“Michael Langdon doesn’t have shit on Alma.” I’m DEAD 😵
She ain’t lie!!!!!! How is Alma more evil than the Anti-Christ?!?!?
It BROKE MY HEART when poor Doris transformed into one of the pale creatures. She was such a loving wife and mother who just wanted the best for her family. The episode made me cry so much, which I rarely do. I’m so devastated. Such a tragic and emotional episode! 😭
She was psycho
I hope ( but I doubt it) but I hope she gets revenge
I know one of the saddest character arcs in all AHS . as sad as peppers backstory
@@TheBigdan217 Umm she was actually one of the sanest characters. Lol
@@russellrenneberg6578 Hopefully the Lyme disease will reverse it!
I was actually thinking the same thing...That the pill has nothing to do with talent and actually just affects people who have sociopathic or psychopathic tendencies and if you have none of those tendencies, like you said, Morals...Then it does the reverse...By the way this was an excellent breakdown...very very class A...Very intelligent...loves it...keep it up.
Thank you so much!!!
Karen has morals n she didn’t turn evil
@@jaebennett2826 Some morals...she helped kill babies ...and I said tendencies...Tons of ppl have sociopathic tendencies l...you don't have to be full sociopath to have the tendencies, or traits of a sociopath...
@@GrayArea Ur welcome 😊
Mickey?
I think you are right! And I remember thinking the first pale one had a great singing voice so why would he turn? Because he has a conscience. Makes sense.
I thought so to. I thought he was very talented. Or at least more than Belle&Austin… just please can Billie do hit&run with Alma in the end?😂 Michael was like that only because of the Murder House and even though he tried to kill Constance, he stopped and felt sorry for doing that. Alma is pure evi
Yes and I also believe the pales are actually the talented ones and the pill takers if not for the pill suck. It's just their egomania that drives the potency of the pill
@@MSeliskaZ it wasn’t so much the house, more so he was the anti-christ. But he grew into that role, and actually had some form of humanity. Alma was a brat that needs a good cane to the backside as sister Jude would put it. At least Harry was trying to help his family
I do see some semblances of hamlet with ursula being the usurper . The definition of usurper is "a person who takes a position of power or importance illegally or by force." Which is what the entire role and core of who Ursula is. She swooped in , made decisions for the gardeners and even convinced doris , by proxy, to take the pill when she sent in alma do her dirty work. She's basically running and playing everyone, especially harry
👏👏👏
And... that's exactly who Ursula the Sea Witch was in The Little Mermaid. She Usurped Ariel and ultimately wanted to usurp King Tryon. Ursula usurped Doris. And Karen, really. And now she wants to Usurp Belle and Austin and use the Chemist for her own gain. And Gray, you'll love this shit: Think of King Tryon as Merlin and Ursula as Morgan Le Fey. Or as Brendyn Rivers and Shierra Seastar. Think of Dany as Ursula and Jon as King Tryon. Boom. Boom. Boom. You know what I bet? I bet the Alien guy that we keep seeing? He's going to be Ursula's brother, or uncle or something. And the Chemist is going to either be working for him, or she was. That's how these 2 story lines will tie in together.
Ursulla, Alma, and Harry will get their comeuppance. We'll just see.
I’m convinced Alma planned on giving the pill to Doris, and Ursula just jumped on it cause she’s opportunistic. She might have some idea of how the pill works. Plus Alma was the first one to bring up how they don’t need her. I swear, Harry needed to slap her the minute he found out she took the pill. Or when she came in expecting him to hand one to her after he decided to take them again. She’s the 9 year old child, she doesn’t get to make rules. I hate kids like that.
Alma is basically a baby Joffrey. And just like Joffrey, I just want to pull out my belt and connect it with her tail.
Now I’m expecting Alma to cut open a pregnant cat, and show Harry the kittens
Love your theory!! It makes a lot of sense. The Pale People were originally the ones who were the most in touch with their humanity. They were compassionate and wanted to protect people. The perceived talented vamps are the ones who were overly ambitious, perfectionists who were greedy for money and notoriety. Also, before all of the characters took the pill, they were on the same level talent-wise. None of them were successful. Each of them had a creative block and weren't able to ascend to the next level. So, in that regard, there didn't seem to be any difference between them. It definitely has to be something unrelated to their levels of talent that is causing the Pale People and the perceived talented ones to have opposite responses to the pill.
