That’s what I was thinking, I needed to re-watch the part where he types the plane type, I thought he had typed “Boing” to purposefully get it wrong lol
As a Hong Konger, your video recalls all of my memories of Kai Tak. Airplanes used to fly over my house. The distance between airplanes and buildings were so closed, liked can be reached by hands. Kai Tak was definitely one of the most challenging airports in the world.
In 1984, I was an aircraft electrician on the Lockheed P3 Orion sub chaser. We flew the Checkerboard Approach. Intense! Here I am at 62, watching this in flight Sim! Thank you!
@@omglol9571 long time ago, at the same airport and I believe the same airline "Asian airlines", there was a bad crash where an aircraft tail struck the water/rocks before landing and cut the tail pretty much off. I believe 2 people died but that landing he said was "wild" gave him flashbacks to the incident.
This seems like a parallel universe recreation of Kai Tak. Most of the present-day buildings are there, which should block the landing path (the entire Kowloon peninsula had a strict building height limit in Kai Tak's days), but I guess only the buildings directly in the flight path were removed for this map.
In Indonesia we also have a somewhat version of Kai Tak airport, and it's called Kemayoran Airport and sadly it was closed in 1985, now the location has turned into a fun fair in Jakarta
I'm really more of a VFR guy on MSFS, Max737 probably had to reshoot the approach and landing like 5 times. Also landing was 10/10, a landing that smooth on an approach like that? Awesome vid.
It's utterly astounding how much work you put into these videos. I'll take FS2020 any day over FS2024. Great video. Thanks for sharing. EDIT - 8:05 - LMAO!!! (clean, safe city) 11:15 - Sum Ding Wong was flying. ;)

kai tak didnt have those light extending that far. They had a checkerboard which was on the side of the hill visible at 22:33 which was used as a guide for the turn in point
@@max737ifly it would be great if the next video featured the Inibuild A350, but it might be released in the next three months. Otherwise, the A380 would be perfect for the next video a flight from New York to Dubai. with the flybywire A380
Question: This is a Boeing 777-300. Why is there a (virtual) sidestick visible in the bottom left corner of the scene at 22:30? And why is the old inner-city Kai Tak International Airport still being flown to? It was closed in 1998.
Good to see MSFS2020 videos. Everything’ works, and you don’t get a bug festival like on MSFS2024. Graphics are almost the same, and performance much better on 2020 edition.
That stick shaker in go around would have caused a good pain in the ass investigation. I know sink rate callout happens sometimes but afaik low airspeed isn't normal

@@Ethan_C_K True. I thought that until I got superfast FTTP. But even with this it's disappointing sometimes with lots of low res textures and looooooooong loading times. Before starting the game I have to go and do some housework or something to kill the time while it loads

I don’t know how you keep doing these amazing Videos! But thanks for makeing this this inspires me every day to fly each video you make so thanks for makeing these videos! 😃👍

"the beautiful, safe and clean city of San Francisco" was the best part. Also nice 3 hour hold.

11:18 bro you are wrong for that!!!!😭💀
San Francisco being called clean and safe was the only bogus part about this. Everything else was a masterpiece. Great video!

Clean and safe? I sense a bit of sarcasm in this description. Maybe it was clean and safe about 15 years ago.
Nice video!!!
Glad to see the famous Kai Tak approach has not been forgotten as a Hong Kong based aviator.
