In this video, I show you how trading Heikin-Ashi Candles can help traders achieve better results while at the same time feeling more comfortable in the position. In Japanese, Heikin means “average,” and Ashi means “pace.” Essentially the Heikin-Ashi candle is an average of the current and past price action period creating a smoothing effect on the chart.

As a result of the calculation price gaps and the typical volatility noise seen in standard candlestick charts is eliminated. However, the Heikin-Ashi chart clearly denotes the presence of strong uptrends and downtrends, making it easier to reach your profit goals.

I don’t want to give you the impression that trading Heikin-Ashi charts will solve all your trading problems. Consistently making money with any trading system requires a solid trading plan with a set of rules and the discipline to follow them.
In my opinion, trading should never be thought of as a get rich quick scheme. It is a business! And like any other business requires dedication with a detailed process and attention to the details.

As I mention in the video, there are pros and cons to Heikin-Aski charts, and the trader needs a clear understanding of them before risking your hard-earned money. There are some that use HA charts as an indicator or trend yet continue to use standard candlestick charts for their entry and exits. Of course, there are also traders that use only HA charts for their trading and credit them as a key to their success.
One of the major cons is that the HA candle does not display the actual open price or closing price of the period charted due to the calculated average. On the other hand, one of the major pros is that all the chart and candle patterns we know and love are easier to identify and exploit for profits because of the smoothing effect of the price average.

Whether you are a long term positional trader or a day trader, Heikin Ashi strategies are effective. It wasn't until I switched to HA chart that I started turning my trading around and became profitable for the first time. That was 3 years ago. Still staying in the green!

My first trade using this was 80% with 100x leverage. This was after extensive back testing. This is so excellent it gets rid of false signals and that’s what all other indicators lack. While I do like RSI divergence on 30min or 4H it won’t work on 1 minute. This strategy not only works on 1 minute but all TF up to 4H
Does it work on daily TF too?
By the way, do you still use this strategy?

Thanks for the excellent video!!! I've been exploring Heikin-Ashi candles for a short while, this video answered many of my questions. I really like the 2/6/17 EMA strategy. I am guilty of watching the candles to much, and end up scalping a trade and then watching it progress higher and higher in long positions and converesely in short positions. thanks again.

I can't wait to paper trade this! I think you might have just turned my life around! I have $26,600 in my account! My thing was i was getting out of trades too early cause i was on a one minute chart! Not anymore! I'm goin to stay in my trade and i got 80% on up in each trade! My goal is $250 a day. With this i might beable to do $1000 a day now. Thank you so much!

Trading the 5 minute chart is less noise & more relaxing. I use the 2 min & 1 min to check what may set up on the 5 min. occasionally for Options Day Trading. The price is the same on all charts after all for one's entry & exit fills.
Nice video! I actually use this strategy and it is profitable. Just be disciplined and learn when to enter/exit a trade or stay away if rules are not met.

Thanks for sharing this strategy! I understand how to draw the entry line for when there is consolidation, but I am not sure where the entry line is drawn for where the pull back happens. Also you talk about knowing the dollar amount that you are risking. How do you calculate that amount where the stop loss line is drawn?
I agree, great video, strategy works so far. One question, why not use trailing stops vs. stops once the profit target has been achived?
After watching this I will consistently be taking even more profits with my HA strategies

I added the SMA 1 period based on the close to the chart and that gives me both worlds. I can now see the actual close on each HA candle.
what timeframe did you use?
@@taivaraanta The Time Frame does not matter. The SMA 1 just plots the closing price on the chart as a line.

This is great stuff and I use HA bars primarily. I’m looking back at Roku, the example you gave it about the 36 minute mark. I cannot replicate that in trading view. I have it set for one hour. In my case, the 6 MA And the positive close at the 16:00 hour, on September 19, is above 17 ma. I had to change the MA to 25 for that not to be the case.

Very very easy method . Patience is the key.
Curious about the MA adjustment from 3/8 to 2/6 to accommodate the math difference of the HA candles. I use the TOS platform and I have investigated technical analysis differences between HA candles and Japanese Candlesticks and there are no differences. To that end, it appears to me that the 3/8 would work on TOS charts. Does RWO have any information on that? Thanks!

I'm new to trading so I could be missing something or not understanding. My options are open, high, low, close, hl2, hlc3, and ohlc4. Any help would be great. Again thank you.
