I started eating WFPB 6 years ago when I was 64-years old. Although I ate relatively healthy before, I still ate chicken, fish and cheese. It's never too late to make a change for your health. I teach 14 classes of yoga every week and take no medications. I feel great!!!
You are doing my goal. Keep eating WFPB and exercising, particularly doing yoga. I hope to accomplish that lifestyle. I am 67 and my WFPB eating has been a 4 year work in progress although, this last year has been by far much better. I'm invigorated by your post. Thank you 🥰
I started eating WFPB back in late 2016-17 because of digestive issues and gave up meat & dairy. My workout regime is parlay between Pilates or yoga and strength training… I’m almost 60😊😊❤🔥
I started being a vegan yesterday. My wife thought it was hilarious. I'm keeping it simple. Oatmeal with fruit for breakfast. Rice with natto and mixed vegetables and half an apple for lunch. Potatoes and spinach for dinner. Today, my wife was livid. She didn't think I was serious. She threw every guilt trip at me that she could. Most of them I could answer with, "You don't have to be a vegan. I want to be one." By dinner time, she had cooked me a dinner of tofu and broccoli covered with ground yam, a sweet potato, the leftover spinach from yesterday and some wakame seaweed salad. "That was a lot of work," she said. I said it was delicious but a simple meal would have been fine. "That's no fun," she said. We'll have to take this one step at a time.
Hello there yes it is not simple. I have the new book of Michael Greger MD How not to age, only around 25 dollar, over 600 pages, fantastic . It is only out for 3 weeks, almost finished it ( English is not my first language, but not difficult to read). It cover more than food. I am sure iy is worth the 25 euro; it wil save you thousands.
@@eddydejagere3411 Thank you for that recommendation. I have watched many lectures of Dr. Greger on RUclips where he discusses that topic and others. I am already bumping into the "To supplement or not to supplement" controversy. Vitamin b12 is a no brainer, but omega-3 supplementation seems to be quite controversial.
It is an adjustment period for both of you. The most important part of it - not to guilt each other about food choices. Your wife needs to understand that she does not need to do anything to accommodate your choice. I told my wife I would cook whatever I needed, and she didn't have to worry about it. I was playing with the recipes, introduced tofu and squash dishes, cool soups. Tofu scramble became a success as well as home made guacamole.
@shrimpsauce5023 Of course, all of these insects were previously kept in prisons. Forced to impregnate and tortured, like cows, pigs, etc. Watch the film Dominion and then you definitely won't write things like that...
I’m new to a plant based. 1 hack we use is to make batches of brown rice, quinoa, barley. Cool them, then put them into a flat gallon baggie. Place that in freezer laying flat. You can then mix and match grains throughout the week without waste. You break off a little bit and microwave it. It really makes building bowls easy.
This is a great video. I’ve been eating a whole food plant based diet for over 13 years now and at 71 years old I’m in better health than I was in my twenties. Eating this way does work. No pain, no pills. Keep up the good work.
I've been veggie since '93 and I recall being made fun of by "family" back in the day. I've been vegan, vegetarian, whole-food plant-based and am currently WFPB, again. It's been a struggle to keep the junk out due to my own food issues that started when I was in my teens. It's all a work in progress but boy do I feel my best when I treat my body with respect and cut out the junk and stay the course. I found you guys back in 2020 during the height of Covid and I still stray to the junk here and there and my body/mind quickly remind me that it's not the way to go. As I work on my food issues, I find that I don't stray as much as I used to. I really appreciate this channel and the community (FB, too) for being a source of inspiration and knowledge along my journey.
As corny as it may sounds, a very short cookbook works! We have ten meals that we eat. We just made sure that it's diverse with fruits and vegetables. Breakfast, that a different story. It's pretty much oatmeal and frozen fruits or grits and tofu-eggs. So much time is saved when just looking at a quick meal to make when it's only 1/10 to choose from.
