At 13:40, the king wouldn't be able to take the pawn because the knight would fork the it and the queen. Stockfish is actually savage and prefers Raf1 rather than fork though.
You do a crazy good job keeping chess interesting and doing a good job charging through all the computer lines to fascinating human play (I am a human). Thanks !
@@tombos211 I think the queen is still trapped, white does not have to take the Bishop. So, after a3 Ba6 Rfb1 Bxd3+ Kxd3 the queen has no moves and after the queen is sacrificed for one rook, white has 3 minor pieces for the rook
After 10... Nc6 you recommend 11. Be3 which seems reasonable at first glance, but black has 11... d4! which cannot be taken due to the looming threat of Qh4+. So after 12. Bf4 black has the resourceful 12... b5 trying to activate his queen side pieces and most likely succeeding as the b5 pawn seems poisoned. 11... d4! could very well make 10... Nc6 the critical line.
I use a lot of your ideas in my games. I didn't get how I would try to win with these ideas saccing the queen right away and playing down material for a long time.
Great game ! I'm sorry I missed your latest stream, I had some more fun stuff to share. Could you let us know when you are planning to stream next ? Also don't forget our deal !
UGH! I haven't even learned your Marshall Scandinavian anti-modern gambit yet, and you're trying to pull me to the 1...e5 repertoire I've craved for decades! STOP! Too much theory man! I've bookmarked this as I thought there weren't any anti-Pavnov (now called Russian Game? WHY?) gambits. If you ever find an antidote to the Goring and something with even more teeth than the Steinitz, I'll have a complete "dream repertoire".

8:24 "Boring actually. Actually boring."
S-tier line. Absolutely hilarious.
how did the petrov get so freaking violent on chess RUclips? it's the petrov! you and Rosen are tampering with nature

Hi! I was the one who shared this opening! Great video, and hoping to see more of that in the future maybe

Sounds like someone pretending to be a human would say
At 12:50 can you trap the queen with a3? Queen has no moves, then Rfb1 next move
Great idea ! Maybe Ba6 saves the queen?
@@dymalash Ahh yeah I think you're right, black has to sac the bishop to get their queen out

@@dennismuller1141 a3 Ba6 Rfb1 Qxc1 and the Bishop on d3 is pinned so queen escapes. Regardless, Bxa6 wins a piece so still a good outcome for white
@@tombos211 nice find, didn't see that

Biggest surprise for me was learning that one of the most fun and engaging chess channels only has 50k subscribers
1:46 So, like a Traxler with colours reversed?
@Gehteuch Nichtsan Traxler is 0.0
Curious about the Petrov 🙏

I love this type of content! Feeding up my (Petrov) Repertoire! :D
Like it even if it’s hard to find the right move
This was dope
So how shall we call this? The "Rare Gambit"? I like.

what a baffling opening. very cool!
this queen sacrifice looks better, almost equality:
8. Qd3 d5 9.exd6 O-O 10. Nxe4 fxe4 11.Qxe4 Re8 12. Qxe8+ Qxe8+ 13. Kxf2
wow. AMAZING PETROFF WIN 😃😃😃
Stockfish gave me a pretty nice position queen sac in the sicilian just the other day
And now i cant find it aaaaaaa
