Thanks so much for watching everyone! Which Nine sols boss is your fav?
I’ll get back to you on that after I’ve played it ^^
Eigong is my favorite
@LudensGames0805
I defeated her but still think that her fight is too much... (Which is probably due to my dysgraphia)
This opinion will be very likely to change once I spend hours upon hours learning her patterns by heart in battle memories mode.
I would say that it is Lady Ethereal, almost -sol-ely due to her grandiose theme song.
Eigong, Lady ethereal or ji. Even though ji deserved a third Phase with how easy the fight is right now.
Jiequan cannot be beaten before the jail section. He basically doesn't have a health limit and the fight will continue until you missplay or give up.
There should be an endurance challenge taking place there. I stood less than 10 seconds lol
@@rafaelboss_3.14 someone did this for around 1 hour (wr btw)
I was fighting him for like 15 minutes 😢
My list goes
Kanghui, Goumang, Yanlao, Jingzhou, Ji, Fuxi and Nuwa, Jiequan, Lady Ethereal, Eigong.
It's absolutely insane to think this is this studio's first action game. Nine sols is a worthy Sekiro 2 for me, and criminally underrated both in gameplay and story. Exceptional analysis of all the game's bosses!
As far as the healing in the Ji fight goes, while it being fun game design or not is arguable, I think what you've missed is it plays exactly into his character. And no I don't mean because of the green mage thing you mentioned.
Yi doesn't have to take part in the divination. You can ignore it entirely and Ji will do what we wants. Meanwhile Ji KNOWS he is going to lose. This isn't a fight for him. He's not trying his hardest because he knows no matter what he won't win. So rather than trying his hardest to win he does the one thing he can do, he has as much fun as he can. He's giving Yi a reward for playing his game and taking part in the divination. Incentivizing him to play along so Ji can have fun too.
oh also, anyone who hasn't touched nine sols yet, Go play it yesterday
Jiequan is the Genishiro of this game, this boss really taught me how to play Nine sols, there's no way to cheese it, even poisoning him is not enough help.
@@zinAab79 The poison will get you a good way through phase 1, but yeah you're on youre own in phase 2 which is part of why I adore it
I started playing Nine Sols after my sisters both played it and highly recommended it, specifically saying how great the boss roster was, and I can say I absolutely wasn't dissapointed. While it certainly has its low points, Nine Sols definitely has some of the greatest action bosses I've ever faced. The thing that really sticks out to me is how diverse the roster is as well, with Jie Quan being a masterclass for the classic Big Strong Warrior archetype of boss, while throwing in plenty of his own DNA (literally). Lady Ethereal is easily my favorite execution of a cloning boss ever, no contest. Fuxi and Nuwa are a super cool way to do a duo boss as well, and what can I even say about Eigong. Eigong is just a perfect final boss, and a perfect execution of Student vs. Master. Nine Sols was absolutely a highlight of the year in an already really great one for games.
I'm noticing a distinct lack of unbound counters in these clips
RIGHT, watching the fuxi and nuwa fight especially cause I fought like hell to learn that dagger/crimson attack timing
yeah ... but seeing how low the damage done by the bosses is, I guess its story mode with a low percentage of dmg taken.
Same. Especially against Jiequan and Eigong it's an absolute game-changer. If you manage to take the timing right on the Rasengan/Talisman attacks on Eigong, UC makes all the difference.
Also the low damage values of bosses, combined with the fact that she doesn't seem to explore much... I mean how can you have base stats on Jiequan? I had 7 health and 6 pipe charges when I fought him...
@@EmanueleCappello The only boss that I felt like unbound counter was necessary in was jiequan. For fuxi and eigong I found it more beneficial to use the window you get after those red attacks are executed. Tbh unbound counter is the only game mechanic I didnt truly get a good grasp at. It's cool and all but usually it's just too risky because of how hard the timing is. I kinda wish you had to use it in lady ethereal in that one attack in 3rd phase if you know what I mean, so you would have more opportunities to learn it.