I made the decision to become a vegan in 1968 - fifty five years ago. Never looked back. Never had a craving for a burger or a steak… I’m an slender 77 year old guy now - married to a 45 year old woman (also a vegan!) *It’s a good decision for some ppl… I strongly recommend it. Try it for twenty one days - see how you feel… Best wishes to you!
I live in a multi-generational home and am the only one that wants to be plant based. I kept trying recipes and repeated the ones that I liked and were simple. because of the family having the items I don’t want to eat in the pantry and the fridge, I find I need to have a mental path for food prep worked out ahead of time and some items in the fridge pre-made. Pre-grated and chopped vegetables and dressings are really helpful. When I stray, I make sure to get back to wfpb as soon as possible. Listening to wfpb channels like this one helps me keep going. My eating is far better now, than 2 years ago. Thank you for your work. Your recipes and attitude to keep meals simple have helped.
I've been eating WFPB for 5 1/2 years. In the beginning, I read all those doctors books & more. They were eye opening. What I love about your recipes is they use a lot of herbs & spices. It really ramps up the flavor without adding sugar, salt, fat. They're also easy to make. I know what two doctors you're talking about with chopping kale & worrying about squeezing every enzyme out. I actually followed their plans for the first two years. How enlightening to come across your channel! You saved my sanity!
Dr. Michael Greger, who I love and follow quite a bit, as well as read his "How Not to Die" book (great read, by the way). He is the doctor who tells you to chop your kale and then let it sit for an hour. I'm totally with Dillon on his suggestions about not worrying about such things. But here's what I do. If I am making, oh, say a big pot of stew, and it calls for kale, as well as many other veggies, I will indeed chop the kale first, because by the time I finish chopping and dicing all the other items, it'll be about an hour by then. I'll do stuff like that, because it's not an inconvenience. Now if I was making something that only called for kale to be chopped (I know, play along with me here😆 ), then I wouldn't chop it and let it sit; I'd use it right away. Dillon is giving great tips here! 👍
I have been vegan for 9 years! Keeping it simple is key. I eat the same stuff over and over that I love that are healthy and then I pepper in vegan treats. I don’t sweat it
Well said and thank you Dillon! I had previously read the 3 books that you have recommended - all eye opening reads. I have been a starchivore (WFPB SOS) for about 1 year now. Thought I was slim and in shape before, but still dropped 20 lbs. I have now lost all craving for the meaty, cheesy, salty "foods" that I used to eat. Your statement about others being threatened by our new, healthy ways of eating is right on. Just by refusing to eat the SAD diet is a rebuke even if we say nothing. Most of my friends, family and colleagues cannot even comprehend that my new food choices are not deprivation, but actually what I prefer to eat and what humans are designed to eat. Occasionally, someone will express real interest in my food choices - I just tell them to watch Forks Over Knives and leave it at that. Keep up the good work!!👍
Forks over Knives, What the Health, and Game Changers. Yes, nice to just direct questions to these great documentaries. I feel I can’t remember enough to adequately convey what I want to share.
I love how you treat this like an addiction recovery. It is. It took years of sticking to a healthy diet before my brain rewired itself to produce an appropriate dopamine rush from eating healthy foods, and eliminating highly addictive foods. I also love how the focus isn't on demonizing animal products or dairy or the environment or greenhouse gas. But instead focusing on the fact that eating a vegetable diet makes us healthier and ultimately feel better. That especially important for families with children. Every time I hear someone say I should eat vegan/vegetarian for the environment, I want to scream. People don't put the environment above their children's welfare, and they shouldn't. The focus must be that this is healthier for children, environment be damned.
@@sschreck08 Having an unpolluted, non-toxic environment is certainly important as is having clean, healthy food. However asking someone to sacrifice a child's health by only feeding them food that has low greenhouse gas impact, for example, would only create violent opposition, and would be stupid, IMO. The greenhouse gas impacts on the planet of one family, even a million families, would not be measurable. But the health benefit of replacing processed, ultra-palatable food including red meat, with healthy starches and vegetable and fruits would be huge to the child. That's why I like the message from this channel.
