My biggest and best video yet to end off 2023 with a banger (or start 2024 depending on where you live). This video literally took my entire soul. My entire November and December was basically just working on this video and with holidays and everything as well it was really hard to get all of this done in time. I hope you all will enjoy it, because I’m really proud of the result :). I want to wish everyone a happy New Year and let’s hope 2024 will be an even greater year for this channel! Thank you all so much, love y’all💜
Greenpath is of course number one but entering the city of tears for the first time hits different. The rain, the music, Quirrel looking out of a window, it was beautiful enough to make you cry.
That first time getting to the bottom of the long elevator and seeing the title card pop up as the music swells. I just reflexively whispered “damn”, and stood there for a minute. A great moment that I’ll always remember.
I find Green path annoying asf I hate the music and the enemys Same goes to fungal waves I think I hate the theme of nature so thats the reason I hate it
4:25 I’m actually genuinely surprised at how hated Deepnest is. In my honest opinion, I love deepnest because it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It throws you off, it creeps you out. Wouldn’t be deepnest, with no creepers, now would it? The lack of music, the ambience of the place, meeting nosk for the first time, getting beaten up by those people in the distant village, senseless tunnels with seemingly no meaning to them. It’s just awesome. I love it.
Not everyone likes having nightmares of spiders crawling over them. Fear has a negative connotation for a reason, and arachnophobia is the most common phobia. Put the two together, and no wonder people are going to react so erratically to this area. Poison is great at killing people, but I won't say I like it because "It does exactly what it's supposed to do". When something is great at doing something you don't like, chances are you're going to hate it more.
Yeah but also going through Deepnest is torture even after you already know everything there. Still a good area, just not as enjoyable to play through, if that makes any sense (it probably doesn’t)
As someone who did Traitor Lord first, White palace was most important (call me a psychopath but i loveeeee white palace, i am still scared of saws tho)
I am a howling cliff apologist I love how it connects to the starting area. Sure it's super mid by itself but it was the first time I had that woahhh it's all connected feeling the map has
Jumping down, going through the area I last saw weeks ago, and then entering dirtmouth to discover Grimm's parade... amazing feeling. I hope silksong has the amazing element of exploration
City of Tears might have to be my #1. The melancholy aesthetic is super calming and yet it can also get really chaotic. Both the major boss fights are great ones, and overall I just love the concept that it’s a forlorn City that’s lost its way.
12:26 White palace was the most memorable place for me, i remembering playing steel mode thinking "if i die ill respawn since im in a dream world anyway" You cant respawn after dying in white palace. Ive learn the hard way rip my 95% run
I've literally witnessed someone's steelsoul run dying in the beginning of White Palace in front of my eyes, it happened so fast and it was so sad hahaha😭
I actually love deepnest. It has two of the most interesting enemy designs in the game (a spider coming out of the foreground and a beast that uses it's claws as a mask and a weapon? that's pretty cool in my opinion). I also find it does exactly what it's supposed to do: make you feel lost, claustrophobic, and uncomfortable. Possibly even plain scared if you're an arachnophobe (which I thankfully am not). The random drop into the hot spring after the extremely tight tunnel navigation is one of my most memorable experiences. All in all, a pretty solid area.
dude, i LOVE little weavers the way they like walk across the foreground before they appear just makes it so much better and the design is so cute, how can you put something that cute into the second scariest area?
Resting grounds is so relaxing that I’ve actually fallen asleep playing the music multiple times The entire area is so diverse yet so small, and I just wish there could be more
Honestly Greenpath is top tier, I fully agree with you. Especially about that being the moment you realized the game had so much more to offer! I also really appreciate your willingness to own up to the subjectivity at the end and bring your personal experience with the game into your assessment. It's definitely the kind of stuff I hope to emulate as I get my own channel off the ground!
I'm glad you liked it :) My experience with Greenpath is probably very personal and I even saw a ranking where it was placed as the worst area. So I felt like I needed to mention it was subjective and that everyone likes different things. I'm sure your channel will do great someday 💜
YOU ARE CORRECT SIR. Greenpath is my favorite area as well, because of the sheer sense of magic that I experienced when entering it for the first time.