Having beaten this game twice on normal mode ( I literally replayed the entire game so I could fight Jiequan without the poison ) my list would go like this , and also I will give them a tier ranking .
9 - Kanghui - E tier ( I really disliked this fight , its just a mob killing simulator and you can get overwhelmed , it can feel pretty cheap )
8 - Goumang - D tier ( unlike Kanghui this is a SOL boss and I expected more , a disappointing fight and one I did not enjoy but it isn't that bad unlike Kanghui )
7 - Yanlao - C tier ( a decent fight , its an ok fight just mediocre across the board )
6 - Yingzhao - B tier ( this is where the boss quality starts to shine and definitely takes a big leap forward , a great tutorial boss , challenging for such an early boss and definitely makes sure you learned the mechanics of the game , its an early skill check similar to Father Gascoigne from Bloodborne and I am glad they didn't take it easy on you early on and showed you what to expect from the game )
5 - Fuxi and Nuwa - B tier ( a good fight but it does have some issues imo , the first phase is a bit too easy but Fuxi definitely hits very hard if he connects , the second phase is more enjoyable and a lot more difficult in comparison when Nuwa starts using her magic flute to assist her brother but it also adds some problems like overlapping attacks between Fuxi and Nuwa's magic , good thing we have the bow and can stun Fuxi or this fight would be a lot more annoying to deal with )
4 - Ji - B+ tier ( While not that difficult of a boss I like Ji's design and the atmosphere of the fight , it can get a bit repetitive but its still a fun fight , its a more aesthetically pleasing fight rather than a mechanically challenging fight which is fine to have a boss like that )
3 - No poison Jiequan - A tier ( This is where the boss quality takes another leap forward , Jiequan is a challenging and fast paced boss that has some mix ups and will make sure that you use the new unbound counter ability that you learned or it will make the fight a lot more annoying to deal with , not only will there not be fire to deal with but he will be stunned giving you time to do some nice damage , at times he will try to make distance to heal so you want to disrupt that fast , p2 is more fun when he starts teleporting so you have to be prepared as he can use any close ranged attack he wants )
2 - Lady Ethereal - S tier ( This fight takes it another step further , a phenomenal and very challenging fight , the second hardest boss easily in the game . The first phase is basically just a prelude on her attacks and what to expect , its when p2 starts that things ramp up , this phase is difficult until you learn how to properly deal with it , she doesn't show her face so you will not be able to distinguish her from the clones so attacking the clones will eventually reveal the real one and then its best to place a talisman and hit her with an arrow , phase 3 is the opposite , she has 3 times more clones and attacking them will get you hit as they are coming much faster so here she shows her face so its best to wait for her to reveal herself for you to punish her , I also like that massive red orb attack she has , you know she is about to absolutely nuke you unless you dodge it properly , I really like how you are suppose to approach p2 and p3 differently but it took me a while to figure that out , I also really like the horror atmosphere in this fight , not much more to say this boss is absolutely phenomenal .)
1 - Eigong - S+ tier ( Who else could it have been , possibly the best indie boss I have ever fought , she really makes sure you have learned all the mechanics in the game and will test you to the limit , she is the hardest boss which is to be expected but still very fair , her first phase is moderately challenging and feels more like you guys are warming up for the real deal and that is what p2 is , p2 imo is the hardest phase of this fight , she has a lot of health , will make sure you use that unbound counter a lot and will do some mix ups , p3 is the climax of the fight , she goes basically anime here with those new attacks where she blitzes across the screen and slashes across the screen and she retains her abilities from p1 and p2 , this fight truly is the pinnacle of this game and about as fitting as game can end on such a high note )
Overall the bosses in this game are excellent with a few exceptions and much better than I expected them to be before playing the game , hopefully this game gets a boss rush down the line as I would love to do them over and over again in a gauntlet .
Hey not trying to be rude or anything but couldn't you have just used to battle memories mode in the menu, it lets you refight the main bosses.