You're right, I don't put the environment above my children's health. It has equal importance because what good is a healthy diet if the environment isn't healthy also?
@@Kayte... Yes. The thing is I can't get past the knowledge that whether or not I, or even a million families like mine, decide to eat animal products, will make no measurable difference on the earth's, or even my local, environment. However what I feed our children can have a direct and huge impact on their health.
I am so fortunate in that I lost my taste and smell in 2019. Since then I lost 42 pounds. It took me a half year to realize..HEY! What am I doing? This is the perfect opportunity to fight my obesity! It has been a journey. I have tried it all! I did best counting calories. But am fighting illness. Fibromyalgia, degenerative spine disease, arthritis. I need healing. I tried Carnivore..😝lasted two days on that. Then I wanted dense foods..did that..then came Thanksgiving. That was the catalyst for me. After that day I just wanted vegetables. And here I am..day 5. You are very entertaining. I am new here but not new to vegan vegetarian or raw. I have done it all. So I am back. Trying to heal so I can avoid becoming the bionic spine and hips. Its crazy, but day five and I got out of bed so easily it shocked me! I can't wait to see how I do on day 31! ❤
I use spices, ginger root, lime or lemon juice etc. to get flavor (replacing salt and oil). It is fun for me to learn spice blends from cuisines from around the world ( which also gets me to eat larger variety of plants and mushrooms).
Dillon, I cried real tears (in a good way) near the end of this video. Your passion and clarity is so wonderful, and helpful. Thank you so much ! Keep on keeping on !! You really understand and explain how challenging it can be for us to make these healthy changes, and how important it is to have support so we can keep on track.
Your Recipe Amneisia hit a cord and I downloaded your Mealrotator. What an ingenious...and simple... concept! For me, another key was to find the flavorings I really loved. I don't need a grocery store full of every herb and spice. Just the ones i love and use repeatedly. Thanks, Dillon!
Yes agree, keep our diets simple, quick and easy. Iv been an ethical and healthy active vegan for nearly 12 yrs now and at nearly 69 yrs old take no supplents or meds. I have regular health check ups and feel better now than i did in my twenties thirties and forties. I eat a breakfast every morning of porridge with fresh fruits, nuts and seeds and its my favorite meal of the day. My afternoon meal is steamed fresh veg, beans, and pasta or rice in the summer months, and veggie casseroles in the winter. The hours in between these main meals i snack on jam on toast and tea or coffee and bottled water. I gave up smoking in my early fifties im glad to say, and keep fit and active by getting out most days or doing gentle exercise to music which iv always loved. Living simply and modestly is how i love to live and it can only be enjoyed when feeling mentally and physically fit and well.
I’m 52, and I am going to begin WFPB. Your channel has been huge for me. I’ve given myself a week to plan, and I start this new lifestyle 2/3/24. Looking forward to this.
Good luck and keep trying! Change isn’t one step or flipping a switch. It is many small steps and takes a long time. Make this your goal and keep going.
Im just starting out....have been trying to start for years!!! I work 2am/3am AND at a grocery store!! So bad!! Smell the bread and donuts baking!! Stock the aisles of crap junk i love😢. You and Reebs have motivated me SO much better!!! I cant seem to find things around here either. So i have decided to go to Sams who offer bulk veggies and just take a day off chopping all my veggies and freeze them. So whe there is too much corn and not enough bell pepper ect. I make my own veggie bags!! I will let you know how i do you guys!! Thank you SO much!! I was recipe freak and really was causing me to not commit!!
