Easy pattern to follow. I made one using two strands of acrylic yarn as well. I did not complete as many rounds. I added a lining and a leather cross body strap I purchased on Amazon.
@@kimbrown9412hi there , I don’t think you got an answer but I found lots of tutorials on how to line the inside of a bag. For me it took a bit of practice with fabric or better yet now I found complete inserts with zippers in craft stores and if you measure out your bag beforehand it makes it even easier!

I made 2! Love the pattern. However it's much smaller than the picture depicts. 8-1/2" is not that large.

Yes, you can definitely use a cotton yarn for this project.
i have 3.5 yarn.... is it ok anyway?
Yes, you can use a different yarn. But you might have to add additional rounds when making the square.