@@danielneudorf1446 Battle memories are disappointing , you are in end game fully upgraded with talents and have all the jades , life upgrades , arrows , abilities and so on , that imo is no way to fight bosses as it does not feel authentic . You are going to destroy everything and only the last 2 bosses will feel like normal .
While I am fine with having this option for people who want it , imo they should have also allowed you to fight them as you would normally with the upgrades that you could only receive before fighting specific bosses . Once you learn the bosses and have enough practice these bosses become quite easy so to do so while being end game it will feel like cheating basically .
This is why battle memories suck .
@@blabla-fw9ix first of all i want to ask a question for data - did you fight ji or the fengs first?
and yea, it would have been great if they had been inspired by hollow knight a little more and gave each boss more interesting mechanics when fought in the memories of battle. that being said, hollow knight thrives on simplicity whereas nine sols thrives on complexity so many of the unique ideas were already added the first time you fight them. they also couldnt really have added an ultrabuffed final boss like abs rad because eigong already pulls out every single stop. one small thing they could have added though is at least allowing you to fight minibosses and having a guantlet where you fight all the bosses in a row, conserving resources throughout.
@@Sepi-chu_loves_moths On both of my playthroughs I fought Ji first . I never had too much trouble with either boss tho especially now that I can beat all the bosses with no issues easily .
I wouldn't exactly say that HK bosses especially the more difficult ones and the ones in the DLC are that simple and just like the Knight if you learn how to play very well with your player character Yi the character becomes very op as well , you can absolutely clown on the bosses .
This is good as it means that the game is fair and has little RNG but it does become a problem if you have fought them a lot as they will no longer pose any challenge .
For battle memories they absolutely could have made it harder if they chose to do so . Just like story mode they could have allowed you to modify it be as hard as you want it to be within reason .
They could have added a few attacks to every boss to make it more challenging as well as buffing their hp and damage , they also could have went the HK route and made bindings to make it a lot more difficult while keeping the bosses the same . Another thing they could have done is allow you to remove the option to receive internal damage so its like not having Kuro's charm in Sekiro if you don't perfect parry you receive external damage .
Obviously it is a big letdown that there is no boss rush which they easily could have implemented and fighting mini bosses too .
Hollow Knight's biggest challenge comes when you try to do pantheons with bindings and having done all 5 with all 4 turned on at the same time was one of the hardest things I have done while gaming , it is brutally difficult .
About Ji heal : if you pick it, he also uses a few of his special attacks in the round, whereas if you pick a special attack, he will only use this one.
Good video. I do agree that Goumang is prob the weakest boss fight but the aftermath of it is where the story REALLY hooked me
I feel like piecing together the complexity of Yi's own motivations and morals is just as much a part of the story as the actual like current events of the plot
And having him just Fate Worse Than Death one of the boss characters in such a coldhearted vindictive way is such an attention graber. Like I know these guys are a bunch of fuckers but you're kinda scary Yi.
I don't get why Goumang not actively fighting you would be a let-down. NONE of the first three Sols fight you directly.
And yet at the very least Kuafu and Yanlao have BOSSES that they fight you with, not two generic enemies that go down in a couple hits
@@AstralKat The very next entry on the list does the same thing, and you say it makes up for your least favorite area in the entire game.
As I explained in the video that boss is only above Goumang for the cathartic feeling of the fight, otherwise they're basically equal to me. And Goumangs area is great and has an awful boss, while the jail is awful and has a bad boss that allows me to take revenge on awful enemies
I have yet to play Nine Sols but it looks really fun. I think I might watch somebody play it because I don't think I'll be able to stomach playing the game but this was a really fun video to watch and made me interested in Nine Sols
It is actually pretty hard to use unbound counters against the bosses. Remember, you only get the unbound counter ability right before Jiequan. That means that you only have the ability for 5 of the bosses, only half. Second of all, not all the bosses have attacks which can be unbound countered. You can't unbound counter any of Lady Ethereal's crimson attacks, Ji's one crimson attack which can be unbound countered is much more easily dodged (like many of his attacks), and that just leaves Jiequan, Fuxi and Nuwa, and Eigong.
