I have used this strategy myself, incorporating the smoothed heikin ashi candles (one of my favourite indicators), the pivot based trailing maxima&minima, and the STC. Feel free to comment down below any suggestions for this strategy, I am always happy to reply to you!

NOTE: The Pivot based Trailing indicator repaints. However, this indicator does tell us where the previous pivot highs and pivot lows are, and will help us identify new pivots and reversals in the future.

Only one problem with this strategy. The pivot based signal is based in a system that look forward and ahead... This way, it is only an indicator to indicate a higher high and a lower low for future analysis... it can NOT be used in real time, since to discover that a certain point is 'the higher point', it can only be determined after that point there is no higher high... If you analyse the formula, ta.pivothigh(source, leftbars, rightbars) → series float... it is defined only if you have 14 bars ahead... it means the point is signaled in the past... not in real time.

Really nice strategy and easy to understand :-) Thanks! Would be great if I could set an alert on the Pivot signals or on a change in color on smoothed Heikin Ashi candles.... That´s not possible, isn´t it? Maybe some other, similar indicator additionally where we can add alert?
Hi! I’m not too sure, there is an alert feature in trading view, and you can set certain parameters for an alert to trigger.

Also I noticed in the video the Pivot length is shown as 14 but in our default setting it is 24. Does that matter. Also if using the 15 minute TF does only the STC settings need to be changed?

Hi! For the 1 minute timeframe, the STC 'Length' input should be set to 8. I am going to put out a post on my channel now of the STC backtest results that have been updated.
SPY is just like the US100 I was testing, about 65%-75% win rate, but do your own research before you trade it!
How about 1 minute time frame in banknifty index ???

What is the settings for pivot for 1 min and HA? shouldnt HA be 1 and 1, doesnt seem to be wokring on the 5 min for NQ

Hi! Check the description for my information on the indicator. I actually haven't set alerts for this indicator yet, so I apologise but I can't help you with this.
The short example at the 3:50 mark was a loss. He set the ope for the trade, on the open of the first red HA candle instead of the close as he should have. He wouldn't have known that candle would close with a red HA candle until the close of the candle. If he showed the trade from the close of that candle, it would have been a loss.
He made a mistake there but even is he do it right its still a winner mate. Have a look again!

Would this strategy have better results with the twin range filter buy/sell indicator?
I love the range filter indicator. Is their a difference in the twin range? I don’t like this strategy in that you’re not instructed to follow the trend till it exhausts. Only taking a 1:1.5 risk to reward is limiting.
I looked at this technique on the 5-minute NQ for the last couple of months and found that the HA candles systematically showed much larger profits than were possible in real trading, often multiple tens of points per trade. Under the circumstances, I gotta ask, are the backtested results taken straight from the Heiken Ashi candles, or are they taken from the unaltered candles on which true profits and losses appear? If the HA, the profit graph has nothing to do with the real world.
Hi! I’m sorry if i didn’t make this clear, but the trades are taken on the candles; my results are corresponding to these candles, not the indicator. The heikin ashi candles are there to work as a sort of smooth moving average 😊

When I see charts and its Buy/Sell signals, it looks like we are seeing the best indicator we could be using, but the problem is that entering signal is not coming up in real time, so, when it comes up, it is too late.

Hi! For the 1 minute timeframe, the STC 'Length' input should be set to 8. For the 2 minute, the STC Length should be set to 9. And for the 3 minute, the STC 'Length' input should be set to either 9 or 10. The original settings for this strategy will not be needing any adjustments. Hope this helps!

Why not just use the Linear Regression Candles Indicator with length set to 10 on the 5min?
Hi! This is the strategy I personally used for futures, but thank you for your suggestion regarding the linear regression candles!
In your examples the LuxAlgo Pivot indicator wouldn't have printed yet when the Heiken Ashi turns green/red. I looked at it myself using the Replay tool.

Biggest flaw is the pivot indicator repaint, you'll miss the majority of entries because of this. I like the smoothed HA however and the system could be traded in other ways.
The pivot indicator has a significant delay, providing a signal only after 5 to 6 candles. This can result in late BUY signals or signals after the market has already reversed, which is not an ideal indication of market movements. You can only find this if you use the replay button on trading view to witness how it actually works... If anyone has other suggestions, please let me know.

Hi! S&R levels are key when trading larger timeframes. If you want the updated settings, for the 1 hour time frame, the STC "Length" input should be set to 19. And for our 4 hour time frame, the STC "Length" input should be set to 24.

look back candle patterns of eur/usd yesterday in london and us session, only using the 'smooth candle and stc', amazingly display 100% accurate buy / sell signal. this pairs indicators is good enough make big money. however, the 'pivot based' give 0%, all wrong signals. thanks! guru!

@@TGinvesting101 So why did you state in your video that this is a tried/tested strategy and one you are trading live through tradovate?
The pivot indicator has a 14 candle lag on it, this strategy cannot work as efficiently as explained, it only make sense when looking back at past candles that have already developed...on a live chart, you will always be chasing something that has already happened with a weakened entry point.

This trading strategy is Dangerous, the PIVOT point indicator doesn't alert until later in the trade. When back testing on demo account produces too many late entries and losses!!!
I don't get why you would turn off the wicks on the HA indicator. You are throwing away useful information.
Hi! With that, we are reducing the market noise, giving us clarity of market trend, without trader emotion.
@@TGinvesting101 Actually the wicks give more clarity. The absence of a wick on the back side of the candle(i.e no wick on bottom of bullish candle and vice versa) shows greater strength of direction.
The buy sell signals are painting extremely late giving poor trade location.
