I'm an INFJ. My friends keep telling me to speak more. They say it's a bad thing. I know I'm quiet. I've always been like that. It hurts so much that they don't accept me as I am. I tried to change it but I couldn't. I thought they would love me more if I speak more. They probably think I'm boring. I'm not that person who tells funny stories and makes everyone laugh. Sometimes I think life would be easier as an extrovert. Thanks for the video Teresa
Thank you, Teresa. This really felt like a big, warm hug and what the heck, I would like to be your friend so much! Keep making videos, you're so kind and supportive 💜
Thanks everyone for such positive feedback! I'm so incredibly glad to know that it has helped so many of you and inspired you to not always care about what others think.
Not caring what everybody thinks is way harder than we can express in a video. The videos was great, all the best intentions to everyone and everything out here, but going from total fear of other people's words to literal indifference towards strangers' opinions is extremely hard. Especially when you have no friends to back you up. Of course your family can do that too, but at the end of the day, your friends are usually the ones walking the path of life with you.
you're amazing, i really needed to hear this. One question, I have this friend which is always mean but i also have my group of friends that never support me and i feel like there's nothing i can do about it, she's my friend and i care about her but sometimes her mean comments make me feel worthless especially because she is my friend, what can I do?
Sometimes someone's being kind by being cruel to you, friends especially are obligated to do it because if your decision would hurt you in any way it's their job to try to protect you from that by telling you in such a way to discourage you doing that. For example, you have a history of depression and you have beautiful hair but want to shave yourself bald, a friend should say you're an idiot for wanting to do that to protect you from falling into a depression when you feel you'll be treated less favorably with a bald head. So it all depends on the situation.
@@Fan-zx1lz I mean that always trying to be kind ends up in lies/lie by omission to not hurt someone's feelings and exactly that can hurt that person's feelings and trust in you. Sometimes cruelness can be kind, sometimes kindness can be cruel.
@@Fan-zx1lz Not always, but this is just one example though. Like a mother having an extra job to support her sister who's in financial trouble while her child suffers alone every evening. There the mother is hurting her child with kindness to her sister.
BUT! What if this kinds of 'dont cafe what other's think' is used by bullies and when you tell them that they are being rude, they wont change? :( It will not only cause trouble to others, and...might be someone you care about.
Yeah lets create our own echochamber and all live in our own alternate reality. Isolation from other opinions only makes you more ignorant so being vulnerable is a necessary evil. A friend critically looking at how you dress can be with intentions to prevent you from facing scrutiny, isolation and different treatment and actually should feel responsible for doing that to protect you. This video is all just very shallowly thought through and far too self protective because sometimes it's kind to be cruel and sometimes being cruel can be kind. I'm just saying there's a middle ground what every human being should aim for.

@@udntknw001 How? I didn't completely understood what you said? Could you please explain in more detail?