Gluten free vegan for 7 years. I’m so lazy plus I don’t like cooking. I end up eating fruit in the morning, salad at lunch and steamed vegetables for dinner. On weekends when I’m not so busy with my full time as well as part time jobs, I do try some vegan recipes. I agree with not having junk food in the house. (way too tempting)
I've been vegan for 40 years. For the first 20 years I was still using oil. Then I discovered Dr. McDougall, and eliminating oil made a big difference for me. Going to strictly whole foods and no processed foods has also made a difference in how I feel. Even after alll of this time, I'm still learning. I recently found out I was low in iodine, and switched from plain sea salt to iodized sea salt. I was also marginally low in zinc, and added in pumpkin seeds. Now I'm working on Omega-3 EFA without having to use flax seeds, which don't agree with me. These are a few of the things that no one ever tells you. I have ongoing "discussions" with my acupuncturist and alternative healthcare practitioner who insist that I need to eat some meat because I'm not getting enough protein or the right kinds of fat. It's hard to stand your ground with some of these folks. That's why I appreciate people like Dillon who provide good and reliable information so I can stay on track and not get sidetracked by those who don't believe in a WFPB diet.
Takes a little time to work out the little parts that have to be customized to our own body’s needs. But once you have it figured out, it mostly works for life. Love it.
Today 3wks 4days following the lifestyle of a Proper Vegan, I felt better after the third day, so I will continue learning new recipes to keep my palette happy and my heart healthy. Thanks for this video, and, yes! Let's keep it nice and simple😉
Hello you lovely people and 2 lil adorable boys!! 👨👩👦👦🤗💕 Sooo great that your speaking on "vegan junkfood". Its frightening how caught up i was in all that in the beginning. Full of salt #1 and totally unhealthy. Now with Tofu,Chickpeas, blackbeans😋 and Lentils i can make a slew of good stuff!! Through in some greens and WELLAH!! great healthy meals. Learning alot from you and Reebs. Thank you Debi in California 🙋♀️⚘
You’re going to get tired of hearing me say this…but your no nonsense, simple, KISS (Keep it simple, “silly”) approach, is extremely encouraging & approachable. Gets this newbie excited about being more healthy. If I lose weight, that’s a bonus; but it is not my why. Thanks for helping keep this “class” a WFPB 101 curriculum. 😃
This was the first video of yours I have watched and I literally just EXHALED! It went right to the core of the anxiety I’m having about whether I can do this or not. And because of recent test results, I know I MUST do it! Thank you so much for your calm, sensible approach! I feel like I was just thrown a lifeline. Instantly subscribed and will be joining the FB group. Infinite love and gratitude 🙏🏽💖
I have been plant-based for over 25 years. I'm always still looking for new recipes new ideas support all that that goes along with being and eating healthy. This channel Will give you all the information and support you need to change your unhealthy life into a happy and prosperous healthy life❤
A friend recommended your RUclips to me about a week ago, I’m in love. It’s just perfect. I love the way you explain it in the simplicity. Thank you very much to you both.
Awesome video, will share with my patients/clients (I'm a WFPB health coach and future WFPB/Lifestyle med doc, like some of the ones you mentioned!). Although I agree with not focusing on nutrient chasing and overcomplications (especially for beginners), as a more advanced and "sciency" WFPB eater, I do appreciate and implement these aspects as best I can, I see it as a fun challenge but it doesn't throw me off and I know it'll help me be even healthier! I do share some of these main tips esp with the more experienced folks, plus a lot of it is simple, like combining Turmeric and Black Peppper, Eating salads with some healthy fats for better phytonutrient absorption, the Sulforaphane trick you mentioned (chopping crucifers and leaving out for 30 min before cooking to activate Sulforaphane), but another trick is combining cooked with fresh, or adding some mustard seeds. Some of these are more simple than others, but I make sure people know to not let it throw them off course, but just see it as something they can do to optimize their health even more when they are ready and at more advanced stages of eating WFPB, since it will only help them be healthier! Anyway, thanks for everything as usual, you guys are in my top 5 WFPB RUclipsr list that I recommend to patients/clients, family, friends, colleagues, etc.!
