Lyrics:
Rebel Rebel, you've torn your dress
Rebel Rebel, your face is a mess
Rebel Rebel, how could they know?
Hot tramp, I love you so

"But officer, Bowie's "Rebel Rebel" came on! What, you expected me to slow down?"
The planet is billions of years old and the universe is older still. Trillions of people have existed before us and trillions will continue to exist long after we are gone. So let's count ourselves lucky that we lived at the same time as this wonderful man.
Very nice sentiment, but I doubt Trillions of people have existed, and it's kinda likely out species may destroy the planet if we're not careful hahaha
Thank you I'll take my "Killjoy" Medal at the Desk ;)
Actually it's only several thousand years old which is what the actual scientific evidence supports. You've bought in to the atheist brainwashing.
Amen
Well said man. Hats off to you
👌💙
I was 14 when i saw this concert. My first and last time seeing Bowie live. I went absolutely WILD when he came on.....one of the best moments of my life! ....i'll miss the sexy bastard....*sniff*
Loved his tiocfidh ár lá at the end haha
His what now? I'm sorry, i don't read/understand gaelic
:)
A slogan used by Irish nationalists meaning 'our day will come'. Fitting after he sang the song 'rebel rebel'.
ah okay, thank you :)
Leigh-Ann H no problem :)
I was always amazed how he never lost his voice thru the years. Long live David Bowie in our minds
Miss him and Eddie Vanhalen
1974
@@spkanavathat wasn't his best years for his voice but he recoverd a lot after low, in the isolar II tour his voice was the perfect mix of his future voice and his young one for me at least
He didn't die, he just went home
Are you stupid?
He is dead idiot
+Riya sangha He means David Bowie is in heaven... meaning he is an Angel
***** Either way I was just saying what I believe mortoallegro meant.
I'd even do the full splits for 10 mins to see him
+Kyyro Incorrect. Obviously you don't know much at all about Bowie. You do seem really interested in making someone an atheist, even if they're not. Bowie was too smart to call himself an atheist. He was much more broader in outlook than people who call themselves atheists seem to be. Why don't you do some research before speaking for other people.
How can a human be this f'in cool??? Bowie set the bar way to high. Love him
Tony Iommi, Lemmy, Halford, Dio were even cooler
@@Annihilation_0f_The_Wicked9066
Jeff Beck, Bowie, Mick Ronson, Jimi, Plant, Page, Carlos and Clapton will always be the *coolest!*
@@Mark-lq3sb You don't know any of those, right :D
@@Annihilation_0f_The_Wicked9066
Know personally? Of course not. I've been to Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton concerts. FYI, I was born in the 1950s.
God damn, he was such a rock star. It's a shame I never got to see him live. Rest easy David, you are missed!
Amen!
I saw him live three times, doesn't change missing him so much, but brilliant experiences just to be in the same 'room' as him. I adore him
I saw him in SF 1975...he came on smoking cigarettes and was the epitome of cool...I was high when I came in and then...he and his magnificent band (with Mick Ronson) took me higher
I was so lucky to have seen him twice. Miss him 😢.
I was very fortunate to see him at MSG but, I was only 14. Still remember the vibes
Thank you David. Enjoy the universe
Yes, thank you David! Enjoy the Universe.
❤🌺
Love,love,love,love,love 💞💞💞💞💘💘💔😭
He is the only artist, musician, performer that never looked past it. He changed his style to suit his age. A genius in all respects. I love him as much now as I did 45 years ago
David Bowie arrived 1/8/1947 - BlackStar arrived 1/10/2016
Isn't it strange hoe mentioned how strange it is that when there is someone you've never met before passes, you can still feel such a loss. ….David stayed up with me many a lonely night over the last 45 years - making my bad days better - my nights brighter, all while making me a better musician. ...What a talent. - What a career. - What a loss. - What a soul and thank you for sharing it and thanks for touching mine. -J.D.Gragg
We all know there is a footprint on the Moon - now we know there is one on Mars, David Bowie's.
YOUR MILLIONS OF FANS WILL MISS YOU DAVID BOWIE..WE LOVE YOU.
Yes, well said, 😢
ratter531 Hundreds of millions 😢
@@charlieoneillstrikesagain8325 Very True ,Charlie, Thank You for a comment I wrote 3 years ago
ratter531 It’s ok Ratter :)
ratter531 No, thank you. Thank you for posting this, what I can only call, beautiful comment for us to enjoy. I’d just like to say that I am eternally grateful. Thank you UwU
Bowie looked so happy after he got clean and sober.
