Just a useful tip, If you run your salt water system longer you will never have to worry about adding any chemicals. We have the 24' x 52" Intex pool and run our sand filter pump 12 hours and salt water system 10 hours and never add any chemicals or balance the PH level.
I had no idea that salt water pools used chemicals too! We’re thinking about building a little plunge pool of sorts and are considering a salt system. And WOW! Your pool is super clean! Good to see the pump doesn’t have an ant 🐜 colony living in it anymore! Miss y’all! Lots of love from the Ozarks! B+E
Nice! You should! It’s so nice during the summer to jump in after a long day of working hard on the homestead! The biggest difference for us is the DAILY maintenance, salt is so much easier to maintain. Miss you guys!!
It doesn’t have to do with our system not producing enough - just as a way to not have to run our pump longer than we currently do. (8 hours a day) So we use the Chlorine Tablets during heavy use because we have lots of little kids who are in and out and it just helps to ensure we don’t lose our nice clear water. Also during the time of year where our trees are dropping an excessive amount of leaves & pollen into the pool it helps keep up with that demand.
I’m in Florida and have the same system but never use chlorine my pump makes it . I noticed that you have to check the electrodes make sure they aren’t built up. I take a sample to the pool store to check it and really never had a problem
I converted to and it was a great choice. I also coverted to a different skimmer. I was scared to cut the liner but it was a world of a difference with flow and vacuuming.
This is our 3rd season using salt. It seems the sun does more damage to the plastic parts than the salt does to anything. I have some areas the salt seems to build up (on the brush, tools, etc…) but doesn’t do damage.

putting chlorine directly into skimmer basket will damage the sand filter and you don't even need to add it, with a saltwater pool you use a chlorine generator so you do not have to add any chlorine ever except when you occasionally may need to do but the chlorine generator can do that as well with the boost function, do some googling my dude, you are ice skating uphill unnecessarily, you have a chlorine generator, use it and stop with all of the extra
Where did you get the adapter to put where the vacuum hose connects to pool? Having trouble finding it that size
Love watching your videos. They r very informative! U make is easy to follow.
Thank u

That’s great!
Yeah seems like this defeats the purpose of a salt water pool adding all those harsh cancer chemicals to your salt water

You should not need chlorine tablets if you have a salt system. Unless your system is just not producing enough chlorine.

@@csorbera23 ok that makes sense. I run my variable speed pump 20 hours a day which would make a big difference.

That’s great info! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!
Can you explain how y you Connect the filter?
Where did you get the adapter for your vacuum?
Walmart!
@@csorbera23 yup, my walmart sucks. Lol
Lol there’s always Walmart.com free shipping to a store near you. Haha

That’s great! What skimmer did you convert to?
What size pool is this
THAAAAAANK YOUUUU!!! BEST EXPLANATORY VIDEO!!!
I’m so glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
Any rust issues?

If you're chlorine is low you need make sure you have enough salt and run your chlorinator long enough to make the right amount of chlorine.
Also balancing the PH before focusing on the chlorine levels is important. ☺️
Are you using chlorine tablets because your salt system is not producing enough chlorine?

Why are you putting chlorine tablets into a salt water pool?
Why use chlorine tablets when you have a salt water pool?
Same question here, I am lost
We now use Arm & Hammer PH Balance Tablets. They work great.
You should check your salt level every two weeks or so. Backwashing will reduce the salt level.
☕️👍
Yes! Get a cup on this Friday morning! ☕️☀️
Why are adding chemicals to a salt water pool if you have a salt water pool if you have to add chemicals there something wrong with your salt machine
dont use chlorine tablets in a salt water pool. also you have algea starting on the bottom.
🤔

The tablets are arm&hammer ph stabilizer (not chlorine tablets)
