    ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.

    Have a great day!!

Yes, that indeed was emotional for me to watch. Consider this was before computers invaded our everyday life, before you could cheat your way through a music performance with pitch correction and backing tracks. That sound you heard was exactly what those 5 people, with their voices, hands, feet and fingers created. Nothing they did there was easy to do, including singing and playing an instrument at the same time, yet they made it look easy. Takes years to be able to do that! At that point in their careers, they were probably thrilled to hit that stage night after night, to smack people in the faces with the sound they created.

    • @scotabot7826

I saw them 2 weeks before the Houston concert. I saw them in 79’ a couple times but this particular show’s pace was incredible. On par with professional athletes. When I heard they recorded Houston, I knew then why the pace was quicker...they had to get all the songs into a certain timeline. I saw numerous rock bands in the late 79’s and 80’s and Journey was my all time favorite. Of late, I saw RUSH before they retired and their technical musicianship was par to none. The iconic Don't Stop Believing, "just a small town girl, living in a lonely world, she took the midnight train to anywhere", and Open Arms was in heavy rotation on the radio; but I loved the deeper tracks on this album that included Mother, Father and my favorite Still They Ride. Steve Perry is a legend. Unique, fantastic, phenomenal, incredible voice. 👌👌👌👌👌 Euphoric sensation to listen to him, as you mention in your video. You bring back great souvenirs and feelings in some of our minds with this post. He is not only good technically, but he has that "magic touch and tone" that optimizes the emotions that he literally "throws violently" to his audience and this is SO AMAZING to feel that while listening to a voice! I really loved this reaction / analysis video, thanks for sharing this with us! I hope that other great singers can bring that level of magic eventually! Best Regards from your friend François in Montreal, Canada! 🎼🃏🎶🎵🙏👍👍👍👏👏👏👌👌👌💛😁🌠

Been listening to Journey for 40 years, they're my all-time favorite group. This will always be Steve Perry's best vocal performance. "Mother, Father" is a BRUTAL song to sing and he acts as if it's a stroll through the park. I was watching Steve breathe. You've got to be in such good condition up there to be running around for an hour and a half or more and singing. This is such a challenging song, obviously, and yet, when he breathes, I rarely (if at all) see him move up shoulders up or chest puff out when he takes a breath. There is no tension there. Some of those phrases are long and he is taking nice, deep, diaphragmatic breaths. Great technique, this guy. Oh yeah, and one of the best voices of all time, you know that, too lol.