IMO Kingdoms edge hits the absolute hardest, I love the idea that hollownest all revolves around a singular kingdom. Leaving the player to think that the world is big and terrifying but also all unified by their affiliation with the City of Tears and the Pale King. This piece of worldbuilding really got me in love with the game. Also great vid, keep up the good work :)
Ancient basin is easily the number one, the charm it has is awesome and the lore is awesome too, it is meant to be dark and mysterious and I love that, deepnest is cool too, but it has a totally different feeling while exploring
My personal favorite is City of Tears, followed by Crystal Peak, then Greenpath. I also love Fungal Waste, Royal Waterways, and Ancient Basin. All 6 have great content/bossfights, but City of Tears, Crystal Peak, and Greenpath also have next level art, music, and atmosphere.
I really like the white palace, since whenever you play a randomizer (especially room rando) you feel like a badass traversing path of pain for the totem checks
This is funny because earlier I was choosing a hollow knight ranking to make and someone commented “MilesNugget has already done them all”. I was like, nah, he hasn’t done area ranking. So I edit for 8 hours and guess what? you release this *MASTERPIECE* lol
It's interesting how experiences can be different. When I first played, I breezed through Crossroads, then got to Greenpath and found it to be very difficult, but managed to go through. Then I got to Fungal Wastes and somehow missed the map shop before descending all the way down to the Mantis Village. So my oldest memory of Fungal Wastes is getting lost, struggling to survive through all the enemies, still not having a mastery of the pogo jump that made it easy to traverse, and eventually getting the Mantis Claw, but having no idea how to get back to the top and dying over and over as I tried, until I quit Hollow Knight and started telling anyone who asked me that I disliked the game and that I just wasn't into metroidvanias in general. But then, after a year of having this itch, I decide to go back, even if just out of spite. But the experience from having played HK before changed how skilled I was. I destroyed both Greenpath and Fungal Wastes, beat Hornet in two tries and found pogo jumping to be easy this time. Then I get to City of Tears and meet the beautiful music and atmosphere for the first time, the difficulty that was just right, the map opening up so I could go anywhere, and finally the feeling that I knew what I was doing. That's when I fell in love with HK. So CoT is easily my favorite area. And GP/FG definitely don't make the top 3, since I can't help but associate them with that painful first run.
Yeah that is indeed a totally different experience from what I had😭 I had so much fun with Greenpath and Fungal Wastes, that is indeed the beauty of making rankings :)
I had a similar experience, Fungal Wastes was the only time I truly felt lost and frustrated with the game the first time I traversed the place. It grew on me later in my playthrough, but for the first bit I was a bit overwhelmed.
Have a great New Year Miles! You gained so much subs this year and Im glad to be a member of (a name I came up with) THE NUGGET NATION. Thanks for being entertaining!
The hive blew my mind when i found it. Such a unique and vibrant area in a place on the map where i never ever expected to find something this beautiful. It just gives me a warm welcoming feeling (eventhough the bees arent very welcoming 😭) The sound design in this area is HEAVILY underrated, the bee noises, acoustics and hive knight boss theme are all amazing
Amazing video, Miles! Not only it was super well edited and scripted, but also it made me remember the most memorable moments this game has, like discovering the city of tears or getting to dirtmouth from crystal peak with the crystal dash. This video reminded me of how good and special the game is. A happy new year!
Give some love to Infected Crossroads; the contrast between the plain forgotten crossroads at the start and greenpath, and then the sudden infection reveal with the insane music earns that place a high spot. Its just technically brilliant storytelling and game design
honestly, my personal favorite contentwise is the white palace. I just love platforming, plus the lore is pretty insane. It was a really impactful area, both with the throne room and the ending of path of pain, at least for me. But I can get behind a lot of the places for areas in your ranking, honestly I can agree with most of them. It was a very nice video, thanks for making it, and have a nice 2024 :) ps: putting greenpath on the first place is hella based
13:05 Trio What Now!??! Awesome video miles, I was super excited when I saw you back on my home page, this video definitely did not disapoint and I hope that the new year treats you well. Thank you for all your amazing content, it always brings a smile to my face.
