My favourite Bowie song. Masterpiece. Lyrics. Composition. Seal covers beautifully. I remember that footage of them standing together enjoying George Michael covering Freddie Mercury - lot of talent in the room.
To cover a song like this takes some balls knowing that the original is a stand alone masterpiece, but Seal was nothing short of amazing, and I am sure that David who was still with us at this point time thought so too!

This is still a fair cover - but I kind of agree with you. That song of Bowie has so many different tone changes that he is the only one perfectly mastering these variations.
Makes sense he'd cover this, because Seals was Iman's first husband. Have an adult daughter together, too- she looks JUST like Seals. He was always on good terms with Iman, even after the bitter, contested divorce. Anyway, great version here. Seals can really wail!
