Hey Jeff, when you have someone on the crane you have to click the button below the square spot that toggles where you want the empty pot set, you will see the table on the right. You want it on that and they will set the pot on the table for baiting :)
As I've said before, this is such a cool game. That ship is great, it's big and very detailed even interior. I'll definitely will be watching more videos with this game.

I love this series! And your comment about the joystick most commercial fishing vessels like that don’t have steering wheels they have jets on the side of the boat that helps it turn if I’m not mistaken feel free to call me out if I am
While many larger vessels like this one do use bow thrusters, that joystick is used for the rudder. Modern vessels use electric over hydraulic steering. Though, I'm sure the bow thruster controls can be on the stick as well.

Hey Jeff Favignano, I have fished out of Digby port for the last ten years, and ran boats for over half that time here. You don't usually use autopilot coming out of the Digby Gut because of all the current coming in the Digby Basin from the Bay of Fundy. I don't know if this game actually implemented that but, that's a thing. Love the video, think I'm going to have to pick this game up!
If u can play this on multiplayer i think it would be fun to watch u and the boys playing like have someone running the hole ship and have couple people down on the deck etc. And probably throw sum lil bit of roleplay in it
Hey Jeff when you crab fish try not jumping ahead time until you have all the pots set and remember the time you set the first pot and the last pot then jump ahead the total of 18 hours but minus the amount of time
You can click on any buoy in the map to see how long it's been set for. Subtract this from 18hrs 40 min (time takes to turn blue) to figure out how long to sleep.
God I really hope they do more with this game... or at least stop being so stingy and open the game up for modders, who'll increase their game sale by 1,000's of %.
Jeff you should do a nice long hour long video or so time lapse it in some spots and set all your pots and do a full haul on the crab set 10 pots here go set 10 pots there all over and see what works best for you
The crane operator was not doing anything because that's what he was being told to do, under the crane operator crew slot there is a "switch" with two symbols one looks like a pot, means hauling and the other looks like a table means set pot, it's a toggle able switch that in turn "makes him do something"
The reason you crain operator ant working to set is because you have to switch it to set right below the person you set on crain is a switch in crew management just click it

Green doesn't necessarily mean too old... they go from red to yellow to green then blue. I time mine so by the time I get to the next string it has turned blue.

I have an issue trying to fish crab on Xbox. Each time the crane sets the pot down, it glitches my boat backwards at about 20 knots. It doesn't do any damage, but it is quite annoying!

FYI Jeff, when you backup from a dock or slip you need to sound 1 long blast followed by 3 short on the ship's horn.

@@lbnewell23 exactly. as a commercial atlantic sea scallop fisherman, we only use them to get to/from the dock and to tie up alongside another boat