HAHAHA I knew someone was gonna say that😭😭 Don't blame me, it’s the name of the fear okay. But thank you so much man💜 I hope you have a good 2024 as well :)
I slowly BEEcoming more psychotic the more I watch this ranking knowing that my home is number 16 on the list making it the 3rd worst area in hallownest because we all know that miles’ opinion is completely correct and above all other opinions making it factual information. =)
We will fight for the independence of hive, for our families, for our BEEliefs, for our rights. Our enemies will respect us and our hive. Let the battle for hive BEEgin!
I love The Hive, I think the bees there are so cute and once you equip hiveblood and you come back there, it's really nice. Also the ambience in the hive is really good.
Haha ! Yeah, it can be really tricky to pronounce espescially the "oi" part, at first you don't really know how to pronounce it until you hear it 😅 Btw I really like your relaxed but also dynamic attitude and your vidéos are really entertaining ! You're definetly one of my favorite Hollow Knight youtubers ! And also I have an idea for a ranking video : after bench ranking and grass ranking how about... NPC Ranking ! You could rank them based on design, dialogue, voice, attitude, lore, usefullness, etc... It's probably goig to be A LOT of work since there's a lot of NPCs in Hollow Knight but I think it could make a great and funny video ! Happy New Year (2 days late lol) and I wish you good luck for the future Miles ! :D
Bro is about to become the king of rankings 🔥🔥 also thanks for keeping this game fresh in these times where all hope for Silksong is slowly fading away!
I also would put Greenpath as my number 1 because it was the first area to use a different colour palette and it really showed me that the game had so much more to offer
By far the best hollow knight video I've watched, genuinely made me laugh out loud a couple times which got me some weird looks. Love you editting style dude keep it up 👌
AHHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH💜💜 I appreciate it so much man, I'm happy you liked it so much, because this video took a lot of time hahaha :) Thank you so much for the donation💜
The Hive is a lot higher up for me because the way that you discover it is something that truly scratched the perfect itch for me. It's a whole area that you can enter only one way, and that entrance is hidden behind a breakable wall that can easily be missed. But when you do discover it you're in for such a treat, because right when you least expect it you got a whole new area with a super distinct and unique aesthetic. This experience alone puts The Hive way higher on the list for me. It kind of entails exactly what a lot of Hollow Knight is about; exploring and finding hidden sectets.
Thank you for the video! I absolutely understand that all ranking is subjective (understood from the moment i was clicking on the video) so not going to argue, just share some subjectiveness too! First, i wouldn't place crystal peak so high if was asked. Party because "area where you accomplish some goals and never turn back" is about it exactly. Party because of enemies, that just don't feel.. so good as others. And maybe, just maybe, because it's art style, all lightened crystals without bright light, the sound of machinery and THE MUSIC just spreads sadness so strong... Not that kind of sweet and ascended sadness, but the one that chains your chest. However, few playthroughs later i probably will change my mind, who knows. Next... Hive. Yeah, there's not so much to do there, but it is just pleasing. Completely optional area, the only optional in the game as far as i remember (((well good luck in white palace without hiveblood when you're not great in parkour))) For me, no problems with background sound, it feels so different from the rest of game in terms of being really alive, another kingdom within borders of Hallownest, that (as seems) hasn't collapsed and still running... (Also somehow associations with childhood memories of Angry Birds Space, especially the Utopia levels, idk) Kingdom's edge. First entering was just a WOW moment, completely agree with what you said. But to add, if only you are familiar with sequel of Syberia, the very music Just Hits Different. (Also Wyrm, that's cool af) Ancient basin. Not much to say, I'll go with the crowd on this, it's "dark not grim" aesthetic that i love. Witnessing something beyond what we've seen before, seeing ruins of Palace, also the Broken Vessel which is sooo cool and has awesome soundtrack, aswell as still-partly Pale beginning of location that slowly changes to dark... And the dreamnail dialogue of king's servant in the beacon, that can be used as a sample of the location's vibe. Oh yeah, after bue-ish Forgotten Crossroads when you enter bright amd full of life Greenpath and the absolute masterpiece of a music starts playing and tou get first serious glimpses of all the mysteries awaiting... Thank you for the video. Silksoon?
