I think that one of the reasons this channel is so successful, and so beloved, is the genuine love and unending excitement over plants. Seeing someone who does this day in, and day out, and is still so in love with every new pretty plant is such a wildly joyful thing. You've cultivated not only a beautiful garden, but also a lovely community full of people whose dream is to listen to the rain, drink a cup of coffee, and gush over new plants and the promise of even more beautiful spaces, and days, and memories they bring.
I couldn’t have said it better!
This!! This comment speaks volumes! Love this channel, this community so much!
Well said.
What we need is a lot of money to buy all these beautiful plants.
Laura is a rich lady.
@@youlamatou I would say rich in a hard working woman. Right along with her husband Aaron. Hard working couple. EXTREMELY!! They deserve their blessings and they are very humble people. Sooo a response to your comment. Yes they are very rich in spirit, and eager to learn and experiment. Yes, to many nights working and juggling their beautiful children, yes to the richness of their enjoying the fruits of their labor and give to many, many people. Yes to bringing beautiful smiles to people faces. Yes to those riches. Have a good day youlamatou. Many blessings..
Laura's best day ever is really me living vicariously my best day too. Who wouldn't want 7 pallets of plants!?
Especially for free. Must be nice to get comps
I don’t know if I could handle 7 pallets of plants! Lol! I would try my best to care for them but definitely not on camera! 😂
I can’t fathom being “given” that many plants! 😮 There is no way the average gardener could buy all that. I don’t dare even dream it. Just beautiful.
😢
She works hard for them. Making videos, knowing what to say, planning, preparing.
Cup of coffee, sound of rain, and pallets of beautiful plants…what could be better than that! ❤️🪴🌸
Laura deserves a new stainless steel coffee cup to keep it warm .
Wouldn't you just love to be with Laura this morning and unloading beautiful plants.💕
My local Ace hardware carries proven winners, Felco, Green stalk garden. It feels like I’m watching Garden Answer every time I go there.
Absolutely!!
Yup😊
@@wanderertimetogo348I should check the ones near me!
yes, but i do get to mulch today so I will be channeling my inner Laura!
Anybody else eyeing all that "pallet wood" I can see future projects. I love these videos. I enjoy getting to see all the new varieties and your descriptions of them. It helps me when I go to our local nursery or order on line. You are a jewel!
I showed my mom Laura's pallet walkway and she wants to do it for the backyard
I had the same idea. LOL Beautiful wood for crafts.
A friend of mine used pallet wood to make a backsplash for his workspace in his garage. It is really nice!
Yess!
Yes indeed addicted to pallets, so useful❤❤❤❤
If this doesn’t get us excited for gardening season I don’t know what does!!!
Laura, u crack me up with your heavy jacket on and sandals. What a joy watching you unload plants. Your enthusiasm is contagious and gets me excited to see what my garden store is getting in today!!!
I was thinking the same thing...someone said "spring" and Laura said "sandals". lol
@@MelSchmidt7 Laura wears sandals year round. 😉
Only Laura would describe an overcast drizzly morning as beautiful. Classic Laura. Bless you!
On this, I feel her. I spent 28 years in Colorado, and the high desert climate really bakes you into a crispy piece of toast. When I moved to the Midwest, people thought I was crazy when I would go on and on about how wonderful rainy, cloudy, drizzly days were. 😂 You can feel yourself rehydrate down to your soul.
It’s the sound of the rain hitting the plastic❤. It is wonderful!
Not just Laura. Me too. I guess it’s built in to those of us who grew up in the high desert. I love thunder and lightning, too!
Laura could say today's video will be watching paint dry and i would think nope not watching that. The next thing i know i have watched the whole video and enjoyed it from start to finish! Your personality, joy of life, love of what you do and just your whole attitude is such a breath of fresh air. Can't thank you and Aaron enough for all you give to us.
Same....I know they are real people with real life problems, but showcasing the love of nature with the cheer and lighthearted attitude is the most addictive part of GA.....add in a sprinkle of the sweetest babies and fur babies and my whole day is made!!!!❤❤❤
Only someone who lives in the high desert gets that happy about a drizzling, rainy day 😂
Your outlook on the simple things in life makes us all better people, thank you!
Isn't it amazing how everything is good to somebody and bad to another!? The number of times people express envy of our perpetual summer....it's the weather man saying cover your plants we're in the 30s the next 3 nights that gives me a thrill!!!! 😂
Laura you are sure living a gardeners dream. No one is more deserving. We are blessed you take us alone.
I started getting plant envy then I thought of all the work ! Glad I can enjoy yours 😄!
Thank you for the reminder!! I fall for it year after year!
