This man just saved my life, snapped a stud doing a rotation and guess I didn’t know my own strength. Suppose I might need to invest in a torque wrench thingy
Great job as always. I always use a c clamp prior to removing the caliper. Makes it easier when it is still installed on knuckle. just a little push is all you need. Great video, nice & clear & to the point.
I came here to see how complicated it was to decide if I wanted a shop to do this, or just replace the hub assembly, but I think you convinced me to do this myself.
I seen where the stud is not only broken but it worn the hole where if sits to a oblong hole making it hard to put in a new stud, what do you do then??
i have a Honda and there’s a lip preventing me from taking mine out. Does every car have that little space to knock em out? Wasn’t paying too much attention on mine to notice.
@@yslheav Yeah Hondas can be tough on some things and easier on others. If you ever have any questions on this kind of stuff hit me up and I will guide you through it.
Very informative, my repairers Auto Masters replaced the brakes and rotars and had the opportunity to replace 2 damaged studs but didnt. Now they want to charge me $300 plus $65 for each stud......does that make sense? No. because I would say they damaged the studs after putting on the rotars, but couldnt be bothered fixing their mistake cause why the hell would you not replace 2 lousy studs while putting on the rotars. Oh Im sure to give them a good review. They also said my daughters car had no brakes, but she's been driving everywhere in that car, on the freeway everywhere......no brakes huh? I said "The front brakes too? Yep no brakes at all was the reply. "Funny I said cause her partner replaced the front brakes just recently!!!!! lying bstard! Yep Auto Masters in Baldivis, off Safety Bay road. Dont even go there!
Thanks for the instructions broke a stud and was worried I'd have to replace the entire wheel hub 😅
I liked your really quick and informative video on how to install a wheel stud. I also appreciate the camera angles.
@@ZJIGGA Thanks for the feedback 👍

Very good explanation
The problem is usually caused by places that repair punctured tires that over tighten the wheel nuts
No way it was that easy, i thought it would be more complex 😅 thanks for the video man
local mechanic quoted me $250 and i went straight to youtube 😭
Thanks for making it look so easy. Indeed, it is a great video cutting to the chase.🙏🙏
I hope my '72 corvette rear wheel has the clearance provided to remove and install a broken lug! Great video!
Nobody mentions using the rotor as a spacer to help pushing it through. Thanks!
Great video. Very well presented.
Thank you
I’ve looked at tons of videos and your video is the best.
Thank you sir.

I am guessing you got this figured out yes?
@ yeah, Honda made it difficult to take em out without having to alter the heat shield or anything else in order to do so, just took her to the shop.

What do you do if the lug and tire are still on and ya can't get the stud through?
@@Coatsy71 if the lug nuts holding the rim on are stuck then you may need to use a breaker bar to loosen them.
Do both front tires have to be up in the air?
