    Erm hate to be a party pooper but the seats aren’t much good without seat belts! Any chance of a video fitting them?

    Really like the video. Some quality workmanship. Was hoping it might have ended up being a camper though! Shame to put the Kombi seat in! Good work though.

      Hi Chris thanks for the kind comments. Mike borrowed this van from a friend in order to shoot the video so we didn't have free rein over it...maybe next time!

    Really good job! I’m having my old 2005 swb kombi done but needs a new floor but can’t seem to find a new one like you fitted any idea where I can buy one?

    Glad I found your video.
    Been hunting the internet for hour to find a video showing how to mount the rear seat mounting brackets.
    What about seat belt mounts? were they easy to do?
    Buying a T5 Van on Monday to convert to a kombi. I'll be purchasing a lot of products from you i think, when you can finally ship to Spain again.
    Any Idea when that might be?
    Cheers Lee

      Hi, the seatbelts are fairly straightforward. You just need to order up the two threaded reinforcing plates for the top seatbelt hangars, which get riveted inside the mid pillars. I forgot to video this part unfortunately but there is info on how to do it on the VW T5/T6 forum. If you buy the complete seatbelts out of an existing Kombi you should get all the other required bits.

      Same, wondering about the seatbelts. The van I’m looking at is already carpeted so wonder if that needs ripped out for you to fit the seatbelts.

    Hi Kiravans team! Excellent video! I’m looking to line my van and turn it it to a day van/camper so would need to add electrics, can you advise if it’s I can line and carpet the van and then add the 12v electrics in after? Il be carpeting the rear panels separately so the can come off if needed, thanks!

      Also is there a reason you didn’t cover up the small holes in the metalwork by the tailgate?

    Hi. What’s the best way to get the measurements for the floor brackets please. Great video 👍🏼

    • @kiravans5874
      @kiravans5874  2 года назад +2

      Hi, Thank you for your feedback. In terms of measuring up where to mark up the holes ready for installing the brackets, once you have the seat brackets and seat the best way would be to use the holes on the brackets as a guide to mark where to drill the holes and then ensure you measure the required distance between where each bracket needs to be in accordance with with the seat base you will be fitting to these, using the indentations in the van floor also as a guide.
      I hope this helps.
      If you still have any further queries or want to show us your van so we can provide further guidance, please ensure to write to the team via email at help@kiravans.co.uk

    Great job! What wheels and tyres are these?

    • @kiravans5874
      @kiravans5874  3 года назад

      I don't know what they are Steve. I borrowed this van from a friend last summer to do some videos on. He bought the van with those wheels and tyres already on it.

    I'm planning on putting the 3 seater in mine instead of the 2+1. Do the brackets you measured out, are they just centred on the dimples? Thanks

    • @kiravans5874
      @kiravans5874  3 года назад +1

      Draw a centre line front to back through each dimple and then the holes are drilled on that line. They are equal distance front the centre point of the dimple. Measure the actual distance between the bolts on one of your brackets to get the distance apart for the holes. I can't remember off the top of my head what is is....?

    Great video as always, do you sell the kombi bracket kit or can you tell me the best place to source it all from? Thanks

    • @kiravans5874
      @kiravans5874  3 года назад

      We don't sell any of the seat parts, we bought the full kit second hand from a local van converter. Quite often van converters will have almost new sets for sale as they take them out of new vans to turn them into camper vans, including the rubber floor, seats and seat belts etc. I got mine locally from a firm selling on Ebay.

    Hi, I recently got a ford transit custom which already has ply lined walls but not the roof. Would you recommend that I put a plywood panel on the roof or could I just insulate and carpet it? Thanks

    • @kiravans5874
      @kiravans5874  3 года назад +1

      I would recommend carpeting a plywood panel for the roof. It will look a lot better than carpeting on top of insulation.

    How did you get the kombi seat belts fitted, especially to reinforcement brackets in the C pillars ?

    • @kiravans5874

      You'll need some extra brackets, search eBay for 'VW T5 T6 Genuine Kombi C-Pillar Seat Belt Plates and Bolts for Rear Seats'
