I like the fact that even Ezra was confused by the fact that Ahsoka took Sabine in as her Padawan
This. That was my favorite part.

What Baylan told Shin reminds me of Obi-Wan said to Anakin: "Your need for victory, it blinds you."
Exactly.
I have been seeing the parallels between them since episode one, then it really started bothering by her flying a ship with the same color Anakin favors as well.
Theory when the show ab finding Ezra and blue Boi focuses on Ezra and the blue Boi and not the clone wars: 😵🥴
I mean the show is called Ahsoka not Rebels season 5
@@tallerwarrior1256 The cast and crew said it's Season 5 in everything but the name.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 why they didn’t change the name then?

This episode was good. Not only did it feel like a Rebels episode, with Ezra feeling like Ezra, but seeing Thrawn doing his thing is always a treat
Agreed
100%.
I didn‘t quite grasp his intentions. How much time did he won by attacking them? 15 Minutes?

@@user-kr7rl1tu4d what? This season is literally rebels season 5 so i think it would make the most sense for this to feel like an average rebels episode rather than anything else

Nah it was just okay. 7/10
It was boring.
I love how they pretty much made fun of palpatine returning in rise of skywalker
@@zibilacoste5well that wasn't Dave that was Jon Favreau but yeah they have been heavily connecting this verse to the sequel trilogy with the imperial remnant and Hux and the praetorian guards.
@@zibilacoste5well yeah filoni definitely has something to do with it after all whether people like it or not the sequels are canon so they are gonna connect them one way or another

I'm going to be so disappointed if they connect the 2.
Ezra holding back Shin’s light saber with the force was cool af. I thought it was a good episode. Baylan leaving Shin was surprising, can’t wait to see what happens in the finale.
reminds me of the The Old Republic cinematic where Satele Shan's master told her that they are on different paths when they depart. Yeah, Baylan saying his farewell to Shin is surprising.
Plus I like the fact that Ahsoka offers her help to Shin, she felt hesitant but then left. She's like an actual wolf pup whose pack left to retreat
Yeah Ezra holding the saber back was indeed cool af, but it's also the exact thing that a lot of SW "fans" called stupid whenever Kylo Ren or Rey did it in the sequel trilogy.
Kinda just shows how selective the community can be when they badly want to hate on something
Baylan left her behind to stop Ahsoka, before she could help Sabine and Ezra.
Why didn't he tell this to Shin, so she wouldn't feel betrayed?
Why did he expect to stop Ahsoka's ship, while riding a wolf, instead of her just flying past or bombarding him?
Because the writing is not very good, probably.
He didn’t leave her to stop Ahsoka. He admits it being surprised she survived and clearly wasn’t expecting her to show up. He wasn’t actively seeking her out like you seem to think. He was leaving to pursue his personal journey he’s been alluding to throughout the last few episodes.
@@a_fine_edition2746 Huh, was that it? Why did he even bother fighting Ahsoka, then, if he has somewhere to be?
Not sure where all the hate came from.
I also thought it was funny when theory smiled and laughed when 3P0 arrived but then dogged on it later on
The ultimate example of how he just loves to hate shit for no reason. Even if he enjoys shit in the moment he'll turn around later and say he hated it (just like he did for the sequel movies as a whole; originally said he liked them, now he just hates them for days). The guy changes his own opinion just to keep the negative theme to his channel. Cause god forbid he enjoy something with no caveats. He's a star wars hater and he can't let his fanbase see him enjoying Disney Star Wars lol. It'd be sacrilege.

Bro seemed to have enjoyed the episode based on his reaction and later called that its boring
SWT has earned some down votes from me lately. Not all episodes can be a 10/10. It was a solid connect the dots episode to setup the final. A few days ago SWT launched into a anti-Ezra mumble, instantly turned me off that vid. Ezra is a solid character that grew over time to become a enlightened hero. He stood up to Palpatine and took Thrawn off the board so the rebellion could win.
Last week he gave a 7/10, then a day later called it the best episode... so inconsistent. I think this is a brutally massive show and should really appreciate this quality content, not hate on it
@@tekoneiricI must agree with him. Ezra on paper is a decent or even good character but Ezra in rebels was just annoying at least in my opinion. He did get better with time but I really like him in ahsoka
@@davidfrederiksen3185 Ezra had a story arc similar to Ahsoka. I think that was Dave Filoni's intension. To flesh Ezra out rather than jumping into the hero roll. He started out a street rat and became more. Ahsoka started out a brat then became more.
@@tekoneiric Ohh as I said it's not that I don't like his character arc or the main ideas of the character he was just used extremely poorly. It's not his character that is wrong it was just the way it was used and most of his dialog in the early seasons
Love Theory's respect for George and the devotion to the way Lucas intended Star Wars to be. I too dislike the sequels and what Disney did to Luke. I do agree with most of Theory's SW ideology. However, I thought this episode was good. It felt like Rebels and it really shows more of Ahsoka's new personality and her renewed hope since her vision of Anakin. Not everything has to be "faster and more intense" as George would say. Some times slow episode are okay and necessary to the story. I realize we had two big episodes back to back with Anakin then to Thrawn. Episode 7 feels like the calm before the storm, building up to a massive action packed, and maybe even cameo filled finale.
ty
Completely agree. I’m along for the ride!
Fully agree
I honestly disagree with people saying that this episode was bad or even outright horrible, I'm someone like you who grew up watching the prequel trilogy but unlike you, I'm not trying to have things repeat but rather think it's interesting that some things are different, you mentioned the choreography for example and while it might not be as good as the Prequels once were, I really don't think it's trying to be, the choreography in this episode wasn't superb but it was good.
I see people criticizing the fact that Ezra didn't take his lightsaber when presented to him but it's obvious that he hasn't used a lightsaber in probably a decade and therefore uses the one thing that he's most comfortable with which is the force, also it could simply mean that he trusts Sabine with it.
Some of you are drawing some conclusions too early and people might have a change of opinion after watching the final episode next week.
Y’all are tripping. It wasn’t boring. Just not the mind melting awesomeness of the previous two episodes. It was neccesary connective tissue and we got lots of little treats enbedded in the progression of the story.

