The planet is billions of years old and the universe is older still. Trillions of people have existed before us and trillions will continue to exist long after we are gone. So let's count ourselves lucky that we lived at the same time as this wonderful man.

    • @bobbill3594

Very nice sentiment, but I doubt Trillions of people have existed, and it's kinda likely out species may destroy the planet if we're not careful hahaha

+Kyyro Incorrect. Obviously you don't know much at all about Bowie. You do seem really interested in making someone an atheist, even if they're not. Bowie was too smart to call himself an atheist. He was much more broader in outlook than people who call themselves atheists seem to be. Why don't you do some research before speaking for other people.

David Bowie arrived 1/8/1947 - BlackStar arrived 1/10/2016
Isn't it strange hoe mentioned how strange it is that when there is someone you've never met before passes, you can still feel such a loss. ….David stayed up with me many a lonely night over the last 45 years - making my bad days better - my nights brighter, all while making me a better musician. ...What a talent. - What a career. - What a loss. - What a soul and thank you for sharing it and thanks for touching mine. -J.D.Gragg
We all know there is a footprint on the Moon - now we know there is one on Mars, David Bowie's.

My 3-yr-old told me this is his favorite song. Not Baby Shark, not any nursery song, but this one, Rebel Rebel. And each time I played this song in my car or in the living room, he would ask me to play it again when the song ended. He just can't stop dancing when the melody is banging. I'm very proud of his taste of music.

Of all the "celebrity" deaths, one hurt deep to my soul. Mr. David Bowie. Just a Detroit punk that jumped the silent cars sleeping at the traffic lights.

The Late Great Legendary David Bowie. Still hard to believe he’s not with us anymore. I hope Aman writes his memoir one day for all his fans to enjoy. He was so humble with a wicked sense of humor💔

Then I saw BOWIE and nothing was ever the same again.
It was just like this, except he was WAY cooler and he was playing a guitar when they opened with this song. His voice sounds so much smoother live. And he seemed like a really nice person. Who then happened to pick up every instrument and play it. Gosh. I was lucky enough to see him play in New Zealand 2003? I think?

Ahh yeah, the Wellington concert when it rained most of the time. I was only semi-sad I missed it, due to the bad weather - but now in hindsight I regret it, as seems at least 90% likely that he'll never play live again, at least not a stadium venue or tour anyway.

Xam271 me neither :'( Maybe it's the effect of technology but i can feel him is egveryday life things like fighting hard for my identity of even during pain or when i reflect on how stupid people are with their clichés and their inacceptance that's just injustified. This sad need they have to humiliate others to feel alive. I feel him glancing at me through the atmosphère and nodding.. I hope i am one of the people who "get" what he tries to sens us as a message through his songs. I love him maybe more than i ever will anyone because in my immediate surroundings i find nothing but brainless people. Thank you Ziggy... You are us and we are you.. even just for one day 😢

Irreplaceable. In a world of dwarf stars, he was a beautiful supergiant star that went supernova. Since hypergiants burn out very early on (think Janis Joplin here), Bowie was definitely a supergiant. You will live forever, Blackstar.

Fiona Skywalker in 2004 bowie was coming to austin tx just an hour and a half up the road from me. I had the money for tickets in my hands on four different occasions. In 2004 i was also a heroin addict. I shot that money into my arm on 4 different occasions. On jan 8th 2016 i was at my local cd exchange ready to purchase blackstar. They hadn't even opened the tote it came in. While listening that night i repeated the story as i had many times before, with an added statement tacked on to the end. "He didn't tour the next day album i hope he tours blackstar. If i never get to see him live i will never forgive myself". 2 days later he was dead.