I totally agree. I think the pill works with the ego. The Chemist, or maybe Belle, mentioned that the pills worked on people who were convinced of their own talent. And so maybe the Pales are those people who are more humble, and not conceited losers.
Just a half-assed theory. 😬😉
@@cyanide_lollipop3264 The Chemist said it in episode 4 the flashback that the rage from the" talented" ones comes from the arrogance that they think they're better than everyone
I agree. Episode 4 gave clues to what the pill really does. The singer who turned into a pale creature was a Buddhist, pacifist and vegan. He had high morals in addition to being a great singer. He was all about caring for people. Just as Doris cared a lot about her family. Something tells me if karen didn't commit suicide she would have turned into a pale creature.
Mickey?
Do you think TB Karen would have became pale if she didn’t kill herself?
I've always thought Lyme disease would be part of the big twist since Doris kept mentioning it but this makes much more sense! I can't wait for next week and I hate that I have to wait 4 hrs until it hits Hulu 😭
Do a free trial of RUclips tv lol that’s what I did (I got impatient last week)
8 can't come up n with a scenario that explains the Lyme Comments
I reckon we'll have a Hamlet ending - pretty much everyone ends up dead in one room (The Chemist's house) & a supporting character rocks up, says 'well this sucks, ok, clean it up boys' & it ends. Most probably Denis O'Hare's character, as he's been somewhat of a detached onlooker in all this. We don't know for sure if he's a pill person - he could just have organically built his own career & success. He's been here all this time, watching all this go down - he could be there in the role of a representation of the audience, something Shakespeare did a lot. Or he's a pill person & just grabs The Chemist's stash & moonwalks off into the sunset, lol.
Lol to the last part !! 🤪 could you imagine 😆
And spends the night at the hotel Cortez where he hooks up with Liz
Girl I think you solved it! Also it makes sense that the US government wasn’t trying to lock the creative mind, but the morality of the mind
That Doris transformation took me out. Watched it twice and it was worst the second time around. I was just too done. Also y'all noticed how fast they stopped going after Karen once she took the pill. That was weird asf.
Maybe Mickey stopped them, he just wanted to force her to be like him? I dunno, I suck at theories… but at least I enjoy shows&movies more ‘cause I know that I am almost never right😂
That's because the pale creatures don't attack the pill takers.
Horror movies tend to take liberty when it comes to speediness of transformation. Some turn to monsters quick while others can take days and you’re like, hold up! 🤨 lol
@@dannyt7269 I get that but we all know with shows like this small things can sometimes things turn out to be huge...not banking on it but it did stand out to me.
@@lavatoz I know that but it stood out how fast the effect was.
Also I think the second half is gonna be one the scripts written by Harry
Ohhhhhh I like that
Or Mickey?
I reaaally want for Alma to lose access to the pills so she wouldnt be able to play a single note.
Girl you are the blue ribbon winner of the insight to this season. I love your recap and lowdown of each episode. You are a American Horror Story brainiac. I love it. 5 stars!!
The pill is made of alien blood?
Karen is coming back. Vampires can't die.
The sheriff arrived in town at the same time as the Chemist. She's not dead either.
In fact, isn't the 'pale one' that Harry killed in their home in episode 2, one of the guys on the beach in the latest episode? I'll take screen shots.
They are bloodsuckers like leeches, not vampires. Vampires can’t be in sunlight and have no reflections. Harry’s and Doris’ reflections showed in mirrors after the pills and obviously we see them all walking in daylight.
They aren’t actual vampires lol
They’re referred as Ghouls, not vamps. Try again
I stumbled upon this and out of all the theories I’ve seen (a lot of them are so out of reach and always have to bring in aliens..), your theory makes the most sense. Thinking about cut throat mentality vs pacifists, it makes so much sense.
But I think the chemist really thinks that it works on people with talent when it’s actually giving ambitious/cutthroat people talent.
Love your video and theory.
chile, you have the best theory. very well researched.
I personally thought the pill reacted to ambition and self-esteem. I actually think the morality theory is a better fit, and I love this observation!
At this point, I will throw these hands for Doris! 🙌🏻
“Something is wrong with their medulla oblongata.” - Prof. Colonel Sanders, HAPPY GILMORE
I thought something was up when I saw the title was "Gaslight". Like Ryan is gaslighting us. This totally fits!
