Also you need a step ladder🪜 - i got a good one at Lowe's.. basically you'll be laying on the engine really loving your Chevy while removing the back passenger plug 😁
The back plug passenger side* : take the 5/8 bolt off thats holding the dipstick in place and you can swivel the dip stick tube outta the way.. gives you just enough room to work that b out/ put back in

My mom has never gotten a tune up for the suburban and after dealing with the same symptoms with my 2002 Saturn L100 I'm convinced that it is time for some new spark plugs! Thank you so much for the amazingly instructed video! Just subscribed!!
One thing not mentioned which will help a ton getting those metal boots off the plugs, is use a puller tool. You can find them at harbor freight. It grabs them just right and give you the grip to pry them off.
I removed them by hand, no tool. There are these special gorilla grip gloves 🧤 i bought at AutoZone. They allow you to grip and pull the wire by hand. The metal boots come off easily once wire is removed from spark plugs
1A is right. It's not really an issue on this vehicle. Simple fact is if you have that much trouble with the number eight on this particular vehicle, then you might be better off taking it into a shop.
I know it would be a little more work, but taking the front passenger wheel off to get to those plugs would be a little easier to get to since they literally right behind the plastic
Good luck getting that massive torque wrench on #8 lol. Just snug it up, medium-firm. Don’t want to over tighten those bad boys and pop the porcelain. Ask me how I know.
The reason I looked for the video was the passenger side furthest in plug. I can’t seem to get to that one as there isn’t enough room. Showing the easy one is fine, but you need to show the hardest one too. It is “not the same” quoting what this video states at the beginning.
While I appreciate the how-to video, the reason I looked this up is to see what tools and adapters I would need for the difficult, hard-to-reach plug, not the easiest. Might consider showing that instead in the future.
What should the ohmage be in replacement plug wires? I recently installed some and found them to be at about 1750 ohms. The original ones where at 375 ohms.
This video mentions 11ft lbs for torque spec on spark plugs. But other video from same company said 25 ft lbs. Same motor. Also i heard its supposed to be 17 ft lbs. Who's right??...
Found out last night it recommends 11 ft lbs torque for spark plugs. I accidentally broke two spark plugs. Maybe I did too much torque or maybe it was because the brand Bosch. But I went back to the store bought the ac Delco platinum pre gapped at .040 and double checked them carefully with the spark plug gap tool just to make sure it was right. Didn't put any anti seize either this time. Turned the spark plugs by hand then finished tightening them with the ratchet and spark plug socket. Once it was starting to tighten almost all the way. I did a little less than 1/4" turn with the ratchet. Now my vehicle is running fine and I didn't break any spark plugs. Thanks anyway for the video. All the spark plugs were easy except the back right one on the passenger side of vehicle. Wish the engineers had to work on what they made. But they never do in any type of field that I know of -_-
Apparently you should to prevent it from getting stuck next time you try to take em out. But apparently you shouldn’t because some plugs already have some coating for that and if you put anti seize on them and torque them they’ll actually be over torqued. Idk
I did exactly that and now I have. A heck engine light and the truck idles a bit more than usual. It’s a misfire but what did I do wrong. I know the plugs are correct because I wouldn’t have been able to screw them all the way in. Any thoughts will help.
I have a 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe 2.0t. with no codes I have vibration at idle, and get worse with ac on. I replace : pcv, motor/transmission mount, o2 sensors, spark plugs, ignition coil. Depends. Some vehicles have different tune up cycles, depending on year and make of vehicle. Depends on condition of wires too. If they're in good condition, then you should be fine
+Ruel Isales Thanks for checking us out! If you are only having 1 misfire, and you can narrow it doesn't to one specific coil, you can most definitely replace just that one that is misfiring.

How often should somebody change the spark plugs?
How necessary is the torque wrench? I was planning to very gently wrench them. And anti seize is great too
Never use anti seize!!! It loosens the plug up so you want to tighten it down more. Then you'll end up with a frozen plug in the block.
You should be using the right ACDelco Plugs for this engine.
@Mike king they used ngk brand. Sam is saying they should used acdelco brand
How much do you put the spark plug gap I heard two different numbers 0.60 and 0.40

Almost all plug manufacturers advise AGAINST using anti-seize when installing new plugs.
Ok so manufacturers advise against that. Why people recommend it? Is it something from the past?
Any time you have dissimilar metals you should apply anti seize. That’s pretty much common knowledge.
