As a jet fan this is the most devastating thing to happen to our franchise. When things go wrong for us, it feels biblical! You can’t make this up!!!
As a patriots fan I’m genuinely sorry. We were all excited to see what happens.
I'd say Bill Belichick leaving via a napkin note was much worse long term, but this was a top 5 Jets thing to happen.
I’m a diehard Bills fan. I was sick to see him go down. Kept waiting for the news of him coming back out with a ankle sprain or something.
As a Knicks fan i know the feeling
As a 49ers fan i feel for you guys and gals and Rogers. I was hoping for some good things with the change this year. We know the qb injury stuff all too well.
This is the most Jets thing that could have possibly happened. I feel absolutely sick for them.
Facts!
I feel Sick For A Rod Not The Jets
Yup.
I never cared for Rodgers a whole lot but man do i feel really bad for him right now.
Yeah it’s sucks….. I think he will be back tho…. Praying for him
Dude I'm right there with ya. He seemed to be putting his best foot forward and never got the chance to show it
Sux2suK
I can picture him now wiping his tears with his millions of dollars while getting blown by supermodels. Poor guy :(
@@52baldingindianjanitor72true, as long as you have money nothing bad can happen to you
We need 3 hours of this show. Nick, Brou and Wildes are so informative, concise and their humor makes it fun to watch. Not to mention, they work so well together and dont spend a whole lot of time trying to over talk each other. Just love it…..
Sure if you’re a chiefs or Pats fan
Not a Chiefs or Pats fan…..Cowboys actually but we get enough talk about them on every show. Anyhow, love the show!
cause u are a fool
They need to get rid of the Colin Cowherd show. It's terrible. That and the Carton show are trash.
Nick sucks
Love or hate him this was the best opportunity the Jets had in a long time.
Plot twist: they beat Josh Allen without AR
@@edmundnschragwon the battle, but lost the war
@edmundnschrag yay, they won a divisional game 🎉
yeah i dont much like rogers, but him on the jets was making the nfl more interesting
Exactly. Their chances could not have looked better.
Part of the disappointment about his injury is that we aren’t really ever going to know if this team is actually a superbowl team or not
We will know when they go to the Super Bowl
Now officially one of the biggest “what ifs” in sports
They weren’t gonna but fair
Spoiler alert...they weren't.
Not even close, they were never getting there. Rodgers hasn’t been to a SB in over a decade - It’s a wrap
When Rodgers stood up from the sack and looked over to the sideline, shook his head and laid right back down, you could hear the air in the entire stadium go out, as if every Jets fans’ soul flew right out of the building.
😢😢
That's assuming all Jets fans have souls to begin with...

