I would like to build 2 floorstanding speakers soon, which are very compact and each build 2 of the Dayton's as bass-midrange speakers, but I'm not sure whether they are suitable for it.
Those drivers would work great for that. They are great for the price. They sell out quickly though. Just use a crossover and a tweeter. There are many great build guilds using those drivers on RUclips that would probably be helpful. If you want to spend a little more for better drivers, you could go with the Dayton audio ND-105 drivers. Hope this helps!
Thanks for checking out my vids. Yea it’s so satisfying to watch! see my other Dayton audio speaker excursion video. It’s personally one of my favorites!
Nice video, thanks! I have Edifier R1280DB speakers which have the exact same size woofer, I wonder if changing them for these Dayton woofers will enhance the sound? What do you think? They both have 55Hz at the low end. These Dayton ones look nicer.
Thanks for watching. You could upgrade to Dayton speakers but there probably wouldn’t be much of a difference in terms of sound. The existing drivers and the Dayton ones are very similar.
I haven’t spoken with them since my last few comments about how they where but I’m sure they are doing good. Also thanks, I really enjoy making videos like this.
Those are really nice subwoofers
Good stuffs
Yes
I love these drivers they are very cool 👍
They are definitely great drivers for their price!

Esos son subwoofer?
What are the cable things you hook em’ up to called?
I made them myself. I used a long speaker wire and soldered them to short wires that already had spade terminals attached.
@@BGTech1 wow I can’t believe you replied that fast but thanks!

This test was using a low-pass filter

What kind of amp do you have
@@BGTech1 I don’t have one, but I’ll send a link to one I’d get
@@CodTypist ok
@@BGTech1 RUclips is not letting me send a link
@@BGTech1 so I will tell you the exact description
They are making mechanical noises 😢
This happens sometimes when you push the driver to its limit in free air. It doesn’t necessarily means it’s a bad or poor quality speaker.
@@BGTech1 can I use this in tweeter woofer tweeter config ? Or a fullrange woofer fullrange
Yea that would work good. These drivers are pretty versatile.