@@sEaSoNaLMiLk well it helps that I’m 60 not 30 😄
She was just born to work with plants. You can see the joy it brings her❤
I love the bad hair day plants. I was cracking up when you were showing it. I love them all. WOW that is a huge shipment. Goodness. I can't wait to see where you plug em in. I just love watching your videos. You make my day. Oh I hope you don't get those stupid winds. We have had 45 mph gusts today. I'm over the wind. Lordy. See you in the next one!!!!💜💜🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🪴🪴🪴🪴
I'm showing my age But I saw Moe from the three stooges 😁
Such a cute plant and name. I giggled at the thought of a hair planter. How cute to get kids into gardening 🥰.
OMG!! Instant gratification...from an empty high tunnel to something that looks like a commercial grower. The plants look fabulous.
If I could experience her best day, my gardens would be complete! I adore this girl; she deserves nothing but the best. Enjoy all your adventures!
I see you twirling around in the tunnel as you unbox the new plants. 😊
I love when Laura is naming the plants as she is peeking through the plastic. It reminds me of a children’s television show Romper Room when she is looking through her mirror(?) saying, “I see Johnny and Timmy etc… Takes me back to good times.😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
❤Lovely memory
and comment❤
OMG - Romper Room!! I watched that as a kid!
do you know the romper room gal has a you tube channel? she is in her 80's now.
When she said YOUR name, it was so exciting!!!
I had that exact thought! But Mary Ann never said my name.☹️
😁- you reminded me of a kid on Christmas morning! I too was grinning ear to ear! Thanks for including us in your joy. Promise of projects to come 👏👏👏👏
Was thinking the same, to us gardeners that would be the the very best Christmas ever !!!
My favorite kind of video. And even though no one wants a plant to get a disease of any kind, I do like that you show pictures of a plant (coneflowers) with a certain disease and talk about it. Wouldn't mind watching a video where you talk more about certain diseases, what they look like, and what plants they seem to affect. Thank you
Very helpful!
Morning Everyone 🥰🥰
Good morning 😊
Good morning!
Good morning
morning from Iowa. Drinking coffee enjoying LAURA in her Happy place.
Garden Answers is addictive if you enjoy anything plants! ❤❤❤Wow! What an amazing shipment of beautiful plants.
If you aren't in a zone where the Mangave are hearty in, just sink a planter into the ground. Then you can slide the planter that you have your Mangave plant in right down into it. Then when the weather starts to change, just pop it out and ok UT it somewhere protected until next season. Just have to keep an eye on whether it starts to outgrow it's current container and you have to upsize it. Lol Can do this with lots of different plants to make them a part of your bed design & layout.
Some of the mangaves pup prolifically! Be ready for that type of growth as well.
It is as if Laura is recreating her childhood, her dreams and wishes all at once. Her mom is always smiling, her dad, proud. Aaron's family too. A beautiful way to honor your heritage.
Oh Laura you are a lucky girl. All those PW cans with those beautiful plants I would lose my mind. Jumping up and down for you. Whoohooo
Watching the “bliss” on your face talking about being in the tunnel, drinking coffee, unpacking perennials and listening to the rain, makes me smile! I too know that “bliss”!! 💛
Loved the video!
It was a little funny when Aaron’s new bobcat came in to pickup a pallet and Laura picks up the other one and moves it…Wonder Woman 👍🏼
I was thinking the same thing. 🌞🌞🌞
I love how Laura makes us feel like we are right there with her unloading these plants. Thank you for taking your time in telling us about each plant. I can’t express how much appreciation I have towards this channel and this community. I’ve followed GA since the very beginning back at their home in town. I have learned SO dang much thru the years! This is my favorite place to be in the mornings, sipping my coffee right along with Laura. 💚🪴
It's like Christmas all over again for a Gardener. Beautiful plants, Laura. Proven Winners are always the best plants!
Your joy is infectious. Oh gosh, you need another greenhouse.
There's nothing like hearing the sound of rain while unpacking beautiful perrinials.
I am so jealous! That is so fun. I am running out of space and $ so it is great to watch you build such a fantastic garden. I am able to get my plant fix by watching you plant the latest and greatest. Thank you so much!
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
Woo-hoo plant delivery I love it 😊
What a beautiful delivery. I would love opening packages like that. What a way to make a living.
Bless you.❤❤❤❤
How fun was THAT! There is nothing more fun than watching you unload a truck load of goodies to plant. Excited yo see where they go.
Anyone else expect Laura to knock over her coffee when she pulled out that first huge plant? 😂🤣😂 Well done!! Thank you for such a positive cheerful video!! Love how you get so excited over a shipment. Makes me miss the days when I managed flower shops and we’d get in huge orders of flowers for Mother’s Day. I’m having a bit of plant envy seeing such gorgeous plants!
I was sad about the fake boxwoods on the porch for a minute, but then she said she'd pin back the mangave's bangs in the head planter. I can't stay mad at you Laura! I laughed out loud. That's brilliant!