I love Theory's commitment to Star Wars, but damn, his opinions have been really bad recently, calling this eoisode boring, not liking Andor, blinded by nostalgia isn't always good
Andor was just another brick in the wall... this episode was boring because the fight scenes were a joke compared to nearly all other Star wars content it was like watching toddler's fight not Jedi vs dark Jedi And the force use was just as bad except Ezra blocking the lightsaber. Beskar is the only metal known that can stop a lightsaber so why did Sabine's lightsaber bounce off that guy's neck when it should have sliced through with no resistance?
That's Disney making Star Wars lame so the ratings are kid friendly

He definitely has been hating pretty much everything. I still can't get over his cere vs vader fight from jedi survivor. He acts like a critic instead of a fan
Yep…this is the worse episode…nothing definitive. Boring and a let down.
this was a solid episode. Thrawn using some of his tactics was very satisfying, even had a whole move set up from the last episode.
Great episode. Loved the Anakin appearance. Hopefully we get more Hayden in future Star Wars projects

Action packed episode. We got Corusant and 3PO, we got an amazing starship scene in the debri field, a beautiful Anakin scene, a renewed Ahsoka, the classic calm and patient Thrawn with his strategies, the Baylan and Hati development and a fully jedi trained Ezra showing what his master Kanan teached him. All that done with great pacing and music and you call it boring? i get that the saber fights are meh especialy in this ep but wtf bro not every ep needs flashy fights and anakin character spam to be good. You guys need to be more clear minded when watching these eps, the series is already made, things won't go as you imagine in all these scenarios you make up and i believe that this fact steals the magic from you, that's why you call it boring.
Thanks for your time
It was a good episode that setups the finale, not a 4 /10. Big L man
This whole show is an L.
Think about it.
The actual plot of the show is weak and reliant on the throwbacks to boost up the hype of the series.
Fight scenes are amateur. The audience can't connect to the characters. The dialogue is sub-par. Only good thing I could point out are the visuals and even this episode had cgi flaws. Don't hate on me now star Wars fans. Just my honest opinion. Cheers