I forgot to fight Goumang and jumped directly to the next zone because I did not understand that you had to ring the large bells with a charged strike... so by the time I realized my mistake and headed back after defeating the old man, the battle her lasted less than a minute when I came back in an obviously over leveled state...
I am happy that I didn't miss out on much as I was barely able to experience the fight.
I guess I could still do her since I just unlocked battle memories, but it can wait.
I will not watch this video because I haven't played the game yet (waiting for the switch port) but i gotta interact because it will probably be my favorite game ever
12:46 ah, yes, the second addition to my list of videogame bosses I keep fighting over and over as a substitute for not being able to be their wife in real life.
The other member of this list is Grimm Nightmare King, for those who were wondering.
for me its eigong and mystic ze'mer from the pale court mod
This is a good tier list but looking at your gameplay clips did you forget that the unbounded counter exists? You seem to be actively avoiding using it for some reason
I dont like using unbound counter, I've said this in a number of comments but it doesnt suit my playstyle
@@AstralKatimo you’re making the eigong fight a lot less enjoyable that way. I struggled with it at first but once I adapted to it, it became a game changer
I completely agree with what you said about Goumang, I guess you could argue her weakness is due to the fact she's just a farmer like Jiequan said
but regardless of lore a second phase would have done wonders for her boss fight...
17:50 I remember absolutely hating this boss when I fought him...
Perhaps because I was sleep deprived...?
I found him very annoying for some reason, but now that I think about it, the immense strain I was under probably affected my thinking...
The duo has the best theme song in the game, tho.
I thought Ji was just really smart and used the little health and ammo pick ups as bait because I unironically lost more health trying to get them than the one gained from the heal quite a few times
First time I saw Lady Ethereals character design I got a flash back to Nightmare King Grimm
I love how jiequan works as a skill barrier for the game, just like darksouls likes to do
Silk song is the most elaborate diabolical hoax gaming has ever seen.
This is one of those cases where everyone already knows who number 1 will be. So the real question is how the rest will rank.
Jiequan is also an interesting fight since it is the first boss after you learn the unbounded counter. Mastering this new technique makes the fight significantly easier as he'll otherwise light most of the arena on fire if you dodge the associated attack instead of countering it.
Also, Eigong third phase soundtrack is insane
4:26 what is the first most gruesome?
My list consists of kanghui, goumang, yanlao, Jingzhao, fuxi and Nuwa, jiequan, ji, lady ethereal, and eigong. I actually wasn't the biggest fan of fuxi and nuwa. I like the quicker fights that forces you to learn every attack so you can parry them, but Fuxi is a comparatively slower, heavy hitter that I parried pretty easily. The second phase is a bit better, but not by much. I like how fuwa is in the back more, so we aren't overwhelmed by two people at once. Also, music is a big part for me, and I just didn't ipenjoy their theme as much as the others. (Side note, I hate nuwa 3 needle attack. Normally I wouldn't mind a qi top up but sometimes I'm in the middle of an unbounded parry or an attack string and I don't have time for 3 parries.) Ji was much quicker and force me to learn all his different knife patterns, and, overall, the heal orb really doesn't provide too much value overall, and, even though you avoid one of his big attacks by choosing it, he usually pulls out a big attack anyway. Lady ethereal and eigong are very close for me, ethereal has the best scene, music, and maybe even the best story for me, but eigong wins in gameplay and her story is also amazing,
Highly recommend you Grime. While the boss does not reach the peak of nine sols, it doesn't reach it's lows either . Also the tutorial boss i'd say is even better than nine sols.
I completely agree with your ranking!
Интро канала просто бомба. Мне нравится до сих пор Yingzhao, хотя это и первый босс. Его длинная замашистая атака и его телосложение как у коня меня очень порадовало.
