Hello, I’m a electronics engineering student from Michigan has a love of electronics, engineering, building, and creating videos. My goal with this channel is to shed light on the incredible hidden world of electronics engineering behind the tech that makes up our modern world and to inspire others to become curious and explore similar fields in engineering.

DLP Rear Projection TV Teardown + Analysis & How It Works

Opening a rare and expensive DLP tv to look at its parts and investigate how it works. This is one of the most sophisticated TVs I've ever taken apart. There is an insane amount of complex video processing going on. I can't even imagine the software side of things. Each one of the videos processing chips must be running a TON of code, hence the huge amount of Dram. This tv had a MSRP of $4,700 ...

My ps3 after hen and me boosting the fans to 100%
Hola le podré conectar otra bocina a esta tv
Yes it is possible. This tv provides a RCA low-level Audio output. (The rightmost red and white connector on the black panel) Use a RCA audio cable to connect an amplifier and speakers.
Kit zeon..
At the start it sounded like thunderbolt siren
use that as an airplane fan
Maybe in a future project
Yeah "fairly new TV not to old" that is fucking bullshit that is not new at all that TV is old as fuck and you saying "fairly new"
Sounds like jet engine:❌ Sounds like a siren:✅
Plz tell me how to use this fan i dont know how to connect with charger or other electric wire
nice thunderbolt siren
What it sounds like ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
@bgtech1 Hi, my LG 55EC930V-ZA TV stopped working. When you turn it on the red stand by light flickers and nothing happens. My local TV repair guy said they replaced the power supply and it didn't fix it so my question is, if it's not the power, which of the parts is most likely to be the problem. Ideally, I need a part number because some parts are available on ebay but I don't want to buy the wrong part. Thanks so much.
Usually the light flashing will give you some kind of error code that will help pinpoint the problem
Stupid question: could I possibly mount these on my sim cockpit and somehow bind them with the throttle input for the F-16 in DCS? Stupid, yes, but also more immersive
This is a neat idea! You could probably figure something out. I’d guess you would need an arduino to grab the throttle data and control an H-bridge to power the fans. I’d have to look at the datasheet for those fans again but I believe there is a chance they can just be controlled with a PWM signal instead of changing the voltage.
@@BGTech1 I’ll look into it from the DCS end to see if there’s something in the .lua files that can be exported. I’m already adding a Dayton BST-1 to give me feedback for when the boards (speed brakes) are out. Tend to do that quite often, hence the call sign “Lumber”.
Beautiful bird
Definitely! If your really into the engineering side of this aircraft, I suggest you watch a video called 727 design deep dive. It’s very interesting.
Thats a nice woofer on the first speaker. What brand is it? And is it still working?
The big one? That’s a Sony woofer from a projection tv, and it’s still working and I’m going to keep it that way.
Why people using normal fans when we have so.ething like this who get 90% off electricity cost then normal one
They are extremely loud. It’s super unnecessary for a regular pc
@@BGTech1 I expect that but if fan like this has about 3.4amper, it can run from 12v 2A but slower?
No, it will not run without the required amperage. These fans run on constant voltage and use a special PDM signal to control speed
@@BGTech1 thx about 4amper is a lot for a fan like that
@MikeleKonstantyFiedorowiczIV It is, that’s why it’s performance is insane
Sierra Uniform November Oscar November, Ready For Takeoff.
Aka Registration SUNON
Which speaker came from the iPhone?
sound more like a mechanical siren
"Runway clear, ready for take off."
😂
So that what ps4s use
Non efficient
sounds like TC78 blowing 💀
I need to find one.
I really really need this kind of exhaust's for smoke What is the RPM of the fan
Your better off getting a bigger one instead of a whole bunch of little ones.
The perfect fan i'm searching for Plzz plzzz boss reply to me back I need this type of fan for my poultry brooding Plzzz respond
its Delta server fan, try to find used in internet. Or use google lens
What is the RPM of this fan......? Dc volts Watt Amp's.....?
This fan would be better than many small ones. It’s model TFC1212DE and it uses 12v at 4 amps. You can find them on eBay.
10:30 They call this chip a “jungle chip”. It’s basically an amalgamation of different circuits used for Various crt functions.
Can we run this for 12 hours continuously........? & How to connect this to AC to DC controller.....? Plz reply to me it is very helpful to me
Yes they can run continually. These fans use 12DC
@@BGTech1 how to run this dc fans Actually I want to use 5 fan at same time in my poultry for like smoke exhaust fan I can I connect this to my AC current do I need a converter Can you suggest me the best converter for 5 fans of this
@@sannithraoaravelly9695 You Will want to get a 12v DC switching power supply with at least 8 amps of current capacity to covert your AC house power.
Sounds like Boeing 747 engine
What does having 3 fans in a line do for performance
I guess you will just get 3 times the airflow and power draw
I have the speakers only
And make them sound even more annoying
Finally a fan for my pc.
Make sure you strap it down first! It will take off like a plane
@@BGTech1 I know. I have a 24 volt 120 mm server fan and isn't enough.
Why sound like federal signal thunderbolt 1000t
Sounds like a jet engine
Thank you for choosing Sunon Airlines. Enjoy your flight. ✈️🌍
fr
Welcome to server airlines
どこで売っていますか?
My pc fan is sound like that too😂😂😂
why are there 2 props on each side
These fans are in a contra-rotating push-pull configuration
Hola una pregunta yo tengo una de esas se ve muy bien apenas limpie los proyectores y se ve muy clarito pero se ven los colores un poko separados como puedo arreglar
Ésa es una cuestión de convergencia. Es necesario ajustar la convergencia.
Hello, i recently disassembled a rear crt projection tv similar to this one, i kept the lenses from the projectors, the frensel lenses and the mirror inside. I was wondering if any of those parts could be toxic or irradiated. It might be a dumb question but those crts produce radiation from x-rays right? If that's so wouldn't that make the other parts slightly radioactive? Is it safe to keep the mirror as a simple wall mirror? Also any advice as to do with the lenses? They seem only good as magnifying glass i tought about making a telescope but they dont seem good enough for that. Thanks for he help
Hi, There is no need to worry about radiation. While CRTs do give off some X-ray radiation when in operation, the radiation isn’t nearly powerful enough to irradiate other nearby objects or people. It is perfectly safe to keep or repurpose parts from the tv. I haven’t found a good use for the tree lens assembly mounted to the CRTs, but they do act a lot like a standard magnifying glass. I believe each assembly has two or possibly more different lens inside which might be interesting for experiments.
@@BGTech1 Thanks for the quick answer, that puts my mind at ease.
is no one gonna talk about the socialblade tags?
Wait what?
Where?
@@BGTech1 get the social blade extension and open the video in a new tab
Excellent teardown video! I especially liked the detailed review of each component, and the explanation of the colorwheel. Nice job! ~
Thanks so much for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed my video.