Ain’t no bears fan if you care a lick bout that
I would hate to see Rodgers' career end this way.
Ya he's done
I have hope he’ll come back. If Vinny Testeverde and Dan Marino can come back from this injury, I have faith he can come back.
The issue is whether he wants to return. Recovering from an achilles tear requires months of dedication, and for someone who was 90% retired less than a year ago, and who's guaranteed to be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer, the desire to return may be low.
@KCShox Rodgers is gonna be 40. Marino was 32 when that happened.
Terrible way to end his career
So sad, it would take at least a 10 months to come back. He's older, so he probably will take a little longer to heal. The last one to come back and he was good it was KD. It took him a while
It's not the end by a long shot
@@GODISGREAT_12 By a long shot? The dude will be 41 toward the end of the '24 regular season. Rodgers was great over the years because he could scramble out of the pocket and make things happen. You think a 41 year old Rodgers coming off of an achilles tear will be able to do that?
@@GODISGREAT_12 - 40 year olds don't recover from an Achilles and play at an NFL QB level. They are just happy to not walk with a limp.
It's a horribly painful and extended rehab....and that's if all goes well. He's not 20...he's 40.
@@christopherweise438 And he didn't become successful because of his mobility so, yeah, he can make it back
As a Cowboys fan man this is so messed up on every level, I wish a fast and healthy recovery, please run it back#8🙏
Chiefs fan here. I agree. It's really bad for all fans and the league. Dude is a superstar.
That should not be a problem because he does his own medical research and will cure himself.
Nick found a way to quote Marlo Stanfield 😂
This is heartbreaking specially bc the Jets seem like they would’ve made a run with a healthy arod 💔
Huge punch to the gut as a football fan. That team would've been awesome to see. They still going to be good but with Rodgers. Holy. That city would be shaking every game
From a Chiefs fan, I'm heartbroken for the Jets and Rodgers. Was really excited to see what they could become, and now I just hope they can still turn this into a cinderella season.
This equals retirement for a legend in my mind, but I want to be wrong.
I'm not a Jets fan but I was looking forward to seeing that team fight this year. It sucks.
“I had them missing the playoffs with him” 🤣🤣🤣
"I see it on your notes, Trey Lance"🤣🤣
As a Rodgers hater i feel terrible for rodgers. He did everything to turn this team into a Superbowl team but he gets awarded with a torn Achilles. This is absolutely terrible.
“And sprouts wings and flys.” Nick had me crying with that line.
the Oline was his biggest strength at GB and as soon as he went from a top3 Oline for his whole career to a top 20 Oline he wasn't ready for it, so can everyone now see how important that is???
Feel really bad for aaron man, you could tell he was actually excited to play with a new team and its over before he can really get a feel for it.
What a great show. Chris talks over Nick too much at times but most of the time is warranted (and needed). Great show
The only way to describe this is tragic. Unfortunately I think rodgers is gonna hang his cleats up following this injury, overcoming an Achilles tear is incredibly difficult, but coming back from this injury at his age is boarder-line impossible
He already had an calf injury in camp. His activities should've been shut down immediately. Non-contact calf injuries are often an indicator that there are instabilities in the leg causing the calf to compensate for other muscles or strains. Joe Burrow had a similar calf injury in preseason. Both were non-contact. I hope he's not the next in line. It makes me really mad.
If the achilles is gonna happen there isnt much you can do
This is ridiculous comment. By the way can you tell me next week's lotto numbers? Thanks in advance.
Kevin durant had a calf injury before he popped his achilles.
What exactly is non contact injury, did some use a voodoo doll? Running is contact sport as far as your legs are concerned
YOu can rest and heal it. @@millhousemillard2140
Amazing show today with a lot of energy...Honestly very sad for Rodgers and Jets fan
Now we gotta sit through Zach Wilson in all these prime time games. Smh
Love this show praying for a speedy recovery for Rogers
The real Jets curse is the awful turf at Regret Life Stadium. How many lower leg injuries does it have to claim before they think about natural grass? Those black pellets all over the players looks awful as well, and accidentally ingesting them over an entire career will definitely give players cancer.

You can tell Brou hit Nick in a soft spot when he said “you didn’t bring this up when we were making our picks”.
True, but in his defense who wishes impending injury to a player prior to the season starting.
@@jacal420no one’s wishing injury but Chris said he took in to account Tua and Jimmy would probably get hurt and it had an affect on his picks. Nick wasn’t saying that about Rogers but now wants to act like it was a forgone conclusion he was gonna get hurt
You ever notice how Manning and Brady never really tried to run from a sack? If they saw it coming, they just went down. Probably avoided multiple injuries by doing that.
Tough break for the Jets, I hope they can make it with Zac even more so now that Bru left them for dead.
I could listen to them go at it all day lol 😅
Zach Wilson is 24, he came into one the worst offenses at 22 with a rookie offensive coordinator and no veteran presence. He has all the physical attributes to succeed and to the point of a bad o-line he is good at avoiding pressure. Id give Zach a chance with Rodgers as his new defacto QB coach, he's already beat a playoff team

@@lososcotti926 What? Theyre discussing what the Jets should do for QB. I'm saying they should give Zach another shot instead of trying to sign some journeyman.
@@BushnoSkillzzZach Wilson will never have another good game in the nfl again, he’s had his chance
@luisfraga4759 what chance was that again exactly? Thrown to the wolves at 22 with no help and a bad offensive scheme. Theres a reason Mike Lefluer isnt calling the plays in LA rn. Kids not old enough to rent a car yet but supposedly he's spent? Deserves a real chance with a veteran presence and proven offensive scheme
“I got the plan..Jameis” took me tf out
Extremely sad for Arod, feels like a curse on the franchise. I'd explore the Jameis Winston situation. Passionate player that can bring back the excitement or call veteran Chad Henne who just retired from KC. Also, Cam Newton still out there without a contract.

I’ve torn both of mine. It sucks. Get well soon a rod

Crazy stat Testaverde tearing his Achilles 24 years ago today.
If the rehab is roughly 12-18 months that’s literally two seasons of missed football for Aaron. That’s tough for him to come back from especially since it’s a torn achilles. 😢😢
Torn Achilles
@@henry7765 ✊🏽 thank you!
It depends on the level of the tear. If he avoids surgery, which should be w/in 48 hours of a complete tear, it was not a complete tear.
@@peggyon1 they say NFL is like 6-8 months but basketball is like a year plus. Look at Durant’s time off.

