Worked great. Thanks...I wouldnt do this kind of work on my mustang, harley, or jeep (maybe my jeep) but my hyundai commuter ( the car I rely on to get me to work), you bet.
Weird question - but what is the part called behind the studs that has the sweet spot to pop them out? Where the slot is when you had to spin the wheel to get the perfect spot to pop the stud out. My 08 Elantra’s is completely rotted and I’m just wondering if it’s important to replace lol
@@henrykn4257 I was thinking the same thing. Got the job done, but not the correct way to do it. Sometimes you just have to take pride in doing it right.
It’s whatever size socket that your lug nut uses. Just if you use an impact gun, make sure to use and impact socket. you can buy the socket set here amzn.to/3H6w3HW and you can purchase the impact here amzn.to/3o0M7nc there’s others you can choose from but in my opinion, I highly recommend Milwaukee
I cannot tell you what to do about that but I can tell you what we did. But so you know this is for informational purposes only and if attempted , it is at your own risk. I suggest you ask a professional before any modifications outside of manufactures specs. Ok now with that being said, we cut a notch in the dust shield big enough to drive it out and in. It was very tight . You can see the notch in the video if you look closely.
Gotta love how he skipped the part that he cut the dust shield lol
Basically the only part that mattered lol
Thank You I’m replacing mine and your video gave me the extra help that I needed

The space for that stud to go in and out isn't factory.