Hey, have you played Ori and the blind forest yet? If not: I think you'll love this one too. It's also sooo magical and challenging and there's a lot to explore and the story is absolutely beautiful.
As the second howling cliffs fan, the howling cliffs has one of the best nail arts, gorb, the start of Grimmtroupe, the stag nest, and it connects with the start. What's not to love.
The main thing I hate about infected crossroads (not even at that point yet!) are the sheer amount of explosive enemies. Those enemies would already be good enough just with their current gimmicks they have when ALIVE!
i think that fungal deserves the respect it got because the purple mushrooms kind of are the first experience with alot of pogos so it teaches the player pogo techniques
0:23 POKÉPARK!! I LOVE POKÉPARK! God, those games are such bangers. Possibly my favorites on the Wii. I feel like they aren't talked about enough. The area you showed was also my favorite in the game, the Tech Zone. The vibes were awesome there.
I am a big fan of the ambient factors of areas in hollow knight, as team cherry put so much work into making them interactive, ambient, and realistic to give you the best experience. So I agree with most of your rankings (I’m one of those 2 howling cliffs fans). Happy New Year!
Your fan from the beginning still here, I have yet to watch your Celeste videos but I WILL (I save your videos for when I’m sad to cheer me up so 🤷♂️) HYPED FOR THIS ONE THO
Another MilesNugget Ranking! You got me into Hollow Knight with your boss ranking, and ever since I have kept an eye out for more MilesNugget content! Have a happy new year!
NEW MILES VID?! RIGHT AT THE END OF THE YEAR?! I appear to be one timezone ahead of you so the new year has alreaddy started BUT this is literally the best year opener ever 🤣 The jelly fish king is really exeptionally proud of you!
I litearlly was about to say I have ptsd from the path of pain music (I literally get shaky when I hear it 🤣) but then you said it before me 🤣 I'm glad I'm not alone 🤣😵
Wow, was this video amazing! All the editing, the jokes, and the beautiful moments all hit perfectly. I have forgotten so much of HK, and i didnt remember a whole lot from this video, so this video inspired me to play again! Thank you.
so when white palace gives you a white fragment you call it "half a charm" but when queen's gardens gives you one you call it "one of the most important items in the game" lmao fire video tho 👍
great video miles and great area ranking miles also happy new year miles you have made banger videos this year and cant wait for new videos in 2024 and have a great rest of your day this was a banger
I’m a howling cliffs fan and I love the lack of content because just like deepnest it does what it’s supposed to do. It’s the barren wasteland at the edge of the world and doesn’t have primal aspids (unlike some other areas I could mention). The whole vibe is amazing and I love how it connects to greenpath and dirtmouth. Gorb is unironically one of my favourite bosses. Joni and stagnest are also cool.
A NEW VIDDDD✨✨💜 hehe so happy to watch it :) thank u so much as always Miles💜💗 after all this time you talk to me about how much work this video was, I can assure you this is deffinetly one of your best! you can be so so proud of yourself💜💜 thank you so much for making me smile so much as always 💜 happy new year! love u Miles 💜💜💜
This is easily the best hollow knight video i've seen in a while, i really enjoyed it and your choices are also quite relatable, keep it up. If you can make these kind of videos with hollow knight i cant immagine what youre going to do when silksong comes out. Thank you for sharing your opinions

Bro, made a whole presentation 25:30 to end this year HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIEND! You achieved so many things in 2023, me and the other boys are very proud of you! KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK BROTHER!