At this point, I'm genuinely wondering if there is actually anything you would enjoy anymore. This episode had Ani, great space scenes, Thrawn Scheming, Ezra being Ezra, a few cool duels/battles, threepio coming in to save the day, and somehow it's a boring episode? What will it take? If this is a bad show, then I don't know anymore man. This level of negativity makes me wonder if you would rather not have any new Star Wars content anymore. Hating on Mando, on Kenobi and now on this? Come on, man.
Same. How was This Episode bad? I genuinely don't understand.
I'm glad I'm not alone.
Why haven't we seen Zeb in this series yet?
Because the CGI would be costly, and they spent plenty already with the big space action scenes. He’ll probably show up in the end to greet Ezra
Because this show is too cheap
Another good episode, love it. Episode wasnt boring at all unlike you are sad
You are confirming you are not the best authority on Star Wars. This was one of the best episodes.
"Use some of that Skywalker flying skill". Ashoka : You mean crashing? 😂
Goddamn it Ezra if you don’t take your lightsaber back..
Watching baylon and ahsoka fight is like watching a Templar knight fight a samurai.
I thought the same too! Turns out that to beat Ahsoka is by overwhelming herb with brute strength. Plus Baylan's handling of his lightsaber is similar on how one handles a medieval battle sword mixed with some Zweihander techniques
@@primecoconut4204 Makes sense all his sword handling in "ROME" as a legionnaire, muscle memory style, someone has said power hits like he is using is exhausting to defend against even for a force user. Physical strength combined with a force boost with each hit.
@@ProffesorBlue oh yeah I forgot that Ray was part of the cast in HBO's Rome! He was so young back then, and yeah, it does make sense that he has that muscle memory
Yeah idk what to even say about your last couple of takes. That’s crazy, You could atleast admit it was a solid episode but calling it boring ngl just sounds like your hating at this point.
I liked the episiode I gave it an 8.5 outta ten. But still felt like it was pretty boring compared to the rest of the series. Im the black sheep of my group tho..
@@mattpoirier9986 that’s the thing, it was a solid episode. 8.5 is reasonable, not saying it was the best episode but it was still a pretty good one. I watched his recap video and agreed on some of his points, especially him saying this was the episode before the season finale, then yeah I can see where he was coming from. But compared to boba Fetts and kenobi series, this episode alone was probably better than anything those series released. I’m a thrawn fan, so I personally liked this episode. And when I rewatched this episode I felt like Ashoka was finally showing some emotion when she was discussing about anakin with the training videos. Honestly, it seemed like she was kind of acting like anakin afterwards, which I liked. Those two points alone, is all I needed to like this episode, everything else was the cherry on top. But I respect 8.5, I would even respect a 7. But him giving it a 6-6.5 just seems weird to me. but aye, everyone is entitled to their opinion, just shocked he ranked it so low.
It seems like Theory tends to be on his period during some of these watch parties, there were so many neat details in this episode that you could visibly see him sleeping on, it’s hilarious how out of touch he is😂
man i don't quite understand SWT anymore lol... I want to keep watching and liking his stuff but idk something has changed. It's almost like he has an army of people who only think the same as him. like i usually tune into the watch party AFTER the episode just to see what people think and everyone was just giving the exact same answer as swt but i'm looking in the comments of this video and see nothing but love for the episode!
Tell em to bring out the Anakin recordings!
Mando season 2 was the peak.
Quality has been dropping since then.
He literally told u why he dosen't need the lightsaber. What part of "the force is my ally" is hard to understand. It takes more than a ligjtsaber to b a Jedi
Seeing 3po again almost made me happier than seeing Anakin.
This was a good episode. Unfortunately Theory is becoming a hater.
agreed.
lol did this guy watch rebels with a blindfold and earplugs on?
theory when the episode is not exactly what he predicted: 😠😡”this is mid so bad”
At this point, I’m almost 100% sure the thing Baylan is looking for is an entrance to the World between Worlds so he can go back in time up to the origin of the Force. It would be consistent with his break the cycle speech, explain why he doesn’t care if Shin dies since the past will be changed, and coherent with the announcement they made a the Star Wars convention with the origin of the force project in the timeline of production.
Note that it would serve Ahsoka as well: the whales are gone, there is no way they are going to use the hyperdrive ring to go back, and Thrawn heavily insisted on Ahsoka needing TIME. If there is an entrance to the WbywW, they can use it to switch back to Galaxy One.
Its getting more and more obvious SWT just wants action and prequel references.
Nick Guillard is probably a senior citizen and not up to the task.
I’ve always thought if you were good enough with the force you shouldn’t need a lightsaber. But yeah it would have been cool to see it lol
Theory hating Ezra for no reason is getting kind if old.
Dave treated Ezra just like Rian treated Luke in TLJ- but he still uses the force. Not letting him take his lightsaber back and absolutely destroy Shin is just another example of Disney not giving fans what they want.
You know he's going to get there eventually
Filoni did give more respect to Ezra here than Rian Johnson did to Luke in the sequels because Filoni created Ezra. He is the showrunner of both Clone Wars and Rebels.
So the show ends with thrawn's return which then leads to the movies?
Boring??? This was a very good eposode. Cant wait for next week!!
theory only gets excited over big cameos and fan service. and he often changes his opinion if it doesn’t fit the majority of the fanbase.

Never really thought about it till this episode that the senator is a imperial spy. Could be wrong and he’s just a stick in the mud jerk, but I would feel superior if I called it and the senator is pulling a MCU Hydra within SHIELD. Also, I love how Ezra’s dialogue and fight is a lot like in Rebels.
I really like that theory. However, I don't personally think we need that. The aim of this section of the show is to show how incompetent the new Republic is, and this dude perfectly shows that. This is prob ho the first order became as powerful as they did. Even if you don't like the sequels it's still cannon, and I'd be intrested to see how snoke/ palpatine rised to power (again). That might be the most interesting thing about the sequels.
Hearing ventress name brought up wAs great , I want them to bring her back as she’s linked to the dathomir witches and they could bring her back from the dead or even do a savage again - them killing her off screen was very bad
I actually enjoyed this episode, it felt much like Rebels. Also I really don’t understand this man honestly and his bipolar opinions..
Honestly, this episode was dope, yeah it wasn’t as fan servicy as the past couple eps but seeing the reunion, Ezra using the force in hand to hand combat, Baylan Vs ahsoka, it was all dope and different. People kept saying L Ezra on stream bc he wasn’t using a saber but don’t realize Ezra hasn’t seen nor used a saber in years, prob had to train in a whole different way to the point that he doesn’t need one. I def think this is a perf setup for the finale and I’m noticing thrown prob might win due to the fact that mando movie gon need a big villain
🎉🎉

The best part about this episode was Ezra taking a piss out of Sabine for being Ahsoka's padawan. That's how all of us feel. Like wtf.

Just seeing chat spamming 'L Episode" for the entirety of the watch party before its even over just sums up the Star Wars fandom. :/