These chats are fabulous, and so helpful. A sense of community is a great thing to talk about, because it’s a vital piece of the puzzle. I have made wonderful friends in the digital WFPB world 🌍. Nobody eats like me in my life. ‘Your family will turn on you’ line made me laugh out loud 😂. I love Dillon’s sense of humour 😊
I find that if I buy a variety of nuts, fruits, veggies, and whole grains I can come up with something tasty and healthy for all our meals. I rarely use recipes, just see what I have and come up with some concoction. Been vegetarian for 40 years, plant based for the last 10. I’m aging but am healthy and spry.
Thanks , Dillon. Good info for newbies and more seasoned WFPB folks alike. I’m 2.6 years in and have never been tempted to eat any other way. For me it’s all about my commitment and attitude toward healthy eating.
5 years vegan on December 26 this year. WFPB predominantly, and it's the best, easiest, and most sustainable decision I've ever made for my personal health. I would not change a thing. And yes indeed, I NEVER bring it up in social settings, yet always find myself having a conversation about it with someone who does bring it up. Thanks! And I need to try some of your stuff!
Looking to get back into WFPB. I remember loving my simple lunches of rice and two bags of steamed veggies, and even the daily smells from my coworkers ordering fried this and pizza that didn't discourage me (the smells actually made me sick to my stomach). Two things happened: My doc told me I had to stop eating tomatoes (my most favorite food and a daily breakfast staple) and someone guilted me into accepting a trigger food and I ate it like a chump. I have work to do. Thanks for the spark to get back on the horse.
I like this guy's vibe. Love the uplifting comments. I've been 100% plant-based myself for the last 6 yrs. WFPB for about the last 3 yrs. I agree totally. It's very difficult to "stay on the wagon" so to speak. If I were on FB I'd certainly join your group.
Developing a personalized system (into which you can integrate some of these other tips) was which streamlined my progress. Also, try to chew more and, IMHO, do some tracking e.g. with the free chronometer app to have some idea of what you are and aren't eating. (We are usually low on protein, iron and calcium.) Make sure you have enough protein without the need to consume tremendous amounts of whole foods - so find some protein rich bread or something like that. (In the UK we have Jason's Sourdough with extra wheat and pea protein, it's good.) Yeah, and if you are suffering, think about the animals: that will throw you back on track :) Thanks for the video!
Absolutely not the diet for me but I respect you talking about diet and human health. The testimonies in your comments section show that this way of eating really works for some people. Nice presentation style too.
I just love you guys!! You keep me so inspired while I am the only one in my life who lives this lifestyle. Dillon and Reebs, THANK YOU so very much for your content💞
Dillan, I thank you so much for this video. I went on the plant-based diet 10 years ago myself. I struggled so much in those 10 years trying to figure all this out. A couple months ago I just threw my hands up I said I am done and went back to eating the traditional "meat and potato diet" even though we kept it on the lean side. I am uncomfortable with it because I really don't want to be eating the flesh of animals. I'd rather be eating the whole food plant-based diet, but like you said, when the whole world, and your immediate family that lives in the same house, is against you it is a real struggle. My husband doesn't enjoy the food, because like you said, it's not as rich, and he likes all that rich, fattening, salty, sugary stuff. It's a struggle for him and so he doesn't support me very well. Thankfully now he has decided to try this whole food plant-based diet again with more of an open mind. I'm really going to need to pray that he'll hold on to this until his taste buds change and he can really start enjoying the wholesome goodness of this type of eating.
I had to go vegan gluten free after a tick bite I cannot eat meats, dairies, or gluten gluten makes me swell up and my joints hurt I can hardly walk. I just cannot eat meat or dairy. I deal with Rickettsia Rickettsii so a whole food plant based diet is honestly the only way to go. I will confess I will eat sweets at the holidays and it really is my weakness. It’s hard my husband is not vegan. I can’t tolerate processed foods. On a more positive note, my asthma was cured as long as I eat clean and no gluten asthma doesn’t bother me at all. This is my new channel! I did the thanksgiving stew your last video oh my gosh it was so good. I try and I struggle with sweets during the holidays. I used to decorate cakes, and I had a candy catering business. So it’s hard people ask me to still make them candy, cookies, I am so thankful for this channel and the support! You and Reebs are so fun. I like the simplicity of your recipes! Yes family can be so cruel about my diet! It’s hard. Merry Christmas. Wendy🎄⛄
I’m trying to do this whole food plant-based again. My issue is I now have an auto immune disease in certain foods put me into a flare. And sure enough they’re all vegetables not all vegetables, but the foods that flare me are veggies. Oh and beans …. I LOVE beans but no way can I eat them. I’m trying to work around them …. Love your channel !
