in for a masterpiece

got on the game again for the first time in 3 or 4 years last night. my girlfriend literally said she saw a light in my eye while playing it that she hasnt seen in a long time. I play call of duty alot, and i have been nothing but frustrated the majority of the time. for the first time in a while, i had fun.
I still play it everyday, this game has told so many stories, and i've never had a game where i loved the soundtrack as much as this one, this one hits different!

It just didn't feel like i was fighting to win the match in kaiserschlact operation, it rather felt like i was among the elite Stormtroopers trying as hard as possible to win the war once and for all for the kaiser, same could be said for any side I'd be fighting on either faction during operations.

i never quite understood why videogame soundtracks have never 'ever being performed live in front of an audience in concert halls(!).. so dramatic, so intense the themes, my God, no. 3 for instance. The game is still among my favorites well after the release day, 4 years now by the way.
I've been playing Battlefield games for almost 20 years now, and Battlefield 1 has been my favorite so far. It's a unique Battlefield game and I think a large part of that is the musical score. Happy gaming out there, and I'll see you on the Battlefield.
