uʍop ǝpᴉsdn ǝʇoɹ ǝuop ᴉ zlol 🤣 i keep telling people ro da is good but to beat amanda u have to be tough as hell take what she gives in the first and second and come back strong in the 3rd 4th and 5th, ronda is a fantastic fighter, but what she does best is toss bitches right into armbars, usually in less than a minute, she had 3tko's and edmond telling her she could beat laiyla ali so she went into holm fight with a bad approach trying to bully the world champion boxer, should drew her in, and eventually pin her against the cage and wear on her, she doesnt like that. then after a 15 month layoff broken jaw and cracked teeth gonna commit suicide they ou her in with amanda. man i wouldnt have even put her in with sara mccann forna rematch, i woulda threw her in against a veteran and have a good tune up fight to win that comfidence back, instead bad managment and we seen what happen.
tone j boxing is a sport you dont want the young guy to train you you want the oldest guy around that seen them all and can really teach you how to fight. Eexample Mike Tyson Trainer was in his 80s, but mike listened to every word and you seewhat became of him as aresult of that.
I started boxing two and a half months ago. Every class for the first month I felt like throwing up. Constantly my body felt like it had had enough. Yesterday I got put into the advanced competitive class. I passed the fitness test because I pushed my body further than I ever had before. I trained when I didn’t want to train and I pushed myself when all I wanted to do was give in. If you wanna progress in boxing, push yourself every single training session. Or you’re just wasting your time
Rolling under the right cross after slipping the jab to the outside is much safer. If you slip the jab outside and try to slip the right, you risk leaning into the cross which makes it much more devastating if he lands.
what do you mean who does that?? .. oh idk every professional boxer ever smh. ducking after you slip to the right is perfect. all you gotta do is position straight after OR you can counter with a strong upper cut.
yeah, nobody makes this look as beautiful as Mr. Tyson did during his prime. I can't recall a pro boxer that looked mechanically as fast, fluid, efficient and POWERFUL as Mike.
Mike Tyson was the scariest man on the planet in his prime no doubt, but Roy Jones Jr. will probably always be my favorite. It was almost like he could see a second into the future. Unreal reflexes and speed paired with some serious knockout power. In our current era, Tyson Fury is just insane. I just don't understand how a man his size can move the way he can. If you wanna see real crazy speed, look at the lighter weight classes; Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather, Vasiliy Lomachenko. Just awesome in the truest sense of the word.
Must've been a mean jab thrown with bad intentions to get you to quit. Got hit with a powerful straight once and saw stars, took a week off before I went back into the ring sparring
This is a fantastic lesson. Some boxers can use other techniques with this, such as slipping to the right and then dropping a bit lower to deliver a crumbling right body shot. Then with blazing speed throw a right uppercut...Ala Mike Tyson. Thanks for sharing your excellent knowledge.
We call the rock back a PULL or PULL BACK & the right hand or any counter, is called a Pull Counter. The old man's moves are surprisingly fluid & his knowledge appears in depth. **SUBSCRIBED**
smh, guys do not slip a two punch combo from each side. SLIP once if you know he's gonna follow through with that right duck it , sway and position again
Excellent and fundamental instruction. To the person who complains that his eyes are off his opponent ?! That's because he is talking to the camera and explaining things. Also he does squat on his ducks. There is nothing wrong with his technique. Keep in mind as well that every boxing coach and fighter has his own slight variations in technique.
Isn’t it interesting how floyed maywhether or whatever is short yet also is impeccable with the rock back like Muhammad Ali was? The power of the Mind one time
Please be very careful when doing punch slip. You need to be very precise in timing because your head is only few inches away from opponent's punch otherwise you'll get punched so hard
I used to love slipping a jab and countering with a right cross. Or slipping a right cross and countering with a left hook. One time I sparred a southpaw and kept getting hit straight in the forehead....... like I couldn’t time him or something
I never liked slipping the right hand back across the face after the jab..... I slip and stay (right hand catches right hand) or slip and step in, slip and counter, slip and Parry, but not a fan of slip one way than the other, often times you end up calling that right hand slipping it ✌🏽
Awesome video! A thing regarding the parry that is worth mentioning: Put force into the parry. Yes, you don't need to push it far, but you need force to get the fist away from your face. Also really nice tip on slip +roll + hook for short fighters.
Agreed on putting force in that parry, especially if your opponent is bigger/heavier than you. Any doubters should try it on a big guy & see for themselves. If you want to take this stuff to the next level, there's a free mini course at howtofightnow.com, & the full course is at half price for a short time. More free stuff at howtofightnow.com/videos/
@Patriotic American yeah exactly defense in mma and muay Thai is very different and you need way more footwork and fakes and feints rolling or ducking can be very dangerous most of the mma fighter don't have a great defense and in muay Thai also
I box and this is a solid training vid. The only thing I would add is you need to constant move your head after you throw a punch. I see guys on the focus pads, and heavy bag bobbing and weaving and slipping punches. Then when they spar don't move there head. MOVE YOUR HEAD!! lol For example when you jab once slip to your left. Jab twice slip left then right. When you hook left and right right after bob right and left. If you throw a 5 punch combo you should have moved 5 times.
Good Boxing coach, with some great tips. Especially the 'rock-back/shoulder-roll' overhand right counter to the jab or cross. Similar to Kyokushinkai Karate, but the opponent bounces back and then forward quickly, on delivering the reverse punch. So many commonalities in fighting principles, in different martial arts. For example, the Boxing parry is practically identical to the goose neck block in Jujutsu. Boxing is such an underrated skill in martial arts, but essential to know. It's the core of most good Muay Thai / Muay Boran training IMHO. The kicks, knees, elbows, sweeps, etc. are the extras that are added, but it all originates from a proficient Boxing base. Thank you for uploading.
He's right but when you slip the first then duck the right hand. i was always taught to hit the body with my right then throw my left hook coming up (im southpaw/switch)
U should have mixed it up more,,u completely ignored the counter to the body,,,its not all about head shots,,,,when u slip a jab give em a counter to the body then go upstairs then back to the body,,that's the true art of bobbin and weavin while ur punchin,,,,good vid tho
Thank you this was very helpful I will put this information to good use 🙏🏽. I’m still starting out so I’m trying to learn all the techniques I want to be a great undefeated fighter and I will be someday.
I'm sure there are plenty of people here saying they're bad ass fighters, who will know everyone and anyone out, so I'll just say it... No one here is a good Boxer. If you were a good, or even decent Boxer, you'd have no reason to watch a video on slipping punches.
if you slip 1 way and then the right hand comes you dont go back to your original position because they will know you're going there so they would aim you go from your first slip to the 2nd one never back to the original position
This is why I don't normally always trained with large gloves these are fantastic videos but if you notice all the many contact point moments where the boxer is hitting with their pinky knucklethat is a good way to break your hand hence the term boxer's fracturewhich is why I also use smaller gloves to when I trained because it helps train a correct punching technique with that being said no way on Earth am I putting down this course in any way shape or form because this guy knows exactly what he's talkin about and I've added it to my list of courses that I have saved in my save file I just barely got back into training againand I would love to have mr. Car give me some tips since I don't have a very good gym in my area to go to have to do most of my stuff at home
when you slip a punch the hand that is away from the body leave the rib cage open, I rip that rib cage with that right hand black I'm trying to knock it over Mount Everest. I don't want a long fight. if I could slip punches that fluidly every time the hand extends from the body or is about to leave the body that's where my punches go he's got two sides, left side right side. that's where I punch for I don't try to hit anybody in the head not till after they drop their hands to cover their bodies. everybody don't have to fight the same way.
Find me someone who's not currently a world champion that can bounce and sit while throwing consistent punches for 12 rounds and I myself will become a boxing promoter just for that guy.
i have a question. if your boxing someone and looking for the slip to get inside where should you look, at his hands or his shoulders like you say? cuz i usually look at his hands
The parry (like used here) is also great for defending against a knife thrust. The best knife self defense material/videos I've ever seen are in a course at howtofightnow.com. The courses are not cheap, but there's also a lot of free mini-courses.
Crossing centre - slipping jab and then slipping the right works in theory but is almost impossible in reality and you will eat the right hand. Slip n roll or parry block are better options.
WHen I was a young boxer I’d slip the jab( less powerful tool) and then roll under his right cross( usually the most powerful weapon......bro bro ur gonna get somebody hurt in there NEVER SLIP TO THE INSIDE POWER SHOT.......
Old men are the best teachers...Rip Cus D'amato Much respect

