Awesome fishing video. It looked like Houston kept catching all the Crappie. That's one of my favorite fish to catch and eat, too. Houston is the perfect kid. He is very smart, polite. A young gentleman. Great job Daniel and DeeJay 🥰🥰🌞🌞

As for the popping pot. Humidity, etc. can deposit water in the micropores of the smoothest-feeling pan. On rapid heating those droplets boil instantly. The creation of a bubble makes a shock wave - the pop.

You're right Huston, cold blooded fish feel NO PAIN. They don't have the brain to feel pain, just the flight signial. That's why some larger fish don't even know they are caught until close to the bank, dock, or boat.

There is really little water drops in it. I know this from 50 plus years of cooking fish. Also experienced this from our parents taking us fishing on the side of river banks whe we were kids. Cook outs, always loved our times many many years ago. This is why i love watching your videos. 😁😁😁😁😁🙃😂🤣

My favorite fish are yellow perch, walleye, crappie, white bass and bluegill. I use a beer batter mix to fry them and they are very delicious. I use a 5 gallon bucket to put them in with an aerator to keep them alive as long as possible and if there's not a meal I can release them in good shape. Keeping them alive also keeps the flavor high and good. I really enjoyed this video. May the Lord keep blessing you and yours.
If you catch more than you can eat, a good way to store extra fresh fish is a ziplock bag with water over fish and freeze.

I'm with Dejay - you guys can have all the sand bass and we'll take the croppie. Filet that fish, put it on a grill with butter, salt and garlic powder. Yummy!
Last Sunday my ex ( he lives on Grand Lake) caught 47 crappie off of his dock in 1 hour. My friend and her hubby fished for 5 hours and cleaned 88 crappie! They had some grandkids with them. Everyone they talked to was catching fish faster than they could mess with them!

I got home about an hour ago with a stringer full of crappies. As much as I want to fry some up now it's 10pm here in NY and I think I'll wait until tomorrow. I don't know why, but the crappies were on a feeding frenzy from about an hour before dark up until we left. ✌🏼
6:48 I haven’t fished since my fishing buddy passed away 25 years ago, I just bought my fishing license in great part to you Daniel and Houston. Now the dilemma, you don’t have enough water and I’ve got to much water all my local brooks are way to high to fish.

The way you filleted those fish was so easy! I've never done that and wish I'd have learned. Dad and I did catch and release cause the fish we caught were small sun fish.

Love fishing for old paper mouths, I use a pencil bobber and either a worm or magnets on ultra light with 2 lb test .

Some moisture in the pot creates that popping with the oil.. Always love your "fishing shows" and the catch and cooks.!..
I've had my pot's pop like yours did it's usually because of moisture. That is some good looking fish

the popping in your pan is from water inside the pot at the bottom you have a ring. It has a leak thats letting water inside when washed.

Nothing like fishing videos !!! Freeze some of the crappies for winter months !!! Scale them filet them then soak in salt water then put into bags for winter months !!! MAN OH MAN they are tasty for Winter Months even in a SOUP !!! That is what I would do Dan !!! Loved how Houston had the tackle it was the thing I would do also !!! It was Pretty so the fish would be biting them also !!!
Croppies are good to freeze in fresh water. They taste as if you just fish them.Good luck guys.

I use them same green and blue crappie magnets and catch hella bass with them almost every cast
Enjoyed watching the two of you fishing. The pot may have been popping because it was damp it you had just previously rinsed it. Water and hot oil don't mix as I am sure you are well aware.