You may be interested in checking out "Goodbye Lupus" with Dr Goldner. She's healed many people of autoimmune illnesses, including herself. Yes, she is vegan.
I love how no nonsense your attitude is, and I don't know why but you make me laugh, because I definitely fell in lot of these traps. These tips are gold - thankyou!
Thank you! I appreciate you sharing your experiences so honestly, I can definitely relate. The struggle (esp when no one else around you is doing anything similar) is real.
This is the best video yet, and you couldn’t have done it before now. It’s all the things that actually work. It’s pragmatic. It’s sensible. It’s easier than you think! You know my Instant Pot stayed in the box two months before I braved it and now I use it 4 or 5 days a week. 😂 I will try to send people here, it’s such a good place to start! The haters is still hard. Ugh. Need to find some local vegans.
I know i feel much better when i eat plant based whole food healthy food i use salt loll a little bit but the beauty of it is we can still exchange ideas or write even if we are a bit different in our diet. I love your tips recipes thank you for the time and effort both of you put in giving the information 😊
Hi all!!! I’m Tanya who has been VEGAN for the past 35 years and I’m currently watching your juicing video. I’m very curious what I can learn🎉 Thank you!!!!
I'd also add in the beginning is to find your WHY. Revisit it from time to time if you find yourself losing interest. Read books on your WHY or YT videos. I've been veggie/vegan for most of my life. People are amazed that I'm 10 year older then I look, plus I'm on no medications, at almost 60 yrs old. 13:46
I'm a huge meat eater as to why i developed psoriatic arthritis. My hands, knees and feet are affected with arthritic pain. So I've been bedridden for 3 months because my feet and knees were extremely painful. But when i started to ditched meat, sugar and dairy i started to walk again but limping. The pain reduced for like 50% and my psoriasis is completely dry now. And also, my dad died from heart attack due to the said diet as well
Hi Dillon and Reebs, this was a fascinating plant-rant. It really helped me to see where you fit in so well in the plant-based scene. Essentially, you are the taking on the role of introductory teachers of the plant-based community, friendly and inspiring, teaching how to live this way and get solid, straightforward habits established that will last you a lifetime. Very useful and effective. Dr Greger, in this example would be a high school teacher or university professor disseminating that absolutely essential knowledge that we all really need to know, and which everyone relies on so that they can trust what they're saying is our most correct knowledge on the subject. Both kinds, and all levels in between, are essential for vegans to thrive right now. We could not do without either of you. Thanks to you both for your part in this major change for humans on the planet!
Thank you, I would only add that most people learn the nitty gritty first and way too many stop there and never actually learn how to apply it to their lives, which is the part we help with. I would also argue that the nitty gritty is way too nitty gritty, and that the majority of the details should really not be treated as if they are consumer-level things you should know. I get so many emails from people confused and derailed by the all the scientific knowledge that no one really needs to dwell on. Just eat the right food.
Excellent points, I would agree with that. I remember in my first vegan years, I used recipes from vegan cooking shows to see what to eat, and I used Dr Greger's info, and others like him, to check out that these recipes were a legit choice. For me it was never either/or, but as you rightly say, Dr Greger's info is pure source material, which can be a steep climb for some, although it wasn't that way for me. Most importantly - you both, Dillon and Reebs, provide this incredible reassurance that this all really works, on a day to day basis, and you literally show us how you do it. Regularly seeing you and your family thrive has been very useful in keeping my vegan life healthier on Lots of days. Thank you so much for all the inspiration.