Phenomenal theory video! Definitely the best one I’ve seen so far!
This is so surreal!!! Because i am a brain injury survivor!! I had aneurysm where my blood vessel burst in my brain stem and cerebellum. That was 20 years ago, and I have drop foot on right foot, which really affects my balance. I walk with a limp. You dead on with posture as well!!
This is great information, I was not expecting to hear 👏
Based merely upon the location…an isolated island(ish), with someone that has strange abilities (the chemist) it could be referencing “The Tempest.” Don’t quote me on that as it’s been over 30 since I read that particular play.
First time watching, you did a great job! I learned more in this one breakdown than I did in the whole season of breakdowns from these regular dudes. Keep up the great work.
Great work Gray 👍
Appreciate your time and hard work you put in to these videos
This is a great theory and your research is thorough, love that about your channel!!
Hi, just wanted to say thank you for your videos - I recently found your channel and love your theories. I am with you about the pill - I think that there is way more to it than this but the reference to MacBeth. Damn, that's actually potentially so on point! REALLY loving this season so far!
Thank you so much!❤️
Gray, from ASOIAF to AHS, you're a damn genius.
I got big shades of The Shining when Pale Doris was trying to get out of the bathroom
Greatness!!! Your review is on point and I love your passion, looking forward to your next videos. I hope they are able to transmit the message what you explained here in the show. I liked the season and now I love it, it is more brainiac than all the other season based on your review.
I’m blown away by this! Your Shakespeare connection is incredibly creative; lovely job on the video. I am so impressed with the inter-connective literary points.
This analysis is so well done and brought up points I haven’t seen in other videos. Excellent job! 💛
Giving the tide theme Shakespear's The Tempest comes to mind
The Chemist said the pill worked on the ego, like how highly people think of themselves. However, that doesn't explain why the karaoke singer turned into a Pale.
Something is missing...
EDIT: Further thought: the Pales were people who were humble and/or unsure of their talent. Or, in Doris's case, she didn't even know that interior decorating was a creative/artistic field.
Legit the best theory about the pills I've heard so far! And I love the Shakespeare angle.
I really appreciated and liked this, you really have good theories on this season. LOVE IT.
Girl, I’m loving your theory, definitely gained a subscriber!!! Keep it up! 👍
This is amazing! I’m gonna have to sub for more of this! Great Job!
Wow your connections to Shakespeare are spot on. I think you’re so right about the pill having nothing to do with talent but morality!!!!! I absolutely predict that will end up being true.
Finally I see a really good video show about AHS Season 10. Very intelligent and makes really good sense
Shakespeare? Living just down the road from Shakespeare's birthplace, they rammed his plays down our throat from age 7 or 8. Can you imagine being 8 years old and sitting through Hamlet? Consequently I can't stand his old plays, so can't help you with that one. As for modernised Shakespeare? It works for me! I might be encouraged to reinvestigate Shakespeare. I wish American Horror Story was about when I was at school, the teachers couldn't make me research Shakespeare, but Ryan Murphy can!
I never look at theories before the show ends but I hope your theory is right it would be so dope
You are one smart cookie, Gray. Really excellent theories. Bravo.
Wow this is a great theory. Amazing research too. Well done!
Great theory! Great channel. Thank you for sharing!
“A fucking thing to do with Talent “
🤣🤣🤣
Wow this breakdown was so good! Definitely subscribing to this channel 👍🏿
This is one of the best theories I've heard. BRAVO to you sis. You really thought this all the way thru. I'm subbed now!! Lol
Mickey enjoying violent delights: This is awesome.
Mickey not enjoying violent ends: Oh shit, this sucks.
You definitely earned a sub, love the way you analyze and your energy
Please, please get into Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire and then watch all of those videos she has.
@@Ash.Crow.Goddess sounds like a treat
Thankyou papi
Lingering Questions: Lyme Disease? How does that play out? And why does taking the pill repel the pale ones? What's the real reason/significance of the red lights? What tf does Karen have? Why does Lark have a bazillion weird 80s couture coats that she clothes the pale ones with? (Kidding on that last one. Sort of.)
Omfg I said the same thing this episode... like okay sis you really had 40 Klaus Nomi esque jackets for this damn vampire army?!
Legit one of your best show theories!!
You are a genius. My mind is blown. Love this video!