6:38 I am absolutely gobble-smacked that The Hive is all the way down here. Howling Cliffs? Justified. Deepnest? Justified. THE HIVE??? BELOW THE ROYAL WATERWAYS??? The Hive is a very short area, sure, and the big boy bee can be kinda annoying, but in my opinion, it is one of the most interesting and visually pleasing areas in the game. A low ranking makes sense, but being right up there with howling cliffs and deepnest is insane
In my opinion the Royal Waterways was pretty cool to explore, it had many things and areas you could find. The Hive didn't had a lot to offer for me. But that's how I feel about it🤝🏻
@@MilesNugget Royal Waterways is a pretty large and has a lot of neat bits and pieces, especially Isma's Grove imo, but the flukes, sounds, and the atmosphere just give me the heebie-jeebies and I *despise* it i only really like the hive more because of the visuals and backgrounds, as well as the concept itself. I just have a bigger interest in the environment than the gameplay, is all. still, very good video!
I like Howling Cliffs much more than the Hive. Discovering the Cliffs was actually cool, like a subversion that you can go backwards beyond the starting point of the game, and also the aesthetics of the scary wastelands and emptiness outside of Hollownest. I think there are more than 2 enjoyers of the location. It does good job for what it is, a semi-secret location. While the Hive has a different job, and it fails at it. I actually don't even understand what the Hive is supposed to make you feel, what its design even. It is just a useless location from nearly all sides.
I got so excited when i saw the notification for a new miles video. The tier list was fire, but my only big disagreement was that royal waterways is the ABSOLUTE WORST AREA EVER, the only redeeming factor is dung boy and godhome, but you ranked that seperate so only one thing prevents it from being utter garbage. Anyways, beside that little "correction" i agree with the list. P.S. - what was that game where you were playing as oshawott? (Its my favorite pokemon)
Hahahaha yeah the Royal Waterways is uhhm indeed not peoples favourite hahaha😭 And the game is called 'Poképark 2' I love it so much, I played it my entire childhood. It’s for the wii if you want to play it someday :)
I may be a masochist, but I truly love deepnest and white palace. But... for me, the location, that opened my eyes to this game, were crystall peaks. I LOVE the platforming aspect of games and that area is SOMETHING. Amazing path for crystall dash, that-bug-who-stole-a-bench, these undying lazer crystall bugs... and MYLA T-T Btw I think that it's quite important to mention that you get your opportunity to explore this location only after buying expensive as heck (for a beginner of cource) lantern. Grinding for 1800 money in the beginning of the game feels like eternity, and then you finally entrance this quite mysterious and spooky dark cave... and than you GASP watching on all of the shades of amazement you face in this area... Gorgeous. And yeah, you've got to return back to crystall peaks a few times. And every time you discover, that crystall peaks are more, than you now it.
I think the biggest waste to me is how underutilized Ancient Basin is, yeah there's a lot of important stuff for progression but there's just no unique level design and not even a unique music track it's just ambience, which is a shame because I love the visual aesthetic a lot for whatever reason and think something connected to both the Abyss and the White Palace should be somewhat more substantive to explore
Absolute banger at the end, I also have to thank you. You but more Hollow Knight in general helped me with a break up. So I thank you and the whole community for it.

Awww thank you so much man :)💜 Hopefully 2024 is going to be even better🙏 Have a great New Year as well
The hive blew my mind when i found it. Such a unique and vibrant area in a place on the map where i never ever expected to find something this beautiful.
It just gives me a warm welcoming feeling (eventhough the bees arent very welcoming 😭)
The sound design in this area is HEAVILY underrated, the bee noises, acoustics and hive knight boss theme are all amazing
It's a really unique and creative place indeed. Sadly the bees are just too much for me😭
Amazing video, Miles! Not only it was super well edited and scripted, but also it made me remember the most memorable moments this game has, like discovering the city of tears or getting to dirtmouth from crystal peak with the crystal dash. This video reminded me of how good and special the game is. A happy new year!
