It sucks, the injury sucks but like Greeny said it’s a part of the game. You have to go out next week and perform weather it’s rodgers at QB or not.
Watching Hard Knocks, I think the only silver lining in this situation is the fact that he is really mentoring Zack Wilson and helping him with his decision-making on the field. Zack still has meathead moments, but there is some work going on over there on the sideline.

For four months I have not mentioned the name Testaverde. And when I heard that the Jets were making Vinny Testaverde an honorary team captain I was like, “nooooooo!” And here we are with QB Rodgers pulling a Testaverde on us. No matter how I wished for QB Rodgers to evade and escape, I really wanted QB Rodgers to do a TB #14 Brady crumple every time a Bills player came a-rushing and live to see another day, save the elusive stuff for the playoffs/superbowl. I have lived through so many huge disappointments, the mud bowl, Vinny going down on the same day 9/11 in 1999, the two AFC championships under Rex. I could go on and on. The Rodgers injury feels surreal. I do not have the words to describe the emptiness I woke up with this morning. And that is after a win. The Jets are a cursed franchise.

Honestly I think the Jets could pull out a 7 or 6 seed. Really sucks to see this man this year has been absolutely insane already and it's only been a week.
This would be devastating to any team. This was heartbreaking because of all the circumstances. Not a Jets fan, but I'm very disappointed for Rodgers and the Jets.
It sucks that injuries are a part of sports. Cause every team in sports can play the "What if" question if their top player did not get hurt. But it is always an opportunity for another player to show his or her skill set. Thats why you have to stay ready and prepared. This is an opportunity for Zach Wilson to show that he improved from last season. Brock Purdy is a great example of stepping up when your chance comes.
I hold a similar view ( not a Jets fan or hater) as the team on paper has a great defence and many skill players . Wilson is younger than than Brock and had less starting experience at the College level ( and against lesser college teams) so perhaps he can do the same as Purdy has done . I do not judge him by the first two years due to the circumstances he was given ( a coach on his way out then a coach in his first year and other related matters )
i came here to see greenberg "unpack his feelings"! i only know mike and RG3 but have great respect for them both. i look forward to wilson who did beat the bills making some of mike's dreams play out.
I think you're being a little hyperbolic and "prisoner of the moment" here, no? Rodgers is getting paid 8 figures to literally throw a football 1 time. His access to premier healthcare services will mean he'll make a full recovery and rehab from this injury over the course of a year. The Jets Superbowl hopes might be ruined, but at least Rodgers can still walk/breathe/etc. I'd put the Darryl Stingley injury about 1000x higher on the list of "most devastating injuries in NFL history" compared to this...
@tommydevine9993 Reading comprehension problems? You did see where I said "all factors considered" not just the physical injury itself. What this meant to Rodgers, the organization, the NFL, the fan base, the timing, etc...

He a jet fan but I’m a lions fan Mike utley incident, the linebacker we had broke his neck, andre ware Debacle, 0-16 team, nate burleson pizza incident, jahvid best like I can go on for days about the luck of a team
I knew it was his Achilles when he sat down on the field.
I hope Rodgers didn’t tear his Achilles 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 that was hard to watch
Most likely he did
They knew his Achilles was messed up before last night...those things just don't give way without warning. Reported calf injuries are notorious last couple of years for being Achilles injury. I'm telling y'all that every one involved knew this was most likely going to happen..
Unfortunately he did :/ sucks
He did
Unfortunate injury 😢 Get well soon Aaron Rodgers ❤️🩹🙏
As a Lions fan I was finally excited to not hate the man and root for him. Always have had that love hate relationship with him. Wish him a fast recovery. Really am shocked
You know what ? You guys are a good group, just the right amount of everything .
As a dolphins fan it takes me to last year. With the Tua situation, I thought after the 3-0 start we were afc east favorites, tua gets a concussion and poof your back to square one. It sucks, the injury sucks but like Greeny said it’s a part of the game. You have to go out next week and perform weather it’s rodgers at QB or not.
I hope Greeny is okay. Feel terrible for him 😩
Watching Hard Knocks, I think the only silver lining in this situation is the fact that he is really mentoring Zack Wilson and helping him with his decision-making on the field. Zack still has meathead moments, but there is some work going on over there on the sideline.
I feel for Greeny and Rich Eisen and the rest of the Jet fans.
