2 years later this video saved the day for me today, when my 91 Mk2 Gold Driver Auto got stuck in park when my daughter was out in it. Many thanks!

Had the same problem. But I was lucky, went wrong before I put it in park. So drove it as, until MOT. Now I need a new gear nob

please does park or neural relay work with this automatic transmission??…I am using one but i can start in drive or neutral position.
I just checked. Mine can be started in either park or neutral. You should try cleaning the electrical contacts in the gear selector under the cover.

Pena que no Brasil não vieram os golf Mk2, apenas os mk3 na década de 90
Yeah but you guys got the Gol, which we never got, and that gets bonus points for having a flat 4 engine in the front.
@@Endfloatexatamente,mas o Gol não tinha versão automática, só a motorização que era 1.6,1.8(Gol GT e GTS) e 2.0(Gol GTI, primeiro carro com injeção eletrônica do Brasil)

Is that lightbulb easy to change?
I've never had to do it, but I can't see any reason why it would be difficult.

My mk2 automatic drives but don't go into gear
You might have a broken or disconnected shift cable.