Awww thank you so much :))💜 Glad you liked it so much and that it brought back good memories of the game.
Happy New Year to you as well!
Give some love to Infected Crossroads; the contrast between the plain forgotten crossroads at the start and greenpath, and then the sudden infection reveal with the insane music earns that place a high spot. Its just technically brilliant storytelling and game design
After this video, I think the npc ranking might be cool continuation
Could be cool indeed🤝🏻
My favorite area is the City of Tears, but that's *purely* because it has the Soul Sanctum, which is obviously the goat sub-area. (Happy 2024)
Soul Sanctum is indeed really cool, but I also have a lot of beef with it hahaha😭
But Happy 2024 :)💜
honestly, my personal favorite contentwise is the white palace. I just love platforming, plus the lore is pretty insane. It was a really impactful area, both with the throne room and the ending of path of pain, at least for me.
But I can get behind a lot of the places for areas in your ranking, honestly I can agree with most of them. It was a very nice video, thanks for making it, and have a nice 2024 :)
ps: putting greenpath on the first place is hella based
Thank you so much, glad you can agree with my list :) And Greenpath is indeed so based, I had to put it at number 1
Have a good 2024 too :)💜
I have literally been wanting to see an area ranking for so long! I love this and your content so much, thank you
Well I'm happy you liked it :) Thank you so much💜
13:05 Trio What Now!??! Awesome video miles, I was super excited when I saw you back on my home page, this video definitely did not disapoint and I hope that the new year treats you well. Thank you for all your amazing content, it always brings a smile to my face.
😳aye what
HAHAHA I knew someone was gonna say that😭😭 Don't blame me, it’s the name of the fear okay.
But thank you so much man💜 I hope you have a good 2024 as well :)
If my hive is not #1 I am going to commit war crimes.
Edit: Anyone have any nuclear launch codes?
I slowly BEEcoming more psychotic the more I watch this ranking knowing that my home is number 16 on the list making it the 3rd worst area in hallownest because we all know that miles’ opinion is completely correct and above all other opinions making it factual information. =)
I can’t BEElieve Miles Nugget put your home so low. I don’t have the nuclear launch codes yet.
We will fight for the independence of hive, for our families, for our BEEliefs, for our rights. Our enemies will respect us and our hive. Let the battle for hive BEEgin!
You would never betray me like that TacoBellBee. Accept your faith!🗣
@@MilesNuggetI’m starting a cult and you won’t BEE able to hold it back. EMBRACE THE BEE. EMBRACE THE HIVE! THE HIVE IS NUMBER ONE!
I love The Hive, I think the bees there are so cute and once you equip hiveblood and you come back there, it's really nice. Also the ambience in the hive is really good.
The Hive ambience is so good that it made me more afraid of bees
14:46 As a French how could I have not seen this xD
Btw your pronunciation of "Croissant" is amazing :)
Hahaha thank you so much😭 I actually took multiple takes for the correct pronounciation hahaha🥐
Haha ! Yeah, it can be really tricky to pronounce espescially the "oi" part, at first you don't really know how to pronounce it until you hear it 😅
Btw I really like your relaxed but also dynamic attitude and your vidéos are really entertaining !
Awww thank you so much :)💜 I feel honoured to be the king of rankings👑 I'm glad I can make the Silksong pain less painfull 🙏
Nah he hates deepnest for no reason, his list sucks
I also would put Greenpath as my number 1 because it was the first area to use a different colour palette and it really showed me that the game had so much more to offer
By far the best hollow knight video I've watched, genuinely made me laugh out loud a couple times which got me some weird looks. Love you editting style dude keep it up 👌
AHHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH💜💜 I appreciate it so much man, I'm happy you liked it so much, because this video took a lot of time hahaha :) Thank you so much for the donation💜
@@MilesNugget happy to :) please never stop making videos
Legit loved the presentation joke LMAO
I love how you used the Honeyhive Galaxy music to The Hive
Sometimes I spend literal hours to find good music for the videos. I felt really proud of the moment I put HoneyHive Galaxy under the Hive
Song ranking next?! Or lever ranking?! Great video!!+
Maybe song ranking? But ain't no way for lever ranking😭
Completely optional area, the only optional in the game as far as i remember (((well good luck in white palace without hiveblood when you're not great in parkour)))
For me, no problems with background sound, it feels so different from the rest of game in terms of being really alive, another kingdom within borders of Hallownest, that (as seems) hasn't collapsed and still running... (Also somehow associations with childhood memories of Angry Birds Space, especially the Utopia levels, idk)
Kingdom's edge. First entering was just a WOW moment, completely agree with what you said. But to add, if only you are familiar with sequel of Syberia, the very music Just Hits Different. (Also Wyrm, that's cool af)
Ancient basin.