Number 3 gets me everytime. I do well for awhile, but then my sugar salt addiction gets me. Yep, i buy junk, bring it home and eat it. Gotta do a pantry refrigerator clean out and STOP bringing it home. Ugh.
You guys have TRULY found your purpose in life (one of them, ofcourse). You are so good at what you do! It’s needed and you do it well! So well, I can hardly believe it sometimes, and my good fortune, as well as everyone’s good fortune. Grateful. And I’m sure I speak for thousands of others as well. 👍
I have been vegan since 2006. If I hadn’t done vegan for the animals I would have quit veganism - not because vegan food isn’t healthy and delicious, but because of the constant pressure society exerts on us all to eat more meat, cheese, eggs, etc. At first, I too was very sickly because I discovered all the vegan junk foods. After about 18 months I decided to get educated by following Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s recommendations. And I have enjoyed superior health ever since. But most importantly, despite being constantly pressured to eat animal foods, I have been able to live according to my conscience and my values of compassion for the last 17 years! I have been able to live authentically. THIS is what whole-foods plant-based eating has done for me.
Another fantastic video Dillon. Being vegan doesn't mean being healthy because there is vegan junk processed foods. Vegan Wfpb is the best diet to thrive on. Love 🥰 this video and love 💞 Dillon and Well Your World. Hopefully Dillon & Reebs are having a great week so far.
My husband and I have been plant based for 7 years and are doing all the right things and we still can’t get my husbands blood pressure down Doc wants to put him on meds we don’t, we just recently cut out coconut amino’s and miso started making our own salt free ketchup so hoping this will help
Two things I added to my daily regimen really helped lower my BP. If I drink hibiscus tea and eat some ground flaxseed daily, I see a ten- fifteen point drop. Try it. It just might help. I know it will do no harm. 😊
@@barbarakissler6417 I second the hibiscus tea! I love it, but during my last pregnancy the doctor told me to be careful with it during a certain time in pregnancy because it can lower your bp
I thank you for this video. I am a new at this 3 months in actually and I have been going crazy worrying about nutrients...Im so excited and happy I found your channel

Thanks for this content, Dillon. I'm lucky that I ate vegan for many years before I even knew the word vegan. Then it became happiness that I wanted to share. I have defined my diet as vegan ever since and probably forever...Eating vegan will change our lives for the better, both physical and mental health.
I am just starting to try plant base. I really want to do this cause I have read some books that makes a lot of since that this is much healthier than what I'm doing

Best wishes on your journey.
If you are eating a different meal, you should be cooking it
Simplicity = consistency
Couldn’t agree more. I find that my most successful streaks at wfpb are when I eat very simple meals over and over.
@@TinyTony-vo8zt Me, too!!!
14 years vegan, the best thing I've ever done until the end, I live without blood on my hands❤
Thank you! Like the line, "I live without blood on my hands." THAT'S the main point! ❤❤❤
@shrimpsauce5023 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🤦🤦🤦
Oh wow thank you for this great idea!!👍👍
Awesome! We love batch prepping our starches.
I do the same for grains and legumes!
This is a great video. I’ve been eating a whole food plant based diet for over 13 years now and at 71 years old I’m in better health than I was in my twenties. Eating this way does work. No pain, no pills. Keep up the good work.
That's amazing
I really appreciate this channel and the community (FB, too) for being a source of inspiration and knowledge along my journey.
well said Jennifer thanks for your honesty.
You’re super cool being so aware and health conscious back when so few people were talking about this stuff!
For some it can be devastating especially since vegan isn't about diet.
@@abhayagarwal5097 What do you mean exactly, what are you talking about?
I totally love your rant on #4.....how we didn't get this way by not having turmeric or black cumin seeds!! Love it!!
Their is nothing wrong with added salt
@@calebwert1057 There always has to be one person to give an unformed response.