Nice video and list, but I had to minimalize youtube for a while, because not unbound-countering some Jiequan's attacks made it painful to look at (still listened to it till the end, and your analysis was very accurate and entertaining :D)
Goumang proves that you can lose your legs, even if you have the high ground 😔
15:03 EVERHOOD MENTIONED !!!!!!!!!
I've made a few videos about everhood in the past actually! It's my second favorite game of all time
The main difference in my own ranking of the bosses is that I would switch the places of Eigong and Jiequan. I do wish that Jiequan had a phase 3, but his phase 2 is boss perfection in my opinion. Eigong is also still an amazing boss, but, especially during her phase 3, it gets a little much at times.
cannot disagree with you more on the Ji fight. lore wise i love that he uses destiny to decide the outcome. a couple more moves would be great but honestly Ji is probably my second favourite fight, maybe my first.
Glad you enjoyed it when i couldnt TBH
@@AstralKat part of the reason why i love these type of games is that everyone thinks differently about bosses. makes them fun to talk about.
27:43 hurting my feelings is not an art, it's simply moraly reprehensible.
Pardon my ignorant gibberish, I have just defeated her twice in her third phase and (although it sometimes feel a bit unfair) this fight is really really good once you start to understand how it works.
The satisfaction when you deflect combos of special attacks is unmatched.
Pure vessel is for *small children*
fantastique game wish to returne to the past so i can play it like it was my first time gorgeous gem
why is it that whenever you take damage, its like 2 damage, but when i do, its closer to 2000? this shit is aseninely impossible
From watching your gameplay, you seriously need to learn how to use unbound counter
@@byronmansfield874 I know how to use it. I just dont really enjoy it
@@AstralKatat first I did too, but it’s super fun against Eigong.
@@AstralKatfym you don’t enjoy it that’s not how that works. It’s not supposed to be enjoyable. It’s supposed to be a tool to defeat enemies. I think it’s just a skill issue😐
@DonkeyKong7493 its a video game dude....... its primary reason for existsing is that its supposed to be enjoyable and i for the most part agree, its highly enjoyable in the boss fights but other than that i found myself never using it much.
@@rhyswhittington8759 dawg that doesn't make sense the enjoyment of the game doesn't come from using your abilities it comes from beating enemies and bosses. Litteraly makes no sense. I don't find unbounded counter "enjoyable", but I use it when I can because it's supposed to help defeat enemies
Ji was the easiest boss for me tbh
The divination allows you to jump to his face and get free hits, I think the "hardest part" is the knifes that come out the ground
Also nuwa spells are annoying becuse fuxi throws you to them when you parry
Fuxi was litterally the only Boss were i was hyperagressive and it was extremely fun. Also eigentlich having no weaknesses is wrong because i could easily cheese her first 2 phases by being out of range of her actually challenging sword attacks.
Goumang really is the biggest letdown for me, though this game was absolutely amazing. Goumang really isnt that bad, its juat that the rest of the game is so amazing. I really hope there's a "Hard Mode" dlc someday, maybe with rearranged enemy placements and new attacks for bosses. My biggest hope would be for some alternative fights altogether in Hard mode, like Hollow Knights Pure Vessel/Sistersof Battle/White Defender/etc. style alternate bosses. Or maybe include these alternate fights in boss rush.
@thefraser5131 They did add in boss refights in the most recent update actually! And I know the devs plan to add more content in the future
15:08 ah, yes, *attack*
Why werent you using the unbound counter? Were doing a challenge?
I'm just gonna say it that Yingzhao is a preety good first boss it have preety good pauses between their attack so you can learn the telisman attack mechanism.
my list would go: goumang, general yingzhao, nuwa and fuxi, jiequan, kanghui, yanlao, eigong, lady ethereal, ji
sorry for the essay 😬
general yingzhao is in a bit of a difficult spot because he has very few moves - which makes sense because they want to teach you the game - but a somewhat large healthpool. so it eventually becomes a bit of a grind to beat him because you know all the attacks and its just a case of getting consistent at the parries. id have appreciated it more if they had let you explore for a little longer before you faced a boss where you have to know the parry timings well. thats probably just a skill issue tho and its still an epic first boss and the first unique enemy you face thats not just generic guard or drone.
