I love Heikin Ashi candles because they eliminate the noise that conventional candles show. No wicks at the bottom of a bullish candle equals a strong trend to the upside. No wicks at the top of a bear candle equals a strong trend to the downside. Dojis equal a weakening of the trend or a consolidation period. Very clean.

As usual, this video is extremely helpful and accurate. I have added few tricks to it , for Forex scalping on ctrader platform I use a 2 pips or 5 pips range chart , put the Heikin Ashi and the Ichimoku cloud , for the RSI i put a 7 period and move the 30 and 70 lines to 20 and 80 an d still got the ADX line for volatility

what would you use to look for trend confirmations? also what time frames would you look at? im assuming higher is better. i also saw that you recommended 2 or 3 time frames for good trend confirmation.
The higher the timeframe, the more you wanna trade in the direction those are going. Weekly and Monthly, all timeframes

Thank you for the great content. I love analising charts but always felt that the screen overcrowds with indicators and distracts from the sentimental aspect of an assets movement in the market. I pasted a screencap to my Heiken-Ashi inspired layout but YT doesn't allow to add links. I made it by adapting RSI to 30,50,70 and Kumo clouds to read it cleanly like yours on a nice white background. Looks a lot like my architectural design layouts. Thank you for the inspiration.

Always loved the concept of Heikin Ashi and its simplicity. However any automated trading strategies I've tried with HA Candles failed until I realized that HA price is not actually the real price of the asset but a "smoothed" and lagging version. For instance, as candles turn from red to green in the HA, oftentimes in the "true" OHLC candle the price has moved A LOT, so that as a trader you're already "quite late". Whats your thought on this? Great videos!
True traders don't use Heikin Ashi. You'll train wrong and you'll miss massive opportunies.
if you're too late on the 1st candle it is not an up or down trend. I'd wait for the second candle or wick breaking above or below the trend line or support/resistance.
Exactly, it all looks great in hindsight but both the Heikin Ashi and Ichimouku cloud are very very very very very lagging indicators. For true price action, I think nothing beats the Range bars.

This is very informative and will apply it to my daily trading. I would like to understand how long should I wait for the green candle to cross pass the RSI 50 line before i buy to scalp because the green candle sometimes goes back down below RSI 50 line after a short ride? Any advice ?
I do swing trading and have similar issue. I usually wait rsi to be more than 60 before entering the trade. I loose some of it but my chances of success are higher. If somebody has better strategy I would like to know it, thanks

The simple way you put things are awesome
The RCI is more trend catching than the RSI. When RCI (9.10), RCI (13.14), and RCI (36.38) are displayed on the same screen (with different colors), the short-term RCI shows the entry timing and the medium-term RCI shows the direction of the trend. Strongest when combined with HEIKENASHI.

The example you showed to buy and sell at the same price ... buy on the way up then sell on the way down ... but the price point is the same so we don’t make money ?
When the trend is bullish n reaching/pass the rsi 50 u can scalp a long position. Likewise, if the trend is bearish and passing through rsi50...short position. Scalping..meaning 20-30pips at best.

Heikin-Ashi is fools gold for newb traders / Gamblers. learning and reacting to swings from open /close price on all time frames will indicate entry and close levels. it can take a while to learn this skill but that's where the price is. LOOK LEFT. Support & Resistance.

what do you mean exactly at 5:00. When you see 2 greens after a bearish trend, then on the third one, or as soon as you see the second one coming up green. in other words, in the second consecutive same color or third?

@@TheSecretMindset I've learned to use larger time frames: daily, 4H to trade S & P 500 Futures. I use HA to confirm logical entry points in Market Profiles for the S & P 500 Futures and correlated markets; Dow and NQ. Such as value area highs, lows and mid-points. Then I watch for large amounts of volume to come in to confirm a change. One time framing in the daily and 4H generally give the tone and day's direction.