Wow I love this theory! It's makes so much sense
Hi, new to your channel & im loving it. I love the theory you came up with. And I agree its all about who has morals.
Alma was also the name of Kit Walker's secret wife in Asylum.
Can anyone make any connections with the two characters? Both alien abductees/experiments?? Just seems like it's not a common enough name to be accidentally used twice.
Kit and Alma went to Provincetown to get married.
Your onto something because I believe they actually got married in Provincetown.
@@jasonwelch1680 Yes they got married in Provincetown.
Also in the 1st episode Harry said his dad was a law professor in Provincetown. It was referenced in asylum that Kits son grew up to practice law in Provincetown. So perhaps Harry is Kit and Alma's grandson and they named her after their grandmother. The sheriff was even asking Alma about her name being so old fashioned. I think there has to be some sort of significance there.
@@tararomine5178 Oh, wow-good catch! I didn't even notice that Harry said that! I think you're right about the family connection. I wonder if the show will address it?
I totally agree with You! Alma and Ursula are absolutely AWEFUL! I’d love to punt Alma, too, Girl!
The frontal lobe doesn’t start to really develop until your early-mid twenties that would explain why Alma is having a very intense reaction to it.
You always have the tea!
Yesssss bestieeee! I can’t wait for our next after show!! Cuz it’s gonna be lit!
That’s what I thought too. She reacted so intensely because her brain wasn’t developed yet.
Damn, good call!
You're very smart...I agree!!! Absolutely, narcissistic people are the "talented" and the beautiful empaths are the walkers. I think the narcs will end up destroying each other.
Great insight
I think it’s actually “Belle’s House” 🚨
Great theory, did you look up Lyme disease too. Loved this
@@tonydelgado4485 yes my last video I talked about how lyme depletes the same minerals in the blood as the muse pill
I too think it’s Belle’s home, and if you pause and slowly watch in the promo when the fishermen are pulling the body up and you can see it in the water, it almost appears to be what Holden was wearing. There is certainly many questions like where is Lark, The sheriffs body, how did the pale people get their fangs because they don’t appear to have had much to offer Lark to do it, and Ursula...pales don’t offer to attack her or taunt her, and “if” she’s human...how come Doris didn’t eat her up when he freed her and got her ready to go outside since she was right there? Just things noticed that’s caused question. BTW you have done a fantastic job!
I just came across your content and 1000% dope so imma subscribe 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I am new to your channel, but I just love your videos.
Great review and theory!
OMG 👑 what a video & theory!! Love it!!
Girl this was a goood good theory! Obsessed!
This really just blew my whole mind omg
Love your videos!!!!!
I wake up at 4 am every morning so I am asleep super early. I watch y’all the next morning. 👍🏼 thank you so much for pronouncing occipital correctly everyone else is saying all kinds of crazy crap not pronouncing it correctly.
@vickon yes! I have had to stop myself from being “that person” and correcting them 🙈🤣😩
So, when the singer took the pill he got sick & threw up, became a pale one. Doris took the pill, threw up, became a pale one. But we also saw Austin throwing up but he didn’t turn to a pale one, but none of the other “talented” people threw up after taking the pill… is that significant or am I just picking at straws here?
P.S. I know it’s past the point of relevance but I think Doris fell down the stairs on purpose to protect Alma.
Love you and your videos
Sorry if this is weird but I love your voice and how you speak!! Such a good review
After seeing all the people whose body “accepted” the pill. I started wondering if only like mean or bad people could take it. I don’t think it has anything to do with talent, alma was vain and a brat before the pill. Everyone who took it was already jerks and mean it’s just like the pill amplified it. Doris was really nice and sweet and I honestly feel like she didn’t need the pill that’s probably more why it didn’t “work”. She didn’t have the personality persay but in a good way if that makes any sense
I think you hit the nail on the head!!!!
Best theory! I can totally see it
This is a really really good theory that I didn’t even think about
You singing "murder on my mind" won you a subscriber. IM SCREAMING
To me the pill is a direct reference to adderall. As someone that has taken adderall before I know it stimulates the creativity in your brain. They might have the part of the brain wrong on the show, but they definitely got the results correct.
Also, with adderall if you actually need it (adhd, narcolepsy, ect) it doesn't have the same effect as it does on people that don't need it. Kind of like the opposite of how the pill on the show works
I got a feeling it is ferrofluid that the chemist was using...
