The Wagon Gambit is after multiple plays undefeated in tournament play, truly a opening to be feared. Like the Ravens and Buccaneers in the Super Bowl.

I played the Wagon Gambit in a FIDE-rated game (me ~1830, opponent ~2050) last month. White defended well and I made a stupid blunder to lose a piece.

Noooo, Wagon is no longer undefeated. In Jonathan's presentation video on the opening he shows a game in which he crushed me by playing 8...d5 9 exd Bf5!? White objectively still has a large adavantage but it"s very difficult to figure out without prep or engine assistance. Props to you for wheeling out the wagon though !

The wagon gambit is all about the strength of an early rook. Use that rook if you play the wagon.
