Hello, the problem of anamorphic elements at the back is that you keep the squeeze but not the visual impact of anamorphic, doesn't get very much in the way of the normal otical element of the lens. It is pretty much a normal lens with a squeeze
UVC is a standard, like since Android 4.2 or 4.4 came so the support is pretty wast unless you use some weird gimped down phone. Sony has more fancy features in it thou.
Using my iphone as an external monitor for my a7RV and ZV-E1 with Sonys Monitor and Control app. With that i can still use touch autofocus while watching the footage with an 1.33 squeeze.
Am not sure but Lumix S5iix has Phase Detect autophocus in Anamorphic mode? If that's true....Imagine Paniboy Lumix Stabilization in Anamorphic mode and PDAF and Sirui Autofocus Anamorphic Lense that will be Epic .....wake me up from my dreams please 😅..lol
Not sure what camera was filming you today Kai but you can definitely see alot of wobble behind you. Still a great video but just needed that Lok human handheld I.S. touch lol Also, lot of auto focus pulsing so not sure if your cameraman was filming/testing the new Fuji software update for todays video 😮

How does an anamorphic lens auto focus? I thought it was impossible due to the squeeze factor.

It is anamorphic, just 1.33 squeaze so not nearly as distorted as a 1.66/1.8/2 squeeze. Logically, more squeeze is harder for the camera to focus.
Impressive lens for the size and AUTOFOCUS. Very big deal for cutting down time when shooting.

The old bloke with two Nikon cameras was best, and look at the green aberrations in the Nikon logo, I would not have noticed otherwise.
You convinced me, I want one. Having had a good experience with the Snipers on the FX30 I believe Sirui can pull this off.