How do we think Lyme disease will play a part??? I honestly have no idea.
Maybe Lyme disease will cure it . Maybe Doris will contract it and be cured
And this is the reason we love you, baby! You are one intelligent woman. I love the way you explain everything, with such detail which makes complete sense. Keep the videos coming Hun!
Another difference I noticed was whether or not they had blood after taking the pill
ok this is amazing explanation
Now this makes more sense than anything I’ve heard!!
I think you are spot on
And what about the portrait of Dorian Gray story ? The character’s names are closed to the AHS characters : Dorian Gray stands for Doris and Lors Henry is called… Harry. Think aboot it.
I like the hard work you put into your theory..... Here's some of my thoughts. I think Karen is going to come back from the ocean changed. If it's an alien based pill, maybe they are looking for the person who can retain some of their humanity. She killed Micky but in her mind she was saving him. She then was probably able to paint her perfect painting so having fulfilled her wishes of creating something beautiful. Then she doesn't get ambitious, she simply dies, I think happy in her own way.
So maybe the pill people reward her somehow.
Everyone keeps forgetting Lark. I think she is a sort over seer. She always meets most when they change. And maybe she's making sure the pill experiment stays contained in Providence.
I think Ursela will take Alma and make their fame and fortune. But when Alma becomes an adult at 18 she'll kill Ursela and continue on by herself.
Those are just my crazy ideas.
I'm loving this season.
This is perfect. Yes, yes and yes.
Ohh wow you made a lot of good points
The name Alma ( or full name Almandine) will def have some play in the next plot. The commissioner made to big of point of pointing out that its a very old name
Yes girl u cracked the code !! That pill has nothing to do with talent
I feel like little Eli is gonna be a dELIcious snack either for Belle or Alma. I just don't see that poor baby surviving, especially around Alma who has fed on him before and clearly doesn't care how horrifying it is.
it would be a waste on Alma because she's not performing anywhere. The effects of the baby blood will wear off and she will have nothing to show for it. At least Belle would have written a book or two.
This theory is amazing and makes so much sense. I also have a theory in mind. The trailer for the next episode like you said in the video with Patty O Furniture, If my grandmother was evil, The demon spawn, The Queen Chemist, and Worst husband and father of the year in belle's home with Bitch Witch Ursula somewhere in the cemetery, I think Bitch Witch Ursula actually doesn't die there, it is a possibility however I have a theory that she has a big role to play next episode. You know how you said something about commanding the pales? I feel like Ursula commands them to attack Belle's House and that's how we get that scene. With the description episode, Ursula has a huge role and I can feel it. Also WHERE the hell is Lark? Where has she been? (sorry if this doesn't make sense, I did those names and I lost track but hopefully you get it)
I agree. I think Ursulas ego is too big not to be in on this in some way. I don't believe she will die.
Genius theory
I also think it's interesting you mention the morality affected by the pills. I love how Karen's first murder is so unexpected but you knew it was coming. She wasn't fixated on success like the others but most of them were told it was specifically for success. So she knew it was flat out bad from the jump. She wouldn't be persuaded by the prospect of success.
Not AHS related, but every time I see Anjelica Huston in your opening sequence I can't stop picturing her as Barbrey Dustin and wondering what might've been had she been included in the show🤷♀️.
Hahah now I can’t unsee it
That would be genius casting. Morticia Addams = Barbrey Dustin.
Also, I just realized that Yara/Asha Greyjoy is a usurper.
“Michael Langdon doesn’t have shit on Alma” killed me
Probably not that deep or connected but I find the chemist to be interestingly similar to puck from Midsomer Night’s Dream. Similar to the way puck is a mischievous fairy creature that changes the perspective’s of everyone in the play by make them fall in love with one another, the chemist does the same as the widening distribution of these pills are making normal people make decisions that are irrational! If they continue the same story as that play, then an event will occur that will stop the effects of the pill and that some of the surviving characters will return to their previous state before taking the pill (or being tricked by pucks magic in the play).
Cool thought!
I think the pill exposes who is non human aka aliens living among us.
I think that's Belle's house based on the white fence, bookshelves, and brick design we've seen at Belle's throughout the season.
Great vid I agree it has nothing to do with ability
Lark took them too but you never see her feed and she just tattoos and sharpens teeth for everyone else and let’s face it that didn’t take too much thought so, lol. I agree the talent is not the catalyst here.
