Thanks for the share. Could definitely use k segmentation in the US. Mazda’s, Jeep’s and some newer Honda’s still punch through even with the two k blocks we have turned on. Uniden, let user community determine and share which segments to turn off please!

This is insane how well this does blocking K band through Wellington I use to drive everyday through there and had most K blocked through mute memory

Thanks for the comments. Obviously you still have the mute memory option on the updated international firmware also. However, you shouldn't need to use many in general. The new gps features are also really nice to have. Also nice to see we still have really good mobile redflex van detection on the new version.

    i love
    a. yuor own custom message when you turned on the radar
    b. international firmware seems to still work as well (if not better) than the NZ version, so why do people always say never use international. ill be surprised if NZ get a official firmware update i really want the GPS lockout especially here in Auckland
and c. i thought Auckland were bad drivers being in wrong motorway lanes and last second change lanes to catch there exit :P
so looks like i should find the international firmware for my R7

Who told you never to use 'International'. Uniden NZ may say that as its a direct competitor to the R7 NZ version which is the only one they're officially allowed to recommend for use in NZ. Send me a message at the above email address. However, there is currently no support for an R7 NZ -> R7 International conversion. Again Uniden NZ are not going to help you change onto a better platform that is beyond their control.

whats the difference between you 137 vs Vortex radar (uniden official) 135? seems i can find 135 only realized 2 weeks ago

135 Is the latest US firmware. As you'll see on my 135 comparison video, the sensitivity on K band is better on 137. You also don't have segmentation on 135. Whereas 135 has auto lockouts which the international version doesn't have but as demonstrated here for at least in NZ doesn't need. Therefore the 137 and 135 are different version which are actually complementary to provide great features to allow users to select the best firmware that suits their needs wherever they live. For some states in the US, the international version also offers advantages. Ultimately its about providing more variety and choice. There is no one size that fits all for everyone.