The best part of the show is the reaction of the crew in the back
I was rooting for Jets too .. all those weapons Aaron brought
"what if Zach Wilson sprouts wings and flies" LMFAOOOOOOO I love this show
As a cowboys fan I'm glad we don't have to play against Roger's but at the same time we will never get our revenge game on him. Bitter sweet. Hope he recover soon.
Guys, if you recall, 4 snaps: First play he was almost crushed. Next play run. Next: Penalty. Next: Crushed and injured. He was inevitably going down.
3 plays were called as quick releases-he held the ball while he had an open receiver. That sack was on him. He was sacked a lot last year with a good O-line.
This is really upsetting to hear. I'm not even a fan. It's so crazy how fast you can get hurt in this sport. Sometimes, it doesn't even look bad, and it is actually serious.
Lions fan here: absolutely a horrible thing to witness and saw all the Jets fans just break down. Saleh's face says it all. I hope Rodgers can heal and get back out there, I'm just afraid this is a career ender. Watching him tear up my Lions for years just made me hate him yet respect him at the same time
At this point i think the jets are cursed
I'm no Jets fan but I'm a old man myself and it's sad to see this happen . I hope he has a good recovery for real ! This was not a thing the team needed!
Zack Wilson doesn't have to "suddenly become awesome" for the Jets to succeed. He simply has to not make unforced errors. It appears that he has a running game which is something he's never really had. I personally think that Zack is CAPABLE of being the "game manager" type of QB and with their defense AND a running game that may be enough. Time will tell.
Nick w that Marlo quote 🔥🔥
Nick was 1000% about to say trade for Lance.
That 1000% doesn't make any sense
He was. He said it in his podcast this morning
@@pfalstad oh my bad lol, rush seemed like the perfect answer tho
Nobody wants that contract for a player that look like he’s 3+ years away from starting. 😂
Absolutley love this musical quarterback chairs discussion...great show as usual.
I'm not sure Jameis has a higher ceiling than Zach.
Zach has performed terribly, but we've never seen more than like, 2 or 3 quarters of Zach playing to his strengths, period. Call that bad decision making, call it bad OC'ing, call it what you want. But in the flashes he's shown (far too infrequently coming out of year 2), his ceiling is astronomic, his idol is Rodgers and when he's comfortable it absolutely shows. Jameis is coming into year, what, 9? He's not developing further, he's never going to be more than what he is. His ceiling is 30/30. I say make the best of what you got, and what you got is the world's most overpaid QB coach and a boom or bust prospect in a situation where his play directly correlates to how confident he is on any given day.
You're downplaying Jameis and overhyping Zach Wilson.
@@IllMatic97 id be happy to hear how that is
Fair or not for ZW, it's on him to lead the team now in what was supposed to be a red shirt year under AR. If he completely implodes and plays like the end of last season, then I'm afraid that's it for him. But I feel like he's already turned the corner somewhat from his early play so far. Stay positive.
@@IllMatic97 Shamis Jamis is a joke ..Lol ..Brady stepped in and won a SB with the Buc's
@@Noctem_pasa I shouldn't have to explain to this at all. You're comparison between Jameis and Zach doesn't work, we get it Jameis threw 30 30 in 2018-19 that but that was 5 years ago I don't know why yall keep bringing that up. You've never seen "Zach play to his strengths" because he was constantly showing his weaknesses and the offense play better without him. Jameis can start for a few teams, including the Jets who won't have issue putting Zach to the side.
No idea why but i got this as a recommendation 8 months after, but the Jets should have picked up Joe Flacco

@@newagain9964wtf are you talking about 🤔🤔
Aaron loves the attention being a QB offers. We still don't really know the extent of his injury. If he doesn't have surgery in the next day or so (complete tears require surgery in 48 hours), that will indicate a lesser tear which can benefit from rehab etc.
If you tried to get Stafford from the Rams, they'd almost certainly ask for a kings ransom. The Jets have no leverage.
I don’t like Nick acting like he’s been calling this injury all year he literally did not. He just didn’t believe in the team like Brou said when they brung up Tua and Jimmy they mentioned injuries. Never did nick mention injuries with Aaron Rodgers this off-season. He just always wants to appear right all the time.
Hes gotta try and be right
Everytime one of them takes a sip, you can hear that gulp from the west coast
RIP Brou's Jets 😥😓
I honestly think this is the best thing for Zach Wilson. He’s going to take this team on his shoulders now, and I’ll say this…..they have the playmakers to make the playoffs. If they stay healthy, i.e. GW, Breece, Dalvin Cook…..these guys will help Wilson grow, and if he can throw less picks than Josh Allen, they gotta shot. Especially with that defense.
😂😂😂😂😂
They are looking for another QB.
Even though I don't think so, if things go completely off the rails this season, then they would be in the Caleb Williams sweepstakes.@@peggyon1
