I backtested Tesla with this strategy on 15 min since Sept 2022. The only adjustment to the strategy is that I wait for the Heikin Ashi to show sign of an upcurve before entering. Then I trail stop a little below the Heiken Ashis. Tesla has lost over 27% since Sept but this strategy backtest gained over 58%. So I would say this is an amazing strategy. A million thank yous! I am going to start using this.

thank you for these videos. As noob, I always study the indicators. but my biggest gains came from analyzing price action, support and resistance levels. Indicators are lagging, support and resistance is leading information. because with indicators, you do educated guess work, but with trend analysis, you let the trend form and then let it reach to the next level. support and resistance levels help you remember that this is a psychological market place where humans do the exchange on certain prices.

Thanks for sharing this great strategy! With two confirmations and a volume indicator, you can truly be confident in your trades! I've tested it on about a dozen currency pairs on the 4H and Daily timeframe with great results, averaging about a 71% win rate! One question for you. If CVD and STC are not signaling long when the HA gives the signal, so you allow a few candles for the other indicators to catch up and then take the signal when all agree? Or is it only if everything agrees on the candle when HA color changes? A couple things I've noticed in testing that might be helpful to others: on the daily TF, I used 50ema on the CDV indicator and it kept me out of some bad trades. Also used 12 instead of ten for the HA settings. For my TP strategy, on pairs that usually trend hard I take half the position at 1:2 RR, and let the other half ride with a trailing TP. For pairs that tend to range or stairstep, I use the 1:2 for the whole position. This strat is the real deal!

Hi Jean! If you are looking to trade on the 30 minute and 1h timeframes, we will need to change the STC indicator inputs. For 30 minute, the length should be set to 15. For 1 hour, the length should be set to 19. The original requirements for the trade setup will remain the same. Good luck!

You could certainly increase your profits by changing your Take Profit to rely on something other than R:R. It seems to me you'd want to set your R:R then when you hit your target change to some trailing stop loss (I'd have to test to find a good %). And your Take Profit or exit should be a wait for a cross back under (long positions) or over (short positions) of the CDV. I'd imagine you could also use the STC to trigger your Take Profit. For longs you could trigger Take Profit when STC drops under 75% and for shorts when STC rises above 25%. I'd venture that the CDV method is more likely to produce better results.
Hi! That is a really good suggestion, I understand where you are coming from. If you would like to use that for your TP then I suppose you would manage to profit on larger scales on a winning trade. Feel free to share your valuable information!
Even a simple trend line is better than that lame profit target. Minimum 3-1 for me on every trade. Just follow trend.

Hi Carlos! I'm happy you enjoyed my video. For the 1 minute time frame, the STC 'Length' input should be set to 8. And for our 5 minute time frame, the STC 'Length' input should be left on 12. There will no further settings that need adjusting for this, as the other two indicators will auto-adjust themselves for the time frame you are trading on. Hope this helps!

Hello! Glad to hear I could help. For the 1 hour timeframe, the STC "Length" input should be set to 19. And for the 15 minute timeframe, the STC "Length" should be either 13-14. This will depend what product you are trading on. For stocks and indices, length 13. For Forex, Commodities, Crypto etc. trade the STC length with 14 input.

Hi! You are right, account size does matter. As a personal preference, the 1H is best suited to me for this strategy. But it can depend drastically on what capital you have available.

Hello! i'm just starting out and the Smoothed Heiken Ashi Candles are personally my favourite! but i've always encountered one problem w this indicator. I always use two Ha Smoothed candles for some purposes, one is a lower and one is a higher i always check at lower and i always see a red candle while the higher candle is still green, which is i choose not to buy but the higher candle eventually turns red, i wait for another red for a confirmation then i sell, after i see price bounce back? why's that? can u help me plz
Hi! Sometimes the price will bounce back, that is normal. But what we can do instead is what for the smoothed heikin ashi candles to print several red/green candles and then we can confirm that the trend direction is down/up.

Hi! Good question. If you spot the trend during or at the start of a trend, both are valid entries. If all the requirements are met, then there is no problem with entering halfway through a trend movement.
Do you keep adjusting the stop loss close to the heikin ashi candle, or keep it on the first candle?
For this strategy, we keep our stop loss set in the first candle.

Thanks for your kind words trader! This strategy is definitely compatible with crypto, lowering your leverage is a good play. I do recommend stable coins only however- low volatility coins can cause issues with the indicators in real time.

Hi! Trading requires a consistent state of mind- when you first decide to start trading, you will learn certain fundamentals of the subject; the basics. But as traders develop, they lack certain qualities and this leads to major losses. 95% of investors will lose more money than they make. This is because they could potentially be lacking some things. These include patience, determination, indefatigability, astuteness, consistency, vigor, risk management, fear, greed etc.
They could also suffer from FOMO, which is very common in traders, especially beginners. They wish they could take every trade that arises, but this is logically impossible.
A professional trader would have the correct mindset, be logical, make logical risks, manage their risks, decide over judgement and not emotion and so on.
Trading is not an easy business! It requires years of fine tuning and experience in the real environment. It is inevitable that all traders will lose money, but what separates the winners from the losers, is how you deal with those losses. Do you get the heart-in-mouth feeling? Or do you use your failure as education?
Trading is like going to the gym. You're not going to see results of your effort in the first day, or week, or month. The art takes years to master, and like any profession that takes years to master, like a neurosurgeon, or lawyer, or CEO, they usually end up in you earning a lot of money.

Higher timeframes normally provide more accurate results and a consistent equity curve when traded correctly, so a high timeframe is a good idea!

The problem with this strategy is that the smooth Heiken ashi delayed too much... Most often it's already too late to enter.
Hi! If the heikin ashi is delayed for you, you can always change the sensitivity! Let me know your timeframe.

Hi! For 5 minute, we keep everything on default. The smoothed Heikin ashi candles were designed to adjust to the timeframe, as well as cumulative delta. The STC indicator needs adjusting on timeframes other than the 5 minute, but since you are on 5 minute, no changes will be needed!

What is the setting for 1 day and 1 week?
The daily timeframe isn't the most suitable for this strategy, but if we were to trade with this, we would need the STC length setting to be 26. And for the weekly timeframe, I recommend switching your STC length to 27-28. Be careful, this strategy isn’t most suitable for these long term timeframes.

1) I've never used trading view (TV). Is it only a browser-based platform, or an app to download?
2) Can TV be used on iPhones or only computers?
3) Would it be connected/signed in to your trading account directly?
4) If you want to use TV, would have to have a broker that accommodates/allows that specific platform?
5) Lastly, Is there any chance that these specific Indicators you used here are available in the/for the MT4 platform, or only strictly on TV?

1) it is a browser based platform, but there is also an app available (I recommend the browser version)
2)it can be used both on desktop and mobile, but I recommend desktop
3) there is a number of trading platforms that can be used with trading view, but you might need to check if your trading platform is compatible
4) TV can be used by anyone. You do not need a specific trading platform
5) there are many indicators on trading view that can be used on meta trader, but not all. Base technical analysis indicators are available for certain, but some scripts are exclusive to trading view only.

Did u mean there’s a number of brokers that can be used with TV? I think my question was about brokers and if you can use any broker with trading view!? So I’m confused. @Trading Guru how about the specific indicators you used here, do you think they’re available on MT4, or u don’t know b/c u don’t use mt4?
Trading view is a market screener. But you can link trading platforms to it.
