How to use decoupage on glass,DIY furniture flip.

- In today’s tutorial I am on a fact-finding mission using decoupage the reverse side of glass to create my very own chinoiserie style project, there are also a couple of brand-new products to me one of which is a company called Polyonlay Who create superthin appliqués for furniture and craft projects.
All in all I think the whole process turned out pretty well it ran kind of quite smoothly so I’m hoping you all will enjoy the tutorial and maybe take away one or two Ideas for your future projects.

Gorgeous work. I would have used a gold wax - applied with a finger to pick out the edges and wood work. But that's me - I love gold 🌞🌞🌞

It's a masterpiece! It reminds me of reverse painting..

"GINGER CHICK REHAB- PROBKEM CHILD ...MAKEOVER. This is where you see her maje a mold of some moldings on one side using hot glue for replacing on the other. She fills the mold with wood putty and glues to the other side. It is amazing what a little ingenuity can do. Every body sharing is amazing. Thank you.

Love the design and color. This is the first time I have varied from your style. I would have painted the dental work and the horizontal line under it a touch of gold to bring out that gold/orange of the grasses. That gold touch up paint would be perfect on escutcheon and hinges also. SOO nice. I have been anxiously waiting for your next blog. thanks!!

Nix on the gilding. I'm from the "don't gild the lily" school. I know it is popular with many, but for me it cheapens the look of a piece, more of a detraction than an enhancement.
Same, I was thinking exactly that and skip the fretwork but adding a chinese hanging carved stone charm and silk tassle to the key. I'd have gone with a celadone interior.

I've done this on the inside of glass doors a couple of times and I used a cornflour mixture to decoupage with and used old net curtains and it worked well and lasts. I thought it would go mouldy over time as I live in a humid climate but it hasn't.

Just wow!
The onlays were a perfect touch. There was a transition problem without them. The bird is soft curves. The cabinet is all straight-line geometry. The onlay married both elements together. It is curvy but with a pronounced bisymmetry. The "thorns" sprouting from the onlay curves echo the scale and rhythm of the dentil molding.
