I got my R6 a few days ago and been playing around a bit. I think if I can get mainly stills (example on a hike) and then sprinkle in a few 4K24 shots through out the day, I'd be okay. Not using the camera for pro video work, so don't need to be able to have it working an 4 to 8 hour shift non-stop. If I can get a bunch of 3-5 min clips every 10-15 mins on a walk-about, I'll be happy. Thanks for that other test you did Bob, it's given me some hope to justify keeping this camera. :) (that said, I love the stills from the R6!!)

Yeah, I'm not much of a photographer, but basically every photo of a person comes out perfectly with that eye auto-focus. It really makes me look like a better photographer!

great quality footage Bob! did you have any trouble with the overheating in 4k 60fps?

No, but I only shot about 7 minutes of 4K60 footage and a bunch of stills. After shooting stills, I switched back to video, and the camera estimated I had about 10 minutes of record time left. Here's an overheating test I did the other day. My results suggest that after the initial overheat about 40 to 50 minutes in, you can continue shooting 4K60 in 3 to 8 minute chunks with mandatory breaks of a minute or 2 in between recording: ruclips.net/video/ErR3Tq4afpU/видео.html