A little bow would be so cute, lol.
How many of us want to go "shopping" in Laura's hoop house???? Such beautiful plants and what a selection!
Coffee and Plants!! You are correct Mam; what more could a girl ask for!!
Can ‘t wait to see what you do with the Mangaves.
That was so cool to watch… that first plant was enough but then it just kept GOING!!! 🎉🎉
Felt like Christmas morning watching the opening of all these amazing plants. Me feeling overwhelmed thinking of planting them all😂!
who else made a shopping list watching this? 3 of those, 5 of those, etc.. i love these type of videos before gardening season kicks off, helps give me news ideas and plants to try.
Laura in her element! What a great way to start the day! Beautiful plants that will be perfect in your gardens.
Typically, the huge-leafed Bergenias aren't as hardy as the smaller-leafed ones. In Zone 6-7 here in Italy, a variety of impressively large Bergenia I got in England dwindled for some 4 years before officially giving up the ghost. It was superbly jungly. You might want to try a plant in the Hartley.
Hi! I am Arpita from India, I love your channel and I watch it everyday. I am a big fan of the content you create everyday because of l my love for plants ❤
2:34 my heart dropped when I saw it, that is gorgeous, dropdead, gorgeous! I am amazed
So exciting when a massive load of plants are delivered to Laura . Really enjoyed the first of many deliveries to come . Nothing better than this !
You are living the dream! What a wonderful way to start the day.
I was in heaven just watching you unpack all of these. From the cup of coffee to the failing rain, I felt like I was there with you and enjoying every minute of it. Thank you for that!
Absolutely Heather. We were there all together...☘️☘️☘️☘️💜💜💜🪴🪴🪴
What a fun video! I’m looking forward to watching where you plant them! Lotta work ahead!❤❤❤
What an exciting way to spend the day! 💛
I agree with some others about the pallet wood showing up in the future. Great video as usual. I planted a few Blackbeard penstemon a few years ago and found it to be the most invasive plant ever. My neighbors have even “thanked me” for the free plants. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Wonderful, slow pace video with Coffee, checking out the new plants and listening to the rain overhead. My grandparents old farmhouse had a corrugated tin roof. Nothing was better than listening to the rain on the tin roof as you fell asleep under one of grandmas, homemade patchwork quilts. Thanks for sparking the memory.
I wish I was your sister I’d be right there helping you unload the racks. This was such a treat to see all the new plants. I’ll need to go back a review a few of them to put on my wish list. Thanks Laura
I just love my mornings with you! I have learned so much about plants from you, and I just love watching your videos , especially when you love what you do & you’re just smiling in pure bliss getting to unwrap all your plants! 🪴🪴💖. Ty Ty 🌷 for all the inspiration.
Wow, I just found your channel and went back 3 years worth of content, I just wanted to say you’re doing a great job and wow what a beautiful property 😅
Cotton candy plant, that is absolutely beautiful
Love how much Laura loves the rain! I live in England and rain is all we’ve had for the past 5 months! (Feels like it anyway!) 🌧️ x
Love you Laura! Your passion for plants is contagious! ♥️👩🌾♥️
Good morning from Kentucky! My goodness you got in more than some garden shops! You are so lucky!🌸🌿🪴🌻🪷
Oh, my goodness!! This looks better than Christmas! Thank you for taking us along on your unboxing! Beautiful plants!
Your showcase makes me proud to be from Michigan!!! Thanks Laura!
Always fun seeing different varieties of plants no matter the weather. We had a tornado here in Indiana this week but still are in one piece. Our flag with pole was brought down and the wood in the shed got cracked along with some branches on the pine tree lost. Thankfully, Jeremey w/.
Junk Pro will be here Tuesday morning! Hope you don't get any nasty weather! Always enjoy your videos!
Ah! I’m born and raised in Zeeland Michigan! Such a tiny town! I never expected you to say that ❤
So excited when you get these shipments Laura!!! Such fun to learn about all the flowers!!!!
those night owl mangave look so unique!! can’t wait to see how you use them
How awesome! Love all the beautiful plants💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Fabulous bunch of plants! That bergenia!😮
Erin from Impatient Gardener just posted a list of plants she won't plant again, and campanula made her list. Interesting to hear Laura's enthusiastic perspective.🌱
I saw that video too just before watching this one. Although Erin's growing in a much more humid and moist area where plants can become beasts.
Wow, so jealous! Instead of giving away hose-links ! How about two skids of plants! 😅
I can't imagine getting a truck load of all the beautiful flowers. Can't wait to see what you do with all of them. Love watching your videos
Gosh. You are SO fortunate and blessed to be able to receive/afford all of these beautiful plants! What a fabulous collection of beauties!