This low key is the greatest segment ever
It’s sooo crazy man the whole aura around the stadium when he came out was amazing and looked like it was meant to be. Rodgers was finally getting his 2nd ring but he ends his year with that injury
He was getting his second ring? LOL
this is the conversation I want to follow lol
He wasn’t getting no second ring bro , he’s had 3 or 4 opportunities to get that done but unfortunately had to face my niners
I do agree that the ny hype machine created the aura that "Rodgers was getting his 2nd ring" lol
He wssny going to get a ring but I feel you.
I'm not a Rodgers guy, but even as a Cowboys fan it sucks to see any player have a serious injury. I hope he's okay. In all honesty it's probably good this happened now, because the Cowboys would have probably wrecked him (not maliciously, but if he was already hurt it could've been much worse)
Cowboys will fold like they always do every year 👍🏽
Maybe. But Rodgers owned Texas Stadium in addition to Soldier Field for years.
@ChillVibes178 the same way I fold your mom
@@artis1969he owned at&t stadium
@@AD-ur1fk Yeah idgaf what they call it. He owned Dallas in Dallas.
As a 49ers fan, 2018 saw Jimmy G go down after a 5-0 ending to 2017 and a year before a 2019 super bowl run.
2020 saw Bosa and Jimmy hurt again.
2021 saw multiple hard injuries, including a broken finger for Lance and Jimmy's shoulder.
We all saw 2022 - Lance, then Jimmy, then Brock & Josh Johnson in the NFCCG.
I know those guy aren't Rodgers, but... we know that feeling.
Soon as this happened I immediately thought about greeny 😂
i immediately said I cant wait til Get Up and Rich Eisen come on tomorrow
@@charlesyoung7690same
At 39, man it's going to be very difficult for Rodgers to come back from this one. He was already talking about possible retirement before joining the Jets. We will see what happens.
That defense, those weapons, if Roger's is out you better give Brady a call!!!
Would be the only way Rodgers could have another ring
Greeny is the epitome of a Jets fan. He gets it.
This man said it's heartbreaking all the stuff going on in the world SMH it's a football injury the man isn't dead
My condolences for you jets fans, hope you find some joy in your season after such a dramatic loss.
From your division rival 🐬
U dont care. It was a perfect weekend for Miami fans as you not only won but also saw Rodgers hurt and the Bills struggle.
@@JoawMebs-im6ix The future looks good for Miami, this is true.
I think us Miami fans are empathetic with their Qb1 going down considering we went through those ups & downs last yr, so yes I care.
My heart goes out to Greeny and all Jets fans. Nobody wishes injury on an opponent. That being said, we will play the Jets on Sunday, and Zach Wilson will see the Doomsday Defense up close and personal.
Love greeny and his presence on tv to talk sports. Hate to see him and jets fans suffer like this. It’s crazy to think about it that it took 4 SNAPS for it to just go south.
I'm surprised Greeny showed up for work today. I genuinely feel bad for him.
If another man getting injured constitutes a TERRIBLE day for Mike Greenberg than he is having the most charmed life…EVER. GTFO.
A year later its STILL HILARIOUS
Absolutely it's a career ending injury.
No way he goes out like that. People can come back from it if they want it enough
@@SkidogMedianah man he was already contemplating retirement for years and u rupture ur Achilles? Like Damian Woody said it’s hard to come back from that kinda injury and he’s on the brink of 40. No way!
Kobe was able to come back for a year after he popped his, but that was Kobe.
No he will come back, continue to be an annoying diva and play a year or two more. He will go back into the darkness and comeback and have a mediocre year.
@@SkidogMediakey words "if they want it enough". Rodgers' career is done because he'll mentally check out at 39 knowing all the work that will have to go into a return to the field at 40. He seems much more comfortable discussing epidemiology anyway 😂
Gonna say the exact same thing i said to Rich, i feel exactly the same way Greeny, its devastating, im devastated, we go through so much and i cant even comprehend it anymore, it makes no sense its exhausting, im tired.
For four months I have not mentioned the name Testaverde. And when I heard that the Jets were making Vinny Testaverde an honorary team captain I was like, “nooooooo!”
And here we are with QB Rodgers pulling a Testaverde on us.
No matter how I wished for QB Rodgers to evade and escape, I really wanted QB Rodgers to do a TB #14 Brady crumple every time a Bills player came a-rushing and live to see another day, save the elusive stuff for the playoffs/superbowl.