ronda rousey shoulda watched this shit id still have my 600 usd

Thanks for the compliment. The old dude is getting much older.
I earned it and I kinda like Old Dude. You young guys will be there before you know it. I appreciate your comment.
Look at Hopkins and Foreman

How is the boxing going?
Rolling under the right cross after slipping the jab to the outside is much safer. If you slip the jab outside and try to slip the right, you risk leaning into the cross which makes it much more devastating if he lands.
that's exactly what I thought when I saw it...I've only begun kickboxing though so my opinion doesn't hold much weigh haha ;)
pander22 Who does that. ??
If you slip a jab to the right...the only way to move is to the left of the opponent. (Your right side)
pander22 And you can counter with a left upper cut to the chin...followed by a right hook to the jaw/head. Which ever you target.
what do you mean who does that?? .. oh idk every professional boxer ever smh. ducking after you slip to the right is perfect. all you gotta do is position straight after OR you can counter with a strong upper cut.

Diederik muhammad Ali
I tried to parry a jab once and I got punched in face anyways. after that I never boxed again
Happens sometimes man get that guy back now.
Happened to me many times, just keep on going
It wont work everytime, u gotta practice. If u wanna box sometimes ull get hit, just like if u wanna do jiujitsu ull get submitted
Must've been a mean jab thrown with bad intentions to get you to quit. Got hit with a powerful straight once and saw stars, took a week off before I went back into the ring sparring