I love the way he is in silhouette until the chorus. The man knows how to make an entrance. Love him!
When I feel down, lack energy, don't wanna get on my feet, this version never fails to pick me up and keep me dancing.
Same here! This song along with "Under The God" sang by him in the band Tin Machine have been stuck in my head the last 3 days of stress! Having been blessed to meet him, makes me miss him so much. A great man gone too soon.
1974
He looks like he's having so much fun here, shame this was his last tour, and would retire from performing after his heart attack. We miss you still David!!
Who all really wishes that our David was still here?
Besides me❤️
Me
I love how in every song he ever sings, he always isn't scared to be who he wants to be, and he is unique, and that's what makes each of his songs special.
Éternel BOWIE
It's fantastic the way Bowie reinvented this song. I've seen this reinvented version a number of times, but this particular video is the best I reckon.
He was so handsome and polished during this period. RIP David!!!!
My 3-yr-old told me this is his favorite song. Not Baby Shark, not any nursery song, but this one, Rebel Rebel. And each time I played this song in my car or in the living room, he would ask me to play it again when the song ended. He just can't stop dancing when the melody is banging. I'm very proud of his taste of music.
Nice!
Excellent parenting! Your little son will be a connoisseur of great music!
There still hope un future
You should be proud, your kid's a legend !!!!!
kid has excellent taste
R.I.P David Bowie.
+SeaBassVamp Ich bin mit seiner Musik aufgewachsen...R:I:P
***** Sorrow & Sadness. RIP David. Yes.
Helmut Angermayr My Hero, gone..tears..
+SeaBassVamp fuck you
+Alex Stout Sorry, but you are not my type!
I was fortunate to see him live twice. Will never forget the experience. Absolute musical genius. His star still shines bright.
Most nostalgic song of which I have no nostalgic memory. This is the magic of this song and this man!
For all his "weirdness," Bowie always had a very down-to-Earth persona to him. I will miss him dearly.
As Conan O'Brian said.....He was a lovely guy.
I’m 13, I have a huge passion for “old” music. David Bowie will always and forever be the best glam rocker out there. Rest in piece man! Would’ve loved to see you on stage rockin out.
I would do anything for the chance to see Bowie live! Ah I can dream
As would I....sheer genius.
LMAO, now none of you can.
+alexander robertson You're an idiot,
+Oli Raison how is he an idiot? he's right no one can go see him live anymore because he's dead. but he is stupid for laughing.😢
+Mousie Hatter Yes, he's an idiot for finding someone's death amusing. You don't think that's crass and stupid?
He was the original Rebel, Rebel and he's watching over us all. A most remarkable man, singer, actor, writer, father, husband in truth the original and only Chameleon!!! Love you forever, Major Tom!!!! R. I. P. Ziggy Stardust!!!!
Just watching this whole concert on UK TV . He was 56 here, (my age now) he looks early 40's, slim, cool and hot at the same time, gorgeous, fit as a fiddle. I'm not going to comment on the music, no need, adored him and his music for 46 years.
RIP Bowie. Saddest thing is not to see you on stage like this ever again. Send my love to the major
Thank you for the music, Mr. Bowie.
Gail Ann Dorsey has the voice of an Angel. I’ve always loved Bowie and will always miss his physical presence.
And she's a great bass player!
@@robertcatesby8420 She’s everything!
We all miss this musical genius. Lovely version.
RIP BIGGEST LEGEND THIS INDUSTRY HAS EVER SEEN. One doesn't simply copy Bowie. Cannot copy uniqueness. There's no impression to it.
What a performer, what a man, the superb David Bowie, I saw the reality tour at bham nec , sadly, the only time I saw David perform live , but what an experience, no longer with us but never will he be forgotten !! God bless you David !!
Hot Bowie, *I love you so* ❤🌠
Legendary musician David Bowie.totally.,Amazing....was and remains
David Bowie is dead but not the spirit that resides within. Love this performance. Long live Starman!
Sad and Shocked aren't the words that even begin to describe how I feel now. R.I.P Ziggy/Starman. There will never be an another Bowie.
In 1974, not even a teenager, I listened to this music... how lucky! David Bowie is part of my life. I love him.
Once a rebel, always a rebel
R.I.P Bowie
A month later and it's still hard to listen to David's music without crying.
A half a year later and the same problem ;_;
Still have that problem here.
same here.