Silksoon?
Miles nugget video on new years is a huge W, love your channel keep it up man!
Thank you so much hahaha :)💜
yep, cant wait to see what you have in terms of content this year (no pressure lmaoo)@@MilesNugget
let's goooo, my favorite hollow knight tierlist maker ranking the hollow knight areas! and just before the end of 2023! thank you so much
Just doing my job 🤝🏻🐐
Hey, have you played Ori and the blind forest yet? If not: I think you'll love this one too. It's also sooo magical and challenging and there's a lot to explore and the story is absolutely beautiful.
I have not played it, it looks really beautiful
As the second howling cliffs fan, the howling cliffs has one of the best nail arts, gorb, the start of Grimmtroupe, the stag nest, and it connects with the start. What's not to love.
Loved how you described all the content of the Howling Cliffs. Maybe you'll find the third fan soon🤝🏻
@@MilesNugget I didn't describe all of it. There also the best charm in the game (baldur's shell) and that dream tree puzzle.
Howling cliffs is best, it felt like you were outside hollownest and made me understand the world of this game
Yes, but hear me out...
P R I M A L A S P I D S
@@tempest3052 Howling Cliffs, not Kingdom's Edge.
The main thing I hate about infected crossroads (not even at that point yet!) are the sheer amount of explosive enemies. Those enemies would already be good enough just with their current gimmicks they have when ALIVE!
Yup, I agree😭 It’s one giant explosion fest
i think that fungal deserves the respect it got because the purple mushrooms kind of are the first experience with alot of pogos so it teaches the player pogo techniques
Exactly!! It is fun as hell to go through this place with the mushrooms. Also it's just a fun area in general :)
So happy for you to be back, super exited to see more vids :)
Yeah, really nice to see him back. Really exited
Thank you so much :)💜
38:49 I have a lot of great memory here
LEAVING ZOTE
HAHAHA that was on purpose😭😭😭
City of tears not being #1 is a crime in my home planet, being earth. 😅
Hahahaha😭 Sorry, Greenpath is my homie🤝🏻🔥
0:23 POKÉPARK!! I LOVE POKÉPARK!
God, those games are such bangers. Possibly my favorites on the Wii. I feel like they aren't talked about enough. The area you showed was also my favorite in the game, the Tech Zone. The vibes were awesome there.
Exactly exactly exactly
Another video yess, I really like the fact that even I don’t really know english, with your video I can understand quite things (love your editing)
Well that's great to hear :) My English speaking most of the time is not very complex, so that’s why it is probably a bit easier
It's nice to see you do a area ranking, anyways nice video Miles and a happy new year!! 🎉
Happy New Year Lucky :)💜 Hopefully you'll have an awesome 2024
@@MilesNugget aww thank youu!! 💜💜
I am a big fan of the ambient factors of areas in hollow knight, as team cherry put so much work into making them interactive, ambient, and realistic to give you the best experience. So I agree with most of your rankings (I’m one of those 2 howling cliffs fans). Happy New Year!
