So what I understood was that Clooney had a clue on how to play Batman but the director was clueless 😂😂😂

If they might just be crazy enough to try it, I might just be crazy enough to go watch it. Excellent analysis on a Batman most people don't even give a second look these days. I guess self-entitlement is the death of pragmatism.
What I'd definitely go watch without a second thought is Ben Affleck's Batman Beyond :D.

At this point everyone should play Batman, since WB doesn't want to keep one for more than a few years.

Btw I'm not saying that it's bad to have multiple at once, just that it can get quite confusing.

@@cow_king4223 Fair point; that's a symptom of a terrified studio that doesn't know what its doing. Ideally, you'd have a main cinematic universe, with consistent actors/characters, and sprinkle elseworlds interpretations and more indie takes on the side. Alas, WB did it the other way around, in a desperate attempt to catch up to Marvel.

I think George's character was funny enough but I think the marketing for the movie should be accurate to what it is.

I've not seen Clooney's batman mostly because of his smug demeanor - he's one of those actors whose films I avoided (like Decaprio, until I realised he's actually good following Blood Diamond- and Ben Affleck who Ive never gelled with in anything). I'm not sure the smugness would ever find a place in Batman even if he plays a father or mentor. Who wants a self-satisfied douche swanning around telling you how you should live/behave? Affleck and Clooney both insufferably smug but maybe, if their characters went through some terrible humiliation or another tragic event (orphan is no longer enough), I could root for them. Maybe Bruce Wayne is just not a character I can care about - although I did enjoy Pattinson's interpretation. I needed to have a think before properly commenting. Great vid as always, Cynical.

"orphan is no longer enough" made me chuckle. It's funny how the smug characters gravitate towards this role; probably cause it's built into the character. After all, we are talking about a billionaire who thinks he can save the world with his fists.