Now also, it's like that when it' s a real great artist, Bowie is such more than a singer
Around nine months later and still. I never got the chance to see Bowie live..
He was at same time always different and always himself. A true artist like Picasso.
Still can't believe I won't see him again. From first time at the Glasgow Apollo in the 70's until the Reality tour. But the music lives on. RIP
Bowie was my youth.. a Blackstar..............now a supernova .. fly the solar winds Thin White Duke we will miss you
We love you David. I can't think of many artists that can do the kind of performance you did here. Utterly enthralling and entertaining. You were one of a kind.
This is one of those tunes that will be here 5000 10000 yrs. It will always be around. I'm 72 and I love this song and love David Bowie! RIP brother!
The ultimate rock n roll song....sheer perfection.
R.I.P David..
Music, breakfast of 🏆 champions. You'll live forever genius....Thankyou RIP. 😊
DAVID BOWIE ,AND THE SONG REBEL REBEL ,WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC SONG FROM AN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT WORLDWIDE PERFORMER , THANKYOU SO VERY MUCH DAVID ,ALL MY VER BEST TO YOU , Gareth
I still miss him.
I was so lucky that I was at this show in Dublin..2 hours of my life that will stay with me until the day I die...Nothing will ever compare to this mans talent
Been in a Dublin Trinity College
Bono ,and Eve ,in person
Did not recognize Eve ,Bono ofcourse ,Just a normal guy ,no glasservice, nice suit
1974
R.I.P. David. An innovator, a genius and a helluva nice guy. Such sadness.
What an Icon. His was what the 60s and 70s was. Revolutionary and it still rocks and still means something❤
This video is how I'll remember David. Smiling & having a great time with the crowd.
You will be forever a rebellious soul!!!!
Saw this show in St. Louis... married the girl who took me to it. Still married later. Great show. We're all poorer for his demise. We were all poorer for his retirement from touring as he was an electric performer. Will miss him.
+Max Harris "Poorer for his demise". . .maybe. I prefer to think of it as "richer that he left us with so much good music and memories". We all face the inevitable but David Bowie's music will survive for centuries to come. I'm missing him too. Was fortunate to have seen him four times. The Glass Onion tour was my fav. Good times.
+kilts4u2 idk man, the Beatles haven't even been one century. but let's see
We will all miss him incredibly. I have been watching a lot of his videos and reading through the comments wnd a suddenly do not feel so foolish about still getting a little emotional about this man here in 2019. The starman really did blow our minds and we certainly are poorer for his demise. We will not see his like again.
But, richer, All the same!
Ziggy and The Spiders from Mars got me through my horrible high school
Ditto
1972 to 1977 🤓
I so miss him. He taught me how a sexy man was and how that man may present himself in all occasions .....
Yes he did. Gorgeous . Thank You David.
In an entertainment world of clones, David Bowie was a true original, one cool dude. Mad to think he was nearly 60 here, so much youthful energy here. Thanks for the music, Mr Bowie. Rock in Heaven, man.
David bowie in my heart forever ... 💗💗💗
Love the instruments in this song! Awesome throw back!❤
I am so proud!!!! My 17 year old son will be playing this for his high school talent show with his band. He plays lead guitar and sings. Good taste in music he has!!
Haven't you got a footage performance?
This "artist" is responsible for soooo many good feelings!
David Bowie a su évoluer avec le temps et a conquis toutes les générations encore..
He always varied the vocals and/or delivery so you weren't just hearing exactly what he recorded. What a showman.
Wow!
What a beautiful Man!
Truly one of the Greats of Music.
I miss him.
Mnogo dobra live verzija.....imam dvd sa ovim koncertom i jebeno je dooooobar......Bowie legenda
Bowie was the MAN who Fell from the sky dont you know this ???and he went back there!!! HE is the starman
RIP gorgeous, creative genius of a man. Hard to believe that creative brain and soul will be resting. Love you David Jones. x
This and Jean Genie are my favorite Bowie tunes along with all of Ziggy Stardust! Implanted in my memory for over 50 yrs, good God Ya'll!!
Ashes to Ashes
Of all the "celebrity" deaths, one hurt deep to my soul. Mr. David Bowie. Just a Detroit punk that jumped the silent cars sleeping at the traffic lights.
I saw Bowie on the A Reality Tour...great artist and GREAT Performer. R.I.P. David
A world without David Bowie.. Well..thats no world at all.
Amen. It most certainly has gone to shit.