Don’t get me wrong … it is all absolutely deserved … but I ain’t gonna lie - I’m envious! 😄
Love the new varieties of Shadowland hostas. They are so imteresting!
Hostas definitely love water. I think Brian grows one right in the pond, where the wetland filter is and its roots just grabs onto the rocks and gravel. I'm really excited to see more of the Aphrodite and Spice Baby in the garden. They look gorgeous.
By far the best video you guys have done in a really long time! Nothing but education. Love this!!!
It feels like Christmas!
My backyard is being excavated and I can’t plant anything or buy anything yet. I’m totally living vicariously through you!
Taylor did such a beautiful job editing this one 💗
I used to go walk around the Walters Gardens test gardens for inspiration when I lived over there.....I miss that!
Love love love triple love this vid❤ my word the plants the diversity 🥰 and the sound of rain 😍😍😍
Wow! You just filled up that high tunnel! Such a beautiful haul! And glorious rain! I love it! 💚💚💚
Love you, Laura! Thank you for sharing! Couldn't go a day without watching and dreaming along with you.. OMG 7 pallets. So excited to see you go through these and later to see what beautiful ideas you might have for them.
Laura, You and all of your Garden Answer family work so hard for such rewards. Viewers need to stop with the jealous insinuating comments. I cannot fathom what it takes to raise a family and undertake a nonstop expanding business such as Garden Answer. Self-employed business owners work tirelessly to achieve success. You deserve every reward that comes your way. We all cannot wait to see where these beautiful PW plants will end up. It will be spectacular.
Well said miss Catherine. Absolutely...💜💜💜🪴🪴🪴🪴🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿
Wow those are all so beautiful!!!!❤
Georgia weather was doing great, then here came the wind and night Temps dropped to 34 this morning. Still too soon to set out my seeds in the ground. Maybe after this it's over. 😊
I'm right there with you. Was in the 70's in Dallas, GA and then dropped down into the 30's. The eastern side of GA got 2 tornadoes. Geeesh, talk about bi-polar weather! Get and stay warm already!!! Happy Gardening when it warms up....again!
@@cynthiarafferty7662hello, I grew up in Hiram/Dallas. Live in Cartersville now. We're neighbors 😊
@@jenatucker492 I was just in Cartersville last week and went to Ollie's and then had lunch at Chicken Salad Chick. I love the downtown shops in Cartersville too. I couldn't visit them last week because a train was on the railroad tracks and the warning sign was on stating that. Bummer but a good excuse to come for another visit to shop.
Oh no! I'm so sorry! Maybe next time we can meet up for lunch. Let me know what day I might be downtown at Linda Evans Home and Garden you can come visit the plant shop 🪴😊@@cynthiarafferty7662
Laura!! How wonderful. This GA girl (girl used lightly - I’m also a grandmother - lol) could never acclimate to your winter’s but if I could I would want to work in your garden doing….anything. Watering, pulling weeds, unboxing plants, ALL the things!!
I received some bare root roses today! 😍😍
I live in a very humid climate and I still supplement water to my big hostas throughout the summer. I am sure at some point, I could give them too much water, but I've yet to find too much.
What a TREAT! You made my day!
Proven Wonders is a great company. I look forward to them utilizing environmentally friendly containers and wrappings. Most nurseries don't re-use the pots they sell (many of us customers try to!), and that results in millions or billions of pots in landfills.
Proven Winners did have a pot, that was supposed to disintegrate and fertilize the plant and soil. Last year, I got some plants in those pots...you just plant the pot into the ground. They don't disintegrate quickly, so I guess it takes time. They are like the plastic pots but are eco-friendly.
@@OR10777BE I don't know? It would be good. They are still good and can be reused.
I really enjoy when you go through all the plants you get. I have learned a lot as to what plants would do well in my zone and what I should expect as far as size, bloom and hardiness. Thanks
Love to see the next year and the recommendations from the past. Thanks. PS The mangaves made me think Arizona
Lucky girl!! So many beautiful plants and room to plant them!
Were these all plants that you ordered OR did they put a few in for you to experiment with??? If you already told us that, I missed that comment!! Really fun video for viewing these beautiful plants and your excitement if palpable. Thanks
A beautiful way to spend the morning with coffee! Beautiful plants
Oh boy, what a selection
Those Mangaves....some plant envy there. Beautiful!!!
What is that Beautiful melody at 5:28 ? How exciting to get a bunch of wonderful plants. So cool. ❤ Also, who else's kids would take the plant crates and try to make a fort out of them? Just mine?! Lol 😂💙
That is a fun job. Love all the new plants. You are so lucky to have all those healthy plants. Have a blessed day.
Now that you have everything unpacked do you call your family to come over to “ooo and aah” at the plants? I can picture you along with your mother and sister all drooling with excitement!
