Once you get to 1500 you can usually remember 75% of the tricks from one video, and if you forget them you just play and analyze your game afterwards, even checking the video again
Do you have any tips on how to memorize an opening like this? I'd like to practice it in real games, but by the time I've gotten an opponent that actually plays what's needed I've forgotten what to do in that position.
I suggest play it on your own, you need to play for both side as black/white and think about possible moves, you can check lichess database about which move is played more often and regarding the popular moves+win rates you can even create your own variation. Don't forget sometimes even bad moves could be tricky so it's up to you study enough to the point where you're no longer blundering anything before applying in it to your real matches. you can create multiple studies for multiple variations on the board, good luck 🤞
Not really. That’s one of the worst moves. Just check the engine. Maybe taking the kings pawn works for u because ur 1000 Elo and it works for you, but otherwise, bishop to c5 IS a BAD move
The urusov goes for d4 instead of Nc3, sacrificing both center pawns to allow for traps and an active queen after 1. E4 E5 2. Bc4 Nf6 3. D4 Nxe4 4. Nf3 Exd4 5. Qxd4 Sure, you could transpose into this if you played d4 after Nxe4, but the lines showed in this video are completely different
bishop c5 1:39
knight c6 2:38
*knight trade* 3:15 pawn d6
knight c6 defend 5:55
queen to f6 7:00
pawn to d5 8:20
bishop to e7 9:00
pawn c6 d5 push 10:50
pawn f6 12:00
pawn f6 d6 13:30
Now is just the question how do i memorize all of this
Practice
I think I'm gonna take the time to write it out and study the chart, I've never seen this gambit but I love it
Write it down and play it when it occurs

U not remember it you need to understand
Love your video style! You have a great way of explaining things
This 11:57 is a reversed Stafford Gambit found at page 102 footnote h(B)of MCO15.
10:10 Hey its mate in 8. So instead we should play nh6 check. Check stockfish for followup moves
But any normal player wouldnt be able to find it or even remember it
@@prakharbg9763 But this prep. And i checked it, it's not very difficult to learn.
W upload as always
Underrated
6:45 after you massacre the pawns they can move the queen to pin you so the f3 pawn is absolutely not lost.
Stafford Gambit W
You just earned a new subscriber :)))
This will be very helpful
What if the take the b6 pawn with their knight instead of taking the c3 knight?
To gain viewers
Thanks
Looks exactly like the Stafford Gambit setup just inverted for white!
Amazing
Put this video link in comments of that short
It would help
1:35 after nxe4 nc6 is the busch gass gambit that shit slaps 💯 just a better traxler
I never saw so many traps in one video
Volclus i love u ❤
If you made it to the end without skipping, you are truly a lover of chess.

What if black simply plays pawn to H6 to prevent the knight move?
E5 pawn is hanging
6:22 wouldn’t they just take with their queen instead of moving Be6?
The c1 bishop defends that knight. Big blindspot!
@@Volclus Do you mean the bishop is defended by the queen?
@@Malefic_Roar if their queen takes the knight then the bishop on c1 could just take their queen
@@cuagg1 Bro im talking the bishop and also i know all of that no need to tell me.
@@Malefic_Roar calm down
What if they push pawn to e4 and attack the knight?
U can also make some videos on how to defend the traps
Then don't bite it
Thank
S
Well, now it's known
What am i gonna do if they dont take my knight :(
Then capture on e5, then you won’t even be down a pawn with a massive lead in development
@@Volclus thx
10:10 is Bg5, pining the bishop on e3 a good move?
16:07 "I would much rather be white here" i meeaaannnnn
Nice.
What if they play queen to e7 after I castled (12:08)? 🤔
Maybe Knight to e4 and if they capture with pawn, move tower to e1 trying to capture their queen?
1:27 Bishop to C5 is NOT a bad move. After bishop takes your king pawn you're in a world of hurt and can no longer castle.
Not really. That’s one of the worst moves. Just check the engine. Maybe taking the kings pawn works for u because ur 1000 Elo and it works for you, but otherwise, bishop to c5 IS a BAD move
@zorkchess It's called the "traxler gambit" look it up.
@@mysteriousmusik actually the traxler happens after knight to g5, not when white has captured the e5 pawn
It’s can be tricky to play for white if ur not rated good, but white is able to obtain a winning position
the problem with chess teachers..... !!!! they explai so many "possible" moves, that we just get lost off main idea
How to defend this?
I show the mainline which is pawn to f6
@@Volclus Aww, Thanks!
a.k.a. Petrov's Defence: Urusov Gambit
This literally isnt the urusov
The urusov goes for d4 instead of Nc3, sacrificing both center pawns to allow for traps and an active queen after 1. E4 E5 2. Bc4 Nf6 3. D4 Nxe4 4. Nf3 Exd4 5. Qxd4

Where's the fried liver attack video?
at 10:10 u missed nh6 mate in 8
Isn’t this just the Evan’s gambit?
3:48 u can sac the bishop instead and scewer the king and queen on the next move but u would have to sac the knight first
Completely true, that is winning, but Ng5 even more so
