Mines is black exterior with brown bucket seats and bronze wheels over the ceramic brakes. And carbon fiber package. And the 10 speed since everyone wanted the manual. I love being different

The TC in the Caddy will let the car get way out of sorts before it intervenes. It makes the car feel much more sketchy than it actually is. My Blackwing feels less planted than my Hellcat Challenger, but once you're used to it, it's faster for sure.

My cousin worked the Assembly Line for GM during the mid 1980s. He said of all the GM cars assembled. That the Cadillac was given special treatment. GM wanted that car to arrive at the Dealership with little to none problems. Perfection was its model. Better assembled than all GM cars. And quality engine valves. Cadillac is still here. There's a reason for that. Isn't it?

    • @pepinocabron

They are crap cars now. They are so way behind toyota and honda these days. In the 80s honda and Toyota were not popular cars so people didn't know how good they were. I guess it paid off to make things right from the beginning for honda and Toyota. It sure took more then 25 years for customers to realize how Good honda and Toyota are, but look at them now selling more then all of the other brands. Soon is going to be the German cars next going out of business (mercedez-bmw-audi. vw is already out). Mazda the third better company.

I am so tempted to get this car. I was worried I'd regret the interior being a few years out of date, but I'm quickly realizing I'd dislike the use of a giant touch screen to manage everything in a car. This would also be a car to keep, not trade in in a few years, as it's likely to be the greatest ICE ever made by a US car company.

    • @GCCarsCA

This Blackwing was fully optioned out. Just went to the US site to build a 2023 and the price came out at $117,565. As that seemed pretty high I went back to the Canadian site, turns out the 2023 Blackwing as specced is about $15,000 CAD more than last year...
But even then it's still over $20,000 USD cheaper in a direct conversion compared to what it costs in the US. Certainly loosing the "bargain" appeal here, but it's still my favorite sedan on the market!
      Option List:
      - Black Raven Paint
      - Natural Tan w/ Black Interior
      - Carbon Fibre Package 1
      - Carbon Fibre Package 2
      - Tech Bronze Wheels

I’ve got a Gen 2 and it’s a decent car, but the difference between it and the BW5 is orders of magnitude, the brakes and handling of the BW5 is ridiculous. It’s not the quickest sled out 5here but from point A to point B, nothing with 4 doors is faster/quicker, unless you spend at least double. Plus it’s engaging and fun, without having it feel like you’re along for the ride as a result of the Nannie’s doing it all. The BW5 along with the new Z06 are the only current new cars I’d consider today, and of course a 911 Turbo S convertible

I’m guessing bc those are closer in HP. The m3 is in the 400s. I’m also guessing bc the blackwing is closer to m3 in size but slightly larger so they would compare it to the e63 n m5.

What I meant is that (for me) the Blackwing is best combination of everything you could need in a car: It's more practical than a 911, more engaging than BMW / Mercedes / Audi and has a very unique personality. Not to talk down on the amazing cars that the E63, M5, and RS6 are. Like you said, what constitutes the best car in the world is entirely down to your own set of preferences.

Paint quality isn't perfect unfortunately. It seems like more and more manufacturers are cheapening out on it.

You talk too much, I can't hear the car exotic noises..

I don't think you were looking for a review, but more a raw driving video I reckon. I usually do these, but had to temporarily pause them until I have caught up with the regular videos.

@@GCCarsCA To Each their own, I guess that's why you're not the most popular car reviewer, go watch the big Dog reviewers like Straight Pipes, Rati rides to see how well put their car reviews are!

Dumb title. Cadillacs are fun cars but trash cars for longevity.
You are better off with an Rs7 or E63 Type S.

To be fair, the Germans aren't really know for their reliability either... and the Blackwing will be much more fun than the RS7 or E63.

@GCCars German car reliability has come a long way, I've owned both. Current owner of a 2023 C8 and had an Audi S4 before it and it was flawless, no issues at all. This caddie is a nice looking car, having a manual for such a big luxury sports sedan is great.

@@GCCarsCA everyone says that but every German car I’ve owned has been 100% problem free and I don’t baby my cars. Had a 14 S4 stage 1 tuned with 130k problem free miles when I traded for my 21 RS5 Sportback, and it’s been flawless so far, too.
