That was fun to watch! I think your hair colour in the original video looks good, but I noticed the condition of your hair in your reaction video looks noticeably better and healthier!! It looks super nice and in great condition!
I didn’t really notice the hair color change because it was so gradual, but wow! Seeing it side by side, your new color is way more flattering. I love the honey blonde on you.
The side by side is incredible! I remember watching that original video when it first came out, and thinking your hair was SO long and healthy, but now it's at a whole other level. Crazy!
Yes more reactions! She is such a sweetheart I feel like she would be good at giving helpful criticism while teaching her viewers her up to date knowledge on hair 🥰
Thanks for taking one for the team, Abbey, it was really fun! I've been watching you since even before that video, back when you were filming in your bedroom. And look at you now, with over 400K subscribers!! You've come a long way 🙌🥳💞
It's so awesome to see your hair journey over the years - I've become a loyal Abbey follower! I would love to know your hair color progression since then, and how you achieved the beautiful dark blonde color you're rocking now.
I actually have a hair salon vlog up already! That's what my stylist has been doing for over a year now so the bleach has just continued to grow out even more since that video was posted!
I'm a British Guy 40 and with a shaven head ! I love your skincare content and equally love the hair care too ( even though I don't need the great advice ) 😂😂😂
😂 you're awesome. I have a similar thing with the wedding dress show- not married, don't care about fashion but, man do I love "Say Yes to the Dress"! The consultants always make the ladies feel confident and beautiful
Hi Abby I have a question for you. Should someone that has dry hair still be able to use a clarifying shampoo? I heard that clarifying shampoo can only be used for someone with oily scalp. What do you think?
Your hair now is so healthy looking! I’ve tried the ouai detox shampoo and it left my hair greasy the next day. Tried it several times before giving up. Any idea why?
today at work (the orange store) a girl showed up at the register with a bunch of products you recommend like the andrew fitzsimmons repair mask, eva nyc hair mask, loreal bond shampoo, and the ogx coconut miracle oil!! I asked her if she watches you, and she said she wasn't sure and then showed me a screenshot of one of your TikToks. I told her you are the mecca of hair advice and that everything she was buying would be so great for her hair. it was super cool to see others watching your videos and taking your advice!
Abby❤ I have learned SO MUCH from you in the past 2 years, I Chopped off 6" and I'm so excited to see where I can get in one year! Thank you for all you teach us 🙏
I have been watching since your original post ... you have exactly the hair type I had when I was your age, and I still have, though my grays are a bit coarser. With your info, I'm still maintaining my hip length hair (and I might be older than your mom). When I first started watching, my ends were frizzy and straw-like and I was positive I needed to chop them off ... based on your videos I switched my hairbrush, tried Olaplex (works great for me), and stopped wet combing in the shower. I even tried the merest smidge of oil on my ends ... all that did the trick, my hair looks great. My latest discovery from you is the EverPure bond repair conditioner. I tried a different EverPure conditioner, it did nothing ... but the bond repair one is fantastic! My ends looked smooth and shiny for 5 days after shampooing with no further product. I owe you one of my home formulated shampoo bars ... I think you will like it as much as I do. If you ever have a local meet-up (I'm in uptown, work downtown), I'll bring you one.
what hair brush did you switch to ? I thought it was okay to comb our hair in the shower with conditioner in ? I do that sometimes if the mask or conditioner doesn’t have a lot of slip. But I will stop if it’s bad.
@@iah8331 i'm using a WET brush ... on dry hair. It works through tangles much more gently than other brushes. As for wet combing with conditioner ... it will depend entirely on your hair type and its health. My hair sheds less and has more volume if I don't comb in the shower ... and the WET brush takes out any shampooing tangles - again, not used until after my hair dries. Your specific hair type and health will make a big difference in how you handle it. Some people absolutely must wet comb, others gave severe breakage if they do.
1. Coconut-based oil (not too much) - leave overnight in braid 2. K18 instead of olaplex3 3. Deep conditioning hair mask IN the shower, after shampoo 4. Make sure that your hair is brushed through before shower 5. Use hardwater filter 6. Double shampoo method !! 7. Scalp massager with flexible bristles 8. Conditioner 9. Hair mask 10. Use microfibre towel, squeeze your hair gently
🙋🏼♀️I’ve been watching your videos since you had a podcast and were doing workout videos-in fact, I came across your workout guide a few weeks ago! 😆 You have certainly come a long way and it’s been exciting watching your channel grow and all your hard work pay off! 💜
Hi Abbey! Would you be able to review the Macadamia hair line? I know its been around for a long time but I was wondering how it compares to the other haircare lines you've tried.
I have to say the routine you used to have was really good just as your current one 👍🏻 when I use a hair mask before I shower it's very beneficial on my hair as much as using an oil!
You look absolutely incredible. Your skin and hair compliment each other so well. Can you please make a video about your current hair color, how you achieved it and the technique you used? You look beyond beautiful and healthy.
Thank you so much! It's in my hair salon vlog from last year- that's still what my stylist does now the bleach has just grown out even more since then 😊
I forgot to ask if you would consider doing a video on clothing for taller women? 🙂. What are your go to brands for jeans, tops, jackets, maxi dresses, skirts, etc. I am 5’10” and would love your suggestions! You always look so polished.
Your hair is such a beautiful color now compared to that old video! It's close to my natural color, which I messed up after growing my virgin hair for 3 years! Yikes, I know! I'm showing your pic to my stylist!!! So pretty!
Wow…. Seeing u have to watch a video of your old self…. And talk about the changes…. Very self affirming. Thanks for talking about the differences. Growing is a must and u certainly have Miss Abbey. Love what u are doing and I am now using the OGX coconut miracle oil…. Loving it. Can u please review the Moremo Miracle 10? I purchased it and really love it but wondering if it is worth the hype??? Thanks !! ❤❤
In the curly community, most of us never brush our hair while it's dry and detangle in the shower with the hair saturated in conditioner. I know for myself this has made detangling my hair 1000 times easier and I think with less damage. I'm loving these videos where you revisit your old videos 💜
@@kat-pe8okngl i feel like it depends like if u style it wavy ur gonna have to brush ur hair but if u style it straight or blow it out it’s probably best to not brush it.
So I have this weird skin condition wear I produce extra layers of top skin which produces way more dead skin. When I jump in the shower I have to exfoliating 3-5 times with gloves and even then I can firmly brush my finger over my skin and will create dead skin roll ups. Haha I recently switched to a bath brush and that completely did the trick and stripped my skin! I was so desperate to deal with my dandruff cause it's not the common reason which is yeast... so the normal antifungal dandruff shampoos don't won't on me. So I was driven to use that skin brush on my scalp... and it did that trick but I feel it damaged my hair. Any suggestions? Maybe sugar scrubs or something?
Updated wash day routine please? 🙏🏼🙂 I know it's likely super similar to the one you posted a uear ago, but I love seeing the updated hair and skin care videos. ❤
I have a question about mane & tail shampoo & conditioner. There has been a lot of hype around it because it's an affordable shampoo & conditioner, and apparently, it's great for fine hair, which is what I have. I am using Redken volumizing shampoo & conditioner, which work great, but my hair could use something better. However, before attempting to use mane & tail, I wanted to do my research first and consult others about their honest opinions and research. Thoughts and opinions?
The ingredients in the miracle oil have changed it now has more argon than coconut, is mostly dimethicone and isopropyl myristate This is a big change, any opinions?
Hey Abbey! thank you for all the awesome videos. I would love if you could make a video on fragrance free haircare lines or hair products for sensitive skin. xx
I have virgin, pretty healthy hair but the water where I live is pretty hard. I have hard water filters but I haven't really done a lot about oiling pre shampoo. Would you still recommend coconut oil in my case? Or do you think another one would be better? I love your videos, you're inspiring me to grow my hair long again!

