So funny looking back at this video. Darnold looked great...then we realized Christian McCaffery did all the work taking a pass to the flat for 40 yards almost every drive and they were playing against a weak group of teams
There isn’t a “right guy” for the Jets. Their problems go way beyond Adam Gase and Sam was never the problem.
Rich Eisen “Jets” rants are fantastic!!!
This was an amazing take. Truly a gifted speaker
Eisen actually animated instead his calm vanilla.
@@TehKaiser what ?
Sometimes in a divorce it is clearly one party's fault.
“Making a America great again in London.. with all do respect” - lol!!! Rish Eisen gold!
Thank you for saying what I’ve been thinking for a while about management and ownership.
Really needed this. Whenever I feel down a Rich E Jets rant really picks me up....
Thank you ..as a 50 year Jet fan..thank you
😂😂😂😂Rich you're killing me with your analogies..😂😂😂
1985 10th bday my mom took me to a Jets game. If it was a Giants game life would have been better.
Yea when I saw panthers hire Matt rhule I said welp Carolina about to be something. I watched him turn baylor around and it was unbelievable. He proved to me he was something extraordinary. As a cowboys fan I was hoping they would get him. Just wait panther fans, he's just getting started.
as a jets fan I love seeing former jets player do well when they leave .
I love how this started off so calm and then turned so quickly lol
Darnold looked good last night. Sorry jets fans. In a giants fan so I've got my own problems
He wasn't that good. Kid got stripped 3 times because he had no pocket awareness and was lucky to recover the fumbles. Is he better than Zach Wilson so far? Sure. But it's not like Jets let a winner walk out the door
@@richardnguyen1520 he’s winning now tho…
@@richardnguyen1520 Those strips were like 90% the o-lines fault
@@richardnguyen1520 im a Panthers fan..our OLINE IS hot garbage
That pause before he did before he said Josh McCown had me dying
Hope most Jets fans have 2nd favorite teams for the time being, but I honestly do think Wilson can be great if they build around him while he develops. They’re doing it right up to this point.
Something I hate is when people say Sam darnold sucks from what I've seen he is very talented even with the jets. Anyone with talent is gonna suck with Adam gase as their coach
Miami is experiencing the same thing with Tannehill's success in Tennessee
Just wait for Trubisky to make his mark somewhere next.
Are people forgetting that NYJ are coming off of a 2-14 season last year? Like damn, Saleh and Douglas aren't wizards. Rebuilds take time.
Beautiful Rant!
Preach it Rich! Also happy for Sam here, hope they go all the way.
I love the Jets rants form Rich! :) The highlight of the show! :)
Why Rich is 👍🏼 honest with disappointment and given credit when it due, Gase was a kryptonite to Manning, Tannehill, Darnold and many, ownership and front office are crucial, so happy for Sam!
I'm a huge Jets fan. Thank God Sam Darnold got away and is doing good. I hope he has a great career with the Panthers. Maybe this team will change it's ways and finally get it together.
As a 49er fan who like Trey Lance, I would have rather they traded for Darnold... I knew the Jets were ruining him. Same is going to happen to Wilson.
I'm with Rich. Keep the kid clean and, believe it, good things are gonna happen...!
Was stoked when he went to the panthers. Big temple guy and half my school is there. Add in a great QB, this team is going to the super bowl
I was 9 years old when the JETS last won , after waiting 50+ years for a Super Bowl , I'm not waiting anymore .
The JETS can go to hell , because that's where they put their fans in all these years .
WIN SAM , WIN IT ALL .. WIN THE SUPER BOWL
I agree with your rant Rich … Darnold is with a much improved team that tailored everything to protect Darnold’s start. It was never Sam’s fault mostly; but he didn’t help himself either with many of his self inflicted wounds.
Gotta give Zack some time. Its takes a bit to understand the speed at nfl level. Hats off to Sam glad to see hes getting a rebirth
Nfl is pretty slow mate. Like seriously it’s the slowest of like 8 football codes.
I agree 100%, darnold never had a supporting cast to help him win.
And proper coaching. 1st Mr mumbles (bowles), then googly eyed Gase.
I really feel for the JETS fans. There has been a saying that I have heard a lot over the last number of years "Every player that leaves Gase-led teams ALWAYS improves." Darnold was very good at USC, he could've been better in NYC with better leadership & complementary pieces around him. Wilson was better that Darnold as BYU. When he gets comfortable & the pieces needed around him, he will excel.
As a Bears fan, I fully expect to have this same rant next year when Daboll brings Trubisky to his new team and he resembles 2018 Mitch again.
Nagy is Gase 2.0
And we had the joy of having both of them.
Man this podcast is gold. 🥇
Keep Pounding Rich!!
Browns fan here. I empathize with this rant. Well done rich.
All facts here. Thank you Rich
That kid had the double jinx of being a Jet and playing for Gase. It’s good to see him have some success.
Thank you Rich
Adam Gase also screwed up the year he was in Chicago. I want your Jets to win Rich, as a die hard Bears fan... I want your Jets to win. The Jets are what the Cubs were before the 2016 World Series. The "Lovable Losers" they were called...except the Jets aren't lovable.
Not really lovable though. “Pathetic”, “inept,” “Division II CFB warm-up game before the season starts?” Probably.
As a Dolphins fan i feel yall. Couldn’t believe yall took Gase .
They treated Geno Smith like that and he had no talent around him but still managed an 8-8 with Rex Ryan as a coach ya'll act like this is new.
They KNOW it’s not new. He saying they been doing it too long.
Rex is the best coach the Jets have had in a very long time
This was probably the best dramatic reading that I’ve ever heard that’s not a reading. Just pure Jets fan disappointment. And it’s heartfelt.
Rich, this is quality content. Thank you
This is fools gold ..... Sam hasn't played an elite defense or QB yet ... Now CMC is hurt and can't bail him out with all the checkdown y'all about to see the old Sam show up just keep watching
I don’t like the Jets, but always liked Darnold, so seeing Sam have this type of success 3 games in, in Carolina is satisfying.
If someone told me they were a Jets fan I would never let them make any decision because they obviously make horrendous life choices
Rich nailed it without calling him out personally. Woody Johnson is the real reason the Jets will never win