fuxi and nuwa are absolutely a fun bossfight and do the whole two bosses thing really well - but theyre brought down quite a bit by a single little problem. that is, one of the attack combos where nuwa does the horizontal snake attack and fuxi does the jump and slam down attack (parryable). i found this basically undodgeable since you have to get into the air to avoid the snakes but parrying fuxis attack slams you downwards even if you parry it perfectly. even now i dont have a good solution to dodging this attack and it was an obvious thing i could point to as saying "this fight is unfair". its probably also just a skill issue tho.
while i did really enjoy the jiequan fight, i opted to not put in the gene eradicator for an extra challenge. so when he died relatively easily in only two phases i was very disappointed. i felt like it should have posed a much more significant challenge when he has so much buildup and absolutely destroys you the first time you fight. i guess if you dont find the gene eradicator then you get a massive spike in difficulty without your choice so what they did makes sense, but i was a little miffed. maybe a solution would be having the gene eradicator a little easier to find. theres also the issue of using the gene eradicator giving an achievement but not doing so doesnt. since youll likely have to do a second long playthrough anyway to get all the achievements as almost nobody doesnt break a single shanhai 9000 in their first playthrough, it wouldnt be too much of an issue to have another second playthrough achievement to get. and it may feel less bs that you have to do a second playthrough for a single achievement. still a great fight tho but most of the other mid/late game fights being basically perfect means that a small nitpick is a big drop in rating.
eigong suffers from the same problem as general yingzhao - she gets too consistent. by the time i reached the third phase, the first phase was basically just a time limiter and i started watching youtube videos in the background during the first phase - something i basically never did for the rest of the game. especially since nine sols is a learny game, you get extremely consistent at the first phases (since thats what you spend the most time on) and die within the first few unique attacks once you reach the next phases. the other issue i had was that because the moves were so coreographed and parry focused, there wasnt any opportunity to risk your health and play aggressive. you beat eigong at exactly the same rate every time, and so the first phase becomes even more of a slog. that being said eigong is also one of the best bosses in any video game ever and made me feel the coolest ive felt playing a video game since beating mystic ze'mer from the pale court mod, so i cant put it down too much for the first phase.
as for ji, i may be biased since i really love the concepts behind both the character and the attacks, but i never found that the attack roster was limited. could it be because i did the grotto before the empyrean district and so i fought ji earlier? i felt that because most of jis attacks have at least 2 seperate hazards to think about it actually felt like he had a very large move roster even though that might not have been true. and i could never get the timing down for the heal so allowing you to choose your own fate felt really cool to me.
28:25 wait, why is she taking so much damage...?
When I fought her, a waterflow explosion barely did half of this amount... Did she get buffed ...?
Water flow turning Int. damage into direct damage + damage from talisman explosion itself
@skirkimantas8985 I don't know, I was using water flow as well the first time I fought her and it seemed to be much less efficient...
she’s probably playing in story mode and adjusted the damage to be higher
@neoneology oh. It does make a lot of sense, I didn't remember that this was possible.
@LimboEffugiumWritter Internal damage being turned into direct damage makes it look like water flow deals a ton of dmg
This game is my personal GOTY idk why or how it didnt get a single nomination
Why... Did you not parry any red atacks? It`s really rewarding...
Doesnt suit my playstyle
@AstralKat didn't expect answer after a month... Anyway, i guess, everyone play's how they like.
Weird thing, the centaur general was my third boss. My first was goumang, followed by the old man
That’s actually impossible lmao bro quit liein
Jieqian 1st phase is fine but 2nd phase is so good if you get into a rhythm else it's a nightmare.
I might be weird but Eigong 3rd phase was the easiest for me took me only like 2 tries to do unlike my first attempt on the normal ending where I died like… 187 times though granted I had already done the bossfight then so I guess that’s why but I still expected to struggle a lot more I still think I died more at the second phase than third
Love the video, Eigong is probably the greatest final boss of all time and I am very confident in that decision.