Yes I love that Dillon often points out that without added salt, food often needs more spice than you would think.
@@kathym9322 well said. feel the same!
The environment is important for the children as well!
I support you, especially after seeing such fast progress. 👍
I’ve also been WFPB for ten years. I’ve read all the books you mentioned and learned so much.
Been vegan 11 years. First 3 years were hard because I didn't know enough recipes but luckily my kids helped me learn and saved my health ❤❤
You got this!
Love the idea of the recipe cards on the fridge.

We use ours all the time, it is great
A friend recommended your RUclips to me about a week ago, I’m in love. It’s just perfect. I love the way you explain it in the simplicity. Thank you very much to you both.
We just started plant based after reading "Eat to Live" by Dr Fuhrman. Glad we found your channel for trips and tricks.
OMG yes, nobody eats like us!! This is especially front and center a couple days before Thanksgiving. I’m so grateful for channels like this one.
Happy to hear it Carol!
Dec 26th is a very interesting day to go vegan. Congrats on your success!! I used to bring it up but learned over time to keep it to myself.😊
Thank you very much, and you have beautiful skin!
Thank you! I could stand up and cheer!!!
I found Replace, Reduce or Refuse works well for new people.
Dillon, you are so passionate! Yup do make a difference with all your recipes and tips. Have you ever shared the story of why you chose to go vegan?
Man, this video couldn't have come at a better time. I find myself struggling to stay on track during the holidays
Love everything about you and Well Your World!! Products are a great easy health short cuts. Thank you!
So true! Whole fresh foods is key! Also pre packaged sugar, this still triggers me. Thank you Dillion
I hope it all goes well! Thank you for sharing!
I love healthy plant based. NOW I'M EATING HPB
I needed to hear this. I try to do things so perfectly. This is a new journey for me and I keep failing. 😊
You got this! Remember to keep it simple!
And also, my dad died from heart attack due to the said diet as well
WOW! Thank you, Dillon. So much on point that I need to hear over and over to keep me going in the right direction in this new (for me) journey!
I am here for health and well being and weight loss, I have used your products and deeply appreciative !! not here for short term! thanks !!
Number 3 gets me everytime. I do well for awhile, but then my sugar salt addiction gets me. Yep, i buy junk, bring it home and eat it. Gotta do a pantry refrigerator clean out and STOP bringing it home. Ugh.
Exactly why I have an 80% nutbutter diet. This pleases me and keeps me away from chocolates, cravings, etc.
I like this guy. Eating should be like that- simple simple, simple, simple and yet extraordinarily powerful and beautiful.
Thanks for this!
You're doing great work, Dillon. Thank you so much. I've been following your videos after having read the authors and doctors you mention.
What a nice compliment, thank you so much Kathy!
The two things that lowered my blood pressure (temporarily) back when it was high were playing hockey and meditating.
Thank you for your "rants" So helpful to bring me back to reality and simplicity!
I Dillon! I'm here for this! You guys have helped me in so many ways! Love you and Reebs! ❤
Thanks for the great advice. I have tried before. I am trying again.

I love Dillon & Reebs. Learned about them from Chef AJ. Well Your World products are great! Plus watching Dillon on You Tube is so funny!
Love. Love. Love. Me a plant rant. Keep them coming and keep everything simple. It makes this lifestyle so much sustainable.
I make easy, tasty recipes that happen to be vegan. People love them. Thanks for all the great recipes. ❤
That's how I started WFPB..1 meal at a time then 1 day..now up to 7 days of it....I said it before eggs are my downfall..1 day a wk 2 eggs. I'm working on it. Thanks for such great simple recipes & products.
Nice, the important thing is you’re not saying eggs are healthy to try and justify eating them. You’re just admitting they are hard to give up. Honest
My downfall was cheese, took me a year to fully leave it behind and not miss it. That was 9 years ago.
Thank you so very much. Love y’all
Good idea on the recipe cards.
