Rich Eisen was my first thought when it happened. He’s been so hyped, I feel for him. Sports is the only place that can create these type of up and down emotions in grown men.

My brother was a huge Jets fan and he passed away in April. I really was sad because he wouldn't get to see Aaron play and I know he would've been excited. I can just hear him now saying, "I knew it!" Needless to say it's been a rough year. 😞

What would make your brother even happier, is knowing his brother is keeping his name, memory, and passion alive. He’s smiling down on you being upset for him. He’s also smiling just seeing you be who you are, cracking a cold one living life. They still have an opportunity to do something very special. Every win after week 1 is a testament to that team and your brothers love of the game! Be well friend, you make him proud everyday. We stand on the shoulders of giants.

Living 30 minutes away from Green Bay, we have had our ups and downs with the way we have reflected on Aaron’s switch to New York. That being said, personally, this is devastating to see him invest so much of his talent among the league of football fans who have fallen in love with this championship caliber roster. Genuinely, I offer my condolences to the Jets and their fan base. Hope to see A-rod uplifted soon to continue spreading his qb coaching to Zach and his talent to the Jets franchise. Trust me, any football fan is sad to see this happen.

I'm a Packers fan and I was heartbroken for the Jets fans,Organization,What an awesome fan base, They haven't been to the superbowl in over 50 yrs and not very many seasons that they were in the playoffs, They stick by their team regardless and that's a true fan But That Jets team took it to another level after Rodgers went down, So happy that Gipson had his moment to shine, They have alot of talent,Hope for the best for them, And my thoughts are with Rodgers,He gave me alot of great memories in Green Bay,Thank you Aaron for that, This sucks for all NFL fans No doubt

A brilliant summation to the pain and agony we all felt as football fans, and particularly as a Packers fan who wanted to see Rodgers succeed not just for him but mainly for Rich and the long suffering Jets fan base.

It took 2 years for Kevin Durant to heal his torn achilles and he was 28 years old when that happened. Of course, the QB on football and the forward on basketball is totally different, but it gives you an idea how bad the achilles injury is to the athletes. Even AR got super human level of fast recovery, he has to go through the long lonely painful rehab just to be able to walk like a normal person. Unfortunately, his career is over.
As a Packer fan, I was excited to see the old man I adored all these years bring joy to a team in need of it. This was sad on so many levels and I wish it didn't happen. Hope he makes a recovery and plays another season or two. Unfortunately, I don't know how possible that is.
That punt return was absolutely electric. One of the best moments in sports a walk off HR, buzzer beater for the win, goal in Playoff OT in hockey, and special teams plays in the NFL. Let alone a walk of PR for a TD. Great game legendary finish.
But not seeing Aaron play ever again would not be worth it.

He had better. If he’s on the payroll and doesn’t, it’ll show his colors. Thank goodness Love was able to learn from him, for 3 years. If he retires and never returns to the sidelines, or has a therapy or DRs “excuse”, I wouldn’t be one bit surprised. He bailed on the Packers the last 3 of his seasons. No summer camp, no practice, no meetings, no decision on retirement, no scrimmage, no preseason, just expected young players to be on his page and timing. I’d be quite surprised if he’s in street clothes for 15 games on the sidelines.

Been there watching my own team in the AFL making the Grand Final ( our Super Bowl) , losing badly, then self destructing and finally winning the wooden spoon ( finishing last). Rich is the voice and ambassador for us Jets fans, he’s one of the few things we actually have. I unfortunately I hope as I always do because I have to. Last night I could tell that everyone in that stadium thought we couldn’t win that game without him but we did. I lost my voice trying to get the section to realize we have the best D and Run game in the league. Zach Wilson was making decisions last night that I haven’t seen him make ever. I had hope last night and I still have hope because I have to.

He has given this Packers' fan so much joy, which is what I was looking forward to with his time with the Jets. Praying for you, Aaron! Rich Eisen made me believe in the Jets this year. His passion for them is how I am for my Eagles. Yet, he’s better at that talking thing. This was a deep dive into the pain of loving a football team. The fire, burns bright and hot. Whether you’re flying high or having those hard knocks. This segment should be nominated for awards.
You can hear genuine dispair in Rich's voice. Freaking turf strikes again. As a Redskins/Commanders fan, I certainly feel for this poor man. We've been snake bitten for quite some time as well.

I can’t imagine any *real* fan of the game that wasn’t looking forward to seeing the Jets play this year.
Makes it all the more infuriating and ridiculous that the NFL continuously allows this. It loses money for the NFL as a whole when top caliber QB’s go out for the season. Less people watching the Jets, less people are going to be buying tickets to see them play, tickets sold at a cheaper price.. like the difference between when Brady was playing at RJ stadium in Tampa and before he got there/now that he’s gone is huge. Plus the medical costs and all that with the league. Also, specifically MetLife has been an issue. Back in 2020 when the Niners were playing they literally lost 4 starters to knee and high ankle sprains before halftime. It actually made the NFL officials look into it further(they said there were ‘some changes made’ lmao). NYG lead the league in ACL injuries-playing at home. And cost wise we’re talking pennies compared to what the NFL is worth.

As a Lions fan I feel your pain. In my 36 years of life I've had 2-3 season where we actually had a good team to root for. I'm not getting ahead of myself yet. OnePride!

As a football fan, I was happy to see all the struggling franchises be good this year. Detroit, Cleveland and New York. I so devastated by this news. I feel for the Jets and their fan base and fans like Rich. Totally not fair😞
I do agree that the Jets’ defense was absolutely lights out last night. They really put on a clinic. They put the rest of the NFL on notice. Side note: glad Garrett Wilson was in my fantasy lineup. And curtain call for Special Teams- that last play, WOW!!!

This really sucks, thinkin of you Rodgers, and NY. I ruptured mine skating, it was a long recovery and it still doesn't feel the same. Grateful rodgers seems like a spiritually inclined man, hope the decision he makes he's at peace with.

As a die hard Bills fan, I do feel bad for Jets fans, and Aaron Rogers himself, for what happened. I don't like seeing any player get injured like that. Hopefully he recovers fully and comes back to play (he is 39 after all, not 29, so we'll see how he does).

Poor Rich. He's such a good guy, and he has been so hyped about this season ever since the Aaron Rodgers signing. He has been drinking the HOF Kool-Aid and you could see that it was eventually going to end up in a train wreck, kind of like it did with Brett Favre in Minnesota. Still, it could have been a really nice run for Rich and the Jets fans. For the rug to be pulled out from under them as quickly as this was just horrible though. Nobody deserves that. I'm really sorry, Rich. I hope you and Jets Nation get better in the years ahead.