One small criticism that may just be a me thing is that the way you drag out "s" and "t" sounds at the end of certain sentences really bugs me personally.
Yea I'm still struggling with voice training which is why I sound like that, sorry, It's getting better over time so I hope it doesnt deter you from watching other vids of mine!
As for Eigong, she's for sure up there for me, I have a video ranking my 10 best final bosses coming soon though so I cant spoil anything!
Imo eigong, while amazing and among my favourite bosses of all time like inner father and sword saint from sekiro and pure vessel from hollow knight, still isn’t as good as them. If we’re just talking final bosses only, I think sword saint is more fun to fight, more engaging, harder, more cinematic, and a cooler character since we actually meet him throughout the game.
i honestly read general Yingzhao and just.. general ingzao-i, n, g, z, a, o. that is how i read it
also i unironically think Ji was holdingback during the fight-since browantedtoperish but not by his own hand XD i can't helpbut think how terrifying he would have been if he wanted to live and actuallygave it his all against you- which is crazy to think about given he's a femboy lol; and i think everything in the fight made a lot ofsense-given.. you know; i get the design and wanting to have a challenge and some fun, but i do not think this is characteristic to who Ji is
I don't mean to be the erm accthually pronunciation guy but it's pronounced "Fooshee"
@@leosmith-moores1213 I did say I was going to butcher the names in the video lol, ive never heard them said out loud
What is it with lady ethereal I absolutely hate her. I hate it that you don't know who the real one is and that you have to chase her down. Luckily this does not happen in the 3rd fase
Really helped using a charged strike build with focus for the extra range and range. Charged strikes instantly stun her allowing for a full 3 charged strike or 2 and a talisman. Beat her relatively easily using this
This game is amazing
1.5x speed still sounds slow lmao
someone is really allergic at parrying red attacks hm? my list would be rather different, I really, REALLY hate lady ethereal, and I love Ji and Eigong. But seriously life would have been easier for you if you just parried the red attacks.
I know how to, I just prefer not to
yeah i hated lady E, if it wasnt such a slog and she stayed on screen for more than 2 seconds i would think differently but the second phase of that fight i just find much more irritating than fun. and JI might be my favourite in the game.
Fuxi and Lady ethereal theme is best.
22:26 Actually you can beat Jiequan on your first meeting, just avoid/counter and fight him as best as possible because there's a scene where Jiequan starts laughing and says "Is that all you got ?". Then Jiequan starts to knock out Yi. The only words that came out of Yi's mouth is: Impossible....... You'll still get 2,500 Jin and a Trophy/Achievement for besting Jiequan before being captured and tortured. While in the prison area, you'll find a chest containing the "DNA Eaters ( I don't know what is called. ). When you get the poison, defeat Kanghui, it's important ! You have two options: Kill Kanghui yourself, or leave him, if you leave him alone he'll self-terminate, allowing you access to his ring, if you kill him yourself, you'll have access to his ring either way. Go to Jiequan's chamber and inject the poison in the machine. Instead of having a healthy life bar, the color of his life bar will change to purple ( Pink depending on your color settings for your tv. ). You cannot win without the poison, you need the poison to have an edge against Jiequan. Otherwise you'll be two-shotted.

29:39 Isshin has 3 phases 💀
tecnically even 4 if you count genichiro right before him 😭😭
as the guy said above me, arguably i would say isshin has 4 phases.
But isshin's 3rd phase is literally his easiest one because of the lightning reversals. Eigong's 3rd phase is significantly tougher than her previous ones, which were already crazy hard
@malikhittam1440 that's actually not true at all lmao. Her 3rd phase is considerably easier because of her anime judgment cut move! And she spams that shit!
It's just very easy to Parry then punish her talisman grab attempt. You deal a lot of internal damage with the parry talisman
@@geraltofrivia7448 Exactly. I'd argue that her 2nd phase is the hardest, but once I got that I didn't struggle nearly as much with the third.
