Gilbert Villarreal All feedback is welcomed but why the disrespect? Gotta learn to speak like a man, your choice of words are foolish and that of a coward. But regardless, it was just tough to do since I was using my phone with my other hand. What do you need help removing? Wires, you literally pull carefully from the boot. @God.Is.Love while I will agree with you on the disrespect, dude was right. This video was absolutely useless. I, personally came to see the technique you used to remove the spark plugs on the left side, which you skipped completely. I get that you had the phone in your other hand, but bro, IF you are doing a tutorial video, it's on YOU to make sure that you have the setup to show the process. Hell, you could've asked a neighbor or someone to hold the phone for those parts or SOMETHING. But skipping the process ain't it in a tutorial...
Dude,... just changed all coils, cables, and plugs in my 07 Tahoe. Took me a very long time to get that boot and plug out of the rear left. I nearly gave up. After 166k miles, the boots were pretty well stuck on there. But I did manage to get it done. She's running like a champ and all errors are gone.
I did a spark plug change today on a chevy tahoe thanks for the advice to use a swivel on the ratchet cause the left side the last plug is hell without the swivel cause the plug is tucked away and at an angle with not much space and you cant see it you gotta feel for it get the socket and swivel on it first then attach the ratchet other than that one its a easy job
Such a common thing on these types of videos. I appreciate the poster trying to help, but when you don’t actually show what you did it makes it a lost cause and pointless to watch the video lol
Great video! Huge help, it was just what I needed, thank you. I have zero automotive experience and having only watched your video I was able to replace everything in 1 hour and 40 minutes. I did the driver's side first to at least get a feel for what I was doing and it went as smooth as I could have hoped for. I did go out ahead of time and got a swivel adapter for the back one on the passenger side and it only took a little longer then the others - great advice. Really appreciate your sharing, good luck with whatever you do!
This is a fantastic video! Best I've seen on RUclips in a LONG time! Explained the process, showed the location and didn't fiddle around with hours of useless video. People's previous comments are ridiculous, you don't need to watch him pull a spark plug out. He explained how he did it, he can't hold your hand and do it for you!
I can't believe you shoed that fly away! He just wanted his fifteen seconds of fame in your video. ;-) Thanks for the post. Yes, the #8 is a pain. I'm finding it easier to remove it from under the car. More room to work.
This is actually really helpful. I kept hearing that the #8 one was nearly impossible. Glad to see you got it done. I'll probably do that side first so I get to end on the easy side and avoid getting mad. Also you said this took you two hours, but how long should it take? 45 mins?
The hardest plug is the rear back plug and just to put it out there, to be correct that is #7 in regards to firing order, and the ac Delco plugs you are using are at 40 g a p and come pre gapped from factory do not mess with them
So basically you have to have a lot of patience. The spark plugs are angled toward the front of the motor and in between the bevels of the exhaust manifold. To pull the boot off itself, just take it easy, turn and pull at the same time also try jiggling it. Also whoever designed that motor to go in so far to the firewall on the passenger side, f**k you.
11ft lbs for the torque specs I believe it was and for the boots, I just sprayed a bit of wd40 and twisted a bit before pulling off the boot. That’s really all you can do unless you’re using the boot puller tool. Depending on your vehicles previous maintenance and year, is what makes pulling the boots off either simple or impossible.
just twist the boots at least half the way around then pull. just did mine and all of them came off no issue and i didnt spray any kind of wd40 or anything
OK did I miss the part where he shows you how to replace the spark plug or just tells you he probably didn’t replace any spark plugs at all lol What a jokester

Orientation is not as you look in about 99% of all motorized mechanical items....vehicles, aircraft, heavy machinery. Most orientation is as you are sitting in the driver seat looking forward. Numbering maybe different but the layout should be the same. Looking forward from the driver side is the left bank but would be right bank as your looking in from front to back. With Most automotive engine layouts the #1 cylinder is going to be in the front for rear wheel drive vehicles and the same for front wheel drives. #1 is the radiator side about 99# of the time. Could be passengers side of the engine or could be drivers side but the key part is the bank against the radiator.
Way to be an idiot and not show anyone how you take off anything. This whole video is completely useless GREAT JOB DIPSHIT

Would bad spark plugs cause check engine light ? My 2013 Tahoe check engine light came on. And now it’s struggling to start

Not showing us how to take the spark plug out is ridiculous
What about the residue that doesn’t let u put the new ones in?
Got a 2002 avalanche and I need to do this it’s long overdue. the motor has 112k miles on it though I hope it’s not too difficult
If you're going to have a how-to video Don't Make any cuts in your video and actually show somebody how to get it out

DO NOT PUT A GAP CHECKER ON THAT IRIDIUM TIP
Why???
thanks for your vid i really learn how to change the sparks plugs by not showing the point of taking it off and put them back in i give you a 0 rate
Thanks for watching. Good thing you can't give ratings on RUclips 😅
Did this help your idling? My 2013 Tahoe has a little shake sometimes when idling.
I didn’t have idling issues but it is a known sign of needing new spark plugs. Could also be related to throttle body or vacuum leak somewhere
That’s has do to with your camshafts
Did you figure out what the idle was? Mine is doing the same
@@ZoCutit No, just cleaned out the mass airflow sensor and nothing. Now I'm going to clean out the the throttle body and see what happens.
@@reeldawill5451 what’s the cure for this?
The gap should be listed on the tag on top of the radiator support
Platinum spark plugs don’t have to be gapped. They come pre- gapped

What was the gap?
You could go with either .040 or .060 for the gap. If I remember correctly these pre-gapped at .040 so I kept them that way.
Next video. didn't show the tools or much at all.