New record prediction as long as the OL and RB Hall stay healthy 10-7
Losses to DAL, KC, PHI, @BUF, @MIA, CLE, @NE
You'll be lucky to go 7-10 with a backup qb
I’m 57 years old and a lifelong Jet fan. While I was alive for their Super Bowl win, I do not remember it.
@michaelfrey3595 How is two AFC championship games a curse? You are making no sense
over 55+ years, they haven't made it back to the SB since the 60's, and have the longest playoff drought at 12 years. that's cursed.@@christiansoldier77
@@christiansoldier77 only us Jets fans understand the pain
@antimike1131 you understand where I coming from.
Not a Jets fan but I did watch the SB win and was very happy ( as I distinctly remember hating the Colts )
I was disappointed when Aaron went down that’s really sad to see now he’s gone for the year
I knew something like this was going to happen. With all the hype behind the Jets and then being on Hard Knocks. It was only a matter of time before something happened.
Props to Greeny for still keeping it together... Gawd, I can't wait for Rich Eisen to actually say something post mortem the morning after
Eisen took it pretty well in context of Jets history .
I really like these guys together. Good chemistry.
Never seen Greeny express himself like this before, I feel for him man smh sad
Survived the 2 espn layoff cuts, looking forward to covering a future hall of famer for his beloved jets only for this to happen
Naw he shows these emotions when talking about his Jets, Rich Eisen is the same 😂
In my Nelson off the Simpsons laugh " HaHa "
The highest of high and lost of low greeney went through it 😂😂😂
As a Packers fan being able to see Aaron play, it sucks to see Aaron suffer such a bad injury. I was excited to see how he'd and the jets would do this year as a football fan.
Greeny hasnt had this rollercoast of emotions since him and Mike broke up their show 😂
You mean since he snaked his former partner out of a job?. People forget quick he did Mike Golic dirty. This may be karma
@zacwoods u really are a retard aren’t u? Why would karma hurt arod? U sound slow
Greeny having a mental breakdown 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly 💯.
He's not the only one. I have friends up in New York that are jets fans and they are just absolutely in shock right now.
i came here to see greenberg "unpack his feelings"! i only know mike and RG3 but have great respect for them both. i look forward to wilson who did beat the bills making some of mike's dreams play out.
All factors considered, the most devastating injury in the history of the NFL
@@tommydevine9993you stupid or something? Buddy escaped the stupid hospital, alex smith had the best of the best medics and nearly lost his leg you think that just because someone has money they are immune to anything related to you minimum wage people?
Kevin Everett on Bills for me. He nearly died.
Greenie you are great.
That's what happens if you invest in a old QB they get hurt faster SMH
The weight of the franchise proved too heavy afterall. One of the most passionate players to ever play the game. A warrior who rarely is injured and now this. Life is bigger than sports but this one hurts. Saddest of all is that noone is more crushed than A-Rod himself.
It's football, nobody is crying for Aaron Rodgers and the Jets except Jet fans.
Well yeah that's usually how it works. Fans of the team, and the team themselves usually are concerned when things don't go right for them.
did you see that victory last night? The Jets fans have the biggest heart in the league right now at the moment.
I mean it is a great talent from the game @Daffy_C u a hater
@@3MrNiceGuy15 Not necessarily, The Darvin Hamlin had the entire league concerned.
@@natejohnson8248 It's football, ain't nobody around the league crying or sad cause Aaron Rodgers is injured.
As a football fan (a sports fan) it’s very heartbreaking to see an athlete who has worked so hard to prepare for a season…and boom…it’s gone! I’m not a Jets fan not a big Roger’s fan, but wow! I’d never wish this on my worst enemy. I’m sorry to all Jets fans, the organization and most of all, Aaron Rogers.
Jets are cursed😂
if they were, they would have never won yday
@@sumsolution5113 They are tho. This is just one regular season game that means absolutely nothing. The goal is to win a Super Bowl. Aaron Rodgers had that experience they needed and now he’s out. Zach Wilson is not carrying them to the promise land.
Griffen really miking that "won the battle, but lost the war" line 😂😂😂
40 year old Rodgers will never play another snap. Tragic.
Being a fan of a small market team with very little national exposure, it did make me chuckle when Aaron went down. But being a fan,I know how much it hurts to see your star go down for the year. I hope he’s able to come back healthy.
THIS IS THE GREATEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN IT COULD NOT HAVE HAPPEN TO A BETTER PERSON
IM SO GLAD HE TORE IT. NOW WE DONT HAVE TO