(also think infected should be lower on the list)
The ambience is my favourite thing in the game and carried some areas to the top of the list. It's the reason I love this game so much :)
@@MilesNugget couldn’t have said it better. :)
Your fan from the beginning still here, I have yet to watch your Celeste videos but I WILL (I save your videos for when I’m sad to cheer me up so 🤷♂️) HYPED FOR THIS ONE THO

Wow, was this video amazing! All the editing, the jokes, and the beautiful moments all hit perfectly. I have forgotten so much of HK, and i didnt remember a whole lot from this video, so this video inspired me to play again! Thank you.
Wow, thank you so much. I appreciate it a lot :>💜
so when white palace gives you a white fragment you call it "half a charm" but when queen's gardens gives you one you call it "one of the most important items in the game" lmao
fire video tho 👍
Hahahah😭 I mean you get my point, it’s way more effort to get through White Palace than through Queen’s Gardens.
Great list you made good points about everyplace and I couldn’t agree mor, well except for kingdoms edge being. That place is one of my top favorites.
Alright we got the area ranking but I want to see a character ranking next got that nugget
Maybe someday🤝🏻

Christopher larkin is the GOAT
i love him because he made the grimm theme
Grimm theme is so amazing🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣
I’m a howling cliffs fan and I love the lack of content because just like deepnest it does what it’s supposed to do. It’s the barren wasteland at the edge of the world and doesn’t have primal aspids (unlike some other areas I could mention). The whole vibe is amazing and I love how it connects to greenpath and dirtmouth. Gorb is unironically one of my favourite bosses. Joni and stagnest are also cool.
HAY YOU!!! Yes YOU!! Ur amazing! Keep up the good work friend! Keep going and soon enough we’ll get silksong and everything will be better 😂

Dirtmouth is very comforting to me as it's like returning home after a long time
6:38 I am absolutely gobble-smacked that The Hive is all the way down here.
But that's how I feel about it🤝🏻
@@MilesNugget Royal Waterways is a pretty large and has a lot of neat bits and pieces, especially Isma's Grove imo, but the flukes, sounds, and the atmosphere just give me the heebie-jeebies and I *despise* it
i only really like the hive more because of the visuals and backgrounds, as well as the concept itself.
Happy new year Miles! I hope you had a great year! The video was great like always, and don't forget, i love you!!! 💜💜💜💜
Thank you Mossy💜💜💜 I love you too, have a great New Year :)
Thank you Miles💜
I got so excited when i saw the notification for a new miles video. The tier list was fire, but my only big disagreement was that royal waterways is the ABSOLUTE WORST AREA EVER, the only redeeming factor is dung boy and godhome, but you ranked that seperate so only one thing prevents it from being utter garbage. Anyways, beside that little "correction" i agree with the list.
P.S. - what was that game where you were playing as oshawott? (Its my favorite pokemon)
Hahahaha yeah the Royal Waterways is uhhm indeed not peoples favourite hahaha😭
And the game is called 'Poképark 2' I love it so much, I played it my entire childhood. It’s for the wii if you want to play it someday :)

Yayyyyy new video :) the PowerPoint presentation got me 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, best part of the video
one of my friends loves deepnest, and to be fair, they're probably a masochist so it makes some sense
Hahahaha😭😭
I may be a masochist, but I truly love deepnest and white palace. But... for me, the location, that opened my eyes to this game, were crystall peaks. I LOVE the platforming aspect of games and that area is SOMETHING. Amazing path for crystall dash, that-bug-who-stole-a-bench, these undying lazer crystall bugs... and MYLA T-T
Btw I think that it's quite important to mention that you get your opportunity to explore this location only after buying expensive as heck (for a beginner of cource) lantern.
😨
I think the biggest waste to me is how underutilized Ancient Basin is, yeah there's a lot of important stuff for progression but there's just no unique level design and not even a unique music track it's just ambience, which is a shame because I love the visual aesthetic a lot for whatever reason and think something connected to both the Abyss and the White Palace should be somewhat more substantive to explore
Absolute banger at the end, I also have to thank you. You but more Hollow Knight in general helped me with a break up. So I thank you and the whole community for it.
Awwww it's my pleasure really💜 Hopefully you are doing well man :)
