Super interesting! I know trade shows are infrequent but this is excellent, unique content. The down-and-dirty dealing you feature is something the RUclips watch space is missing. Love it
I have been watching all sort of watch videos for several years. However, nobody goes into investment detail like Roman Sharf. I think we are all fed up with Watch RUclipsrs mentioning the same old Batman, Hulk, and the ceramic Daytona for a long time. It is refreshing to see a very knowledgable guy like Roman sharing his knowledge here for us. Now, this has become my go-to watch channel. Well done Roman.
would love to see more trade shows, its amazing for us watch enthusiast to see that many watchs sit in one room! although some of the watchs the price tag sounds no dffierent than what they ask for client lol
Roman, thanks for taking us on this ride from the Soviet era Russian restaurant (food & vodka looked amazing) to how things work at the show, If you could hang out with a dealer there are some great buys to be had at all prices ranges. Then there is Bob, such an awesome character & the watches he let you take pics of were stunning.. There is a reason you've got the best watch related youtube channel & tell me how many guys are comfortable enough in their own skin to actually show the consumer what you pay for certain pieces...Long reply but just wanted again to thank you for letting us in on this crazy ride!
The King Bobby is a super cool guy. To my Brit ears he sounds and even looks like Dennis Hopper. Great characters in the watch game. And those pieces he wears, man that’s top of the money tree!
Awesome New York City Watches Trade Show. Buying and selling watches is a good way to make a living. The vintage gold Rolex Chronograph and the vintage Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar is a good way to close the video. The Brooklyn Marriott room is beautiful and has a cool big screen TV.
WOW , What an eye opener , you have one of the best jobs in the world Roman , Great video , great insight , i think your channel will grow and grow , Always different and interesting content.
My friend who grew up during the USSR days always kinda laughs when a russian restaurant opens up and tries to be trendy. They were austere times and the luxury things were western. But it's also interesting that some common item that she'd consider bar food or comfort food is considered exciting to us.
Hi Roman! This was one of the most interesting videos that you've done (at least for me). Hearing how you evaluate deal ROI and negotiate was fascinating. Can you please talk about how you divide responsibilities across your team? Do you have different sales people by division (watch, jewelry), brands, region, or some other role/responsibility breakdown?
been backtracking your uploads since your first market update with TPG, NICO, Watch Eric and the guys, man you deserve more than 50k subs with all that watch content, all others are just entertainment, you sir are packed, one of these days I wouldn’t be surprised if you get 1Mil subs
Where do buy those plastic zip bags where you put them watches in?? Can't find them online... so if anybody knows.. Let me know!! @ 12:20 I need those bags
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Thanks so much for this insight. No other dealer is open like that. How many hands did you shake in total?😁 Great stuff. Thanks Roman.
I really enjoyed watching this video. This is a whole new world to me. I never knew people paid that kind of money for watches ! Never heard of most of those brands.
This reminds me of all the jewelry marks and wholesale shops in downtown Los Angeles when I live there. Everybody competing and fighting over everybody else's business and half of that s*** is fake as hell. It seems like there's a whole bunch of dealers trying to sell the other dealers or a bunch of people just walking around window shopping. I could be wrong but that's how it looks
I'm very new to learning about wattch trading and buying. This is my 3rd video so far. First one actually watching a trade show which is very cool. I'm just curious why all of these very expensive timepieces do not have boxes???
Great Video. Especially the talk with Bob Maron. But if he said "it feels like 2006", I would be a bit worry since the Down Jones is at its peak again...time will tell.
I keep thinking “what a sweet gig to have” but the pressure of getting great deals and making sure your going to be able to get a good return or not have to sit on this merch for awhile has got to be a heavy burden! But that was a great video. Thanks for the insight!
Sometimes it can be Ray to be honest especially when I get into the 100k plus watch range, but at the end it all averages out and as long as you learn from your mistakes its a ll good!
Thank you for the insight Roman! When you come back to HK, can I come meet you and help you out at a trade show? Always want to learn more about the watch market
That factory rainbow Rolex are going for 300k plus now. And the double tourbillion Corum if it’s an admiral cup, he paid 26k they are going for 69k with factory diamonds, his had not stones so idk but still great come ups.
Hey, did you pick up any IWC Watches? I saw you looking at them. I have the IWC Big Pilot Limited Edition (5026-18) Perpetual Calendar ~ Honestly & Easily one of the best watches I own. Absolutely perfect craftsmanship, form & function! Good luck!
Panerai has bottomed out, the craze is over! The over &100k market isn’t that hot right now. The sweet spot is at 5-12k USD on preowned pieces.SS Rolex always Has a constant, healthy demand!
GREAT Episode. Thank you. i LOOOOOVE the Brick (@14:08) . can't believe it's 48.5K complete .!! (i thought it's about 70 K). hey i'm not complaining.. i'll take it for that price :0)))) though. wish i had the dough for it.
Nice view of the shows and first time I've seen you rock Givenchy or Fashion brands. I suppose you know the prices of those watches of what's good and what's not like the back of your hand.
Great video. I recently took a liking to watches (last 2 years) alot of beautiful watches there. My favorite that I've seen besides rose gold president, is the RM 68-01
Subscribed. Great video, love the who vibe, looks pretty causal and quite “rough” in there. My question, where do they get these watches from? Are there new/used? Seems like there’s little respect for the watches, in terms of handling them, I guess it all business.
That doesn't look to be a 2499, rather a 1518. Maybe I'm wrong but the main difference between the two is the subdial for the date indication with the moonphase. again I've never seen a 2499 with the 1518 date subdial. Ohter than that great video, fantastic 1526, in my opinion best perpetual calendar display ever, alongside with the 2497, 3448 and 3449 and 3450💪
between Us ... that s ridiculous price market ! Even like too watch ur video all time .. by the way the last GUY ( THE KING CAP ) has amazing vintage collection , he got my intention with ROLEX CHRONO GOLD and PATEK moonphase , date , chrono . love it .... try to make some tvideo with vintage watch , plzzz and not bling bling watch with DIAMS . lool

My friend who grew up during the USSR days always kinda laughs when a russian restaurant opens up and tries to be trendy. They were austere times and the luxury things were western. Thanks Kuba
This was fantastic
Thanks
The LA vintage guy always makes me feel smarter after listening to him.
Great Video. Especially the talk with Bob Maron. But if he said "it feels like 2006", I would be a bit worry since the Down Jones is at its peak again...time will tell.
Good Point!
Crazy how COVID hit just like the crash. The market is doing well though.
Waves a watch like a sausage "Million and a half bucks guys.. there you have it" ... Chucks it away "wait wait what is that?"
Love it
:-)
I gotta agree that gold pre-daytona is unbelievable.

Roman what's the most you've ever earned on a watch and what the biggest loss you've ever had?? Love the vids
Hi Roman, great video as always! this may sound stupid but do the dealers post boxes out at a later date or do they have them at the show?
Yes of course it would be impossible to bring all the boxes with us
I would do a lot to go there and take a look at these watches. It is just a dream.
Another great vid thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching Angelo
Great video brother, the food looks amazing, may I ask you what editing software do you use?
Premier