Hi Abby, my hair is bleached and long but I don’t want any more bleach on it as they take it through to the ends. What options do I have to avoid roots but not to use bleach highlights? Would you suggest a root shadow?
"Less is more" Once a week I use either Jojoba oil or Organic cold pressed coconut oil. For a whole lot less $$ I get better results than commercial products. A home or shower water filter is important, I agree. The first shampoo breaks up the grease and the 2nd shampoo actually cleans the hair.
How often do you change out your hard water filter ? Not change brands but change the filter. I have no idea how often I’m suppose to replace the filter.
She mentioned in her previous videos that it needs to be changed every 6 months but because she has such hard water in her apartment, she changes it every 3-4 months
I have super fine hair... I find that the majority of my tangles just fall out in the shower when I condition. I don't need to brush before I shower. Also I don't like to because then I feel like I need to wash my hair brush before I can use it on my now squeaky clean hair.

Can you do a video dedicated on tips and things you do/ use to prevent unhealthy/damaged hair. Everything from the moment someone starts their day to the moment they’re in bed 🛌. Please do a detailed step by step wash and styling routine. I love your videos but I feel a bit lost between the different videos and the shorts you create. I know you have great info and tips but it’s so spread out in your Chanel I feel that I can’t follow because I have to switch back and forth between a video or short. Currently I am trying to restart my healthy hair growth journey. It might be a long video but I will watch every second of it because I truly believe and trust your advice. 🥺🧡
@@ShaniAlexis What happens is they use a keratin solution to form a layer outside of the cuticle which results in smooth hair but it can damage your hair the same way a perm does so you won't be able to lighten your hair and if you have naturally wavy or curly hair your roots will be textured but mid lengths and ends straight. I'd say if frizz is really a concern of yours the smoothness outweighs the risk of damage.
It’s so funny cause your voice sounds so different in that „old“ video. Btw I love all your videos and even though I can’t manage my hair that good - my colleagues call me the hair queen 😂❤

I know you have great info and tips but it’s so spread out in your Chanel I feel that I can’t follow because I have to switch back and forth between a video or short. Currently I am trying to restart my healthy hair growth journey. It might be a long video but I will watch every second of it because I truly believe and trust your advice. 🥺🧡
Love you Abby we all learn and grow ❤️
Can you review Brazilian blowouts? My hair dresser mentioned me doing it to help frizz and blow dry time
Similar to a perm and can damage your hair
@@Boudicaisback She told me that it would be good for my hair by closing the cuticle.
@@Boudicaisback Oh, interesting. Thank you, I do lighten my hair. I have dark blonde hair and lighten it to a bright blonde.
çok güzelsin✨🦋
It’s so funny cause your voice sounds so different in that „old“ video.
Btw I love all your videos and even though I can’t manage my hair that good - my colleagues call me the hair queen 😂❤
Can I say your hair colour now >>>>>>>> your hair colour back then? Also, I'm mesmerized by your waves 😂😂
Thanks Abbey...I remember that video:)
It’s like a different person. I love how you’re judging you’re older self as if she’s someone else 😂. You definitely know your stuff now.
Here in the uk we have some very underrated shampoo and conditioner by eighttripleeight that are really good and are a litre for £2 at Poundland, I’d recommend it if you need a cheap good quality shampoo and conditioner