You love dancing and you look divine...kewl, still loving this in northern Manitoba Canada 2024
The best live performer ever.
This was an incredible concert. I've been a Bowie fan for decades and jumped on the chance to see him during The Reality Tour. It was everything I expected and more. Gone to soon...
I was very fortunate to see David in 1974 as a teen at the Capital Centre, MD. Wow!
"Hot Tramp I Love You So".....Classic Rock Lyrics That Will Live Forever.....Rebel Rebel.....
The Late Great Legendary David Bowie. Still hard to believe he’s not with us anymore. I hope Aman writes his memoir one day for all his fans to enjoy. He was so humble with a wicked sense of humor💔
Then I saw BOWIE and nothing was ever the same again.
It was just like this, except he was WAY cooler and he was playing a guitar when they opened with this song. His voice sounds so much smoother live. And he seemed like a really nice person. Who then happened to pick up every instrument and play it. Gosh. I was lucky enough to see him play in New Zealand 2003? I think?
Ahh yeah, the Wellington concert when it rained most of the time. I was only semi-sad I missed it, due to the bad weather - but now in hindsight I regret it, as seems at least 90% likely that he'll never play live again, at least not a stadium venue or tour anyway.
Never the likes again. RIP David.
RIP David Bowie...........you will be sadly missed. Thank you for your talented gift of music and dedication:)
There will never ever be another Bowie. Love you
Wow, look at his expression. Seemed to be enjoying this song. Clearly the crowd was enjoying it. Sad day...
This song is my song. I remember when I listened this for first time. I was a child when I met him and I listened this. I was only five years. Hey baby, thanks for all. You are my hero. You are my example abaut talent.
David Bowie and Freddie Mercury were the two greatest showman of all time they will never be duplicated
He looked truly happy to be there, wherever there is. Good times.
Takes my breath away
Saw David Bowie live 17 Times. Last time in a club with Tin Machine..^1 years old and when I hear his music am 18 AGAIN!!!
Love him and this just as much now as I did when I was teen. No one will ever come close to this level of AWESOME. Bowie left a timeless and most unique imprint--he will be forevermore loved and missed : (
Thank you David Bowie. Grateful to have lived when you did. Long live all the artists and freaky people.
I’m 20 years old, I discovered Bowie years ago through Starman. Now I am saddened by the fact that I will never get to see him perform.
I would have been losing my shit if i was in that audience. SO COOL 🤩
The Lights go up - and he's just as pleased to see you as you are seeing him - Immortal
saw him the same year in ottawa canada, simply the best concert ever. later we went to woodstock ny and a young lady told us a story how when she worked at an ice cream parlor , looked up and guess who was ordering , yep him . wow
Happy 40th Anniversary Rebel Rebel.......Totally Awesome Rendition.............
Doctor Garbonzo ねす
this live version if my favourite of this song. Just something about the way he performed it this night. It's perfection.
mum always blasted this when I was younger, saying one day I'd miss it. damn was she right!!
Can't believe it's been one year already.
Xam271 True... time flies
Xam271 me neither :'( Maybe it's the effect of technology but i can feel him is egveryday life things like fighting hard for my identity of even during pain or when i reflect on how stupid people are with their clichés and their inacceptance that's just injustified. This sad need they have to humiliate others to feel alive. I feel him glancing at me through the atmosphère and nodding.. I hope i am one of the people who "get" what he tries to sens us as a message through his songs. I love him maybe more than i ever will anyone because in my immediate surroundings i find nothing but brainless people. Thank you Ziggy... You are us and we are you.. even just for one day 😢
Xam271 3 years
Lost alot
Tom petty
Irreplaceable. In a world of dwarf stars, he was a beautiful supergiant star that went supernova. Since hypergiants burn out very early on (think Janis Joplin here), Bowie was definitely a supergiant. You will live forever, Blackstar.
How many times over how many years did I dream of seeing this myself some day. A dream never to come true.
God, I miss you David.
Fiona Skywalker in 2004 bowie was coming to austin tx just an hour and a half up the road from me. I had the money for tickets in my hands on four different occasions. In 2004 i was also a heroin addict. I shot that money into my arm on 4 different occasions. On jan 8th 2016 i was at my local cd exchange ready to purchase blackstar. They hadn't even opened the tote it came in. While listening that night i repeated the story as i had many times before, with an added statement tacked on to the end. "He didn't tour the next day album i hope he tours blackstar. If i never get to see him live i will never forgive myself". 2 days later he was dead.
