    The 2003 series is my favorite interpretation of the Turtles, that series a amazing. Also that series had THE most badass Shredder. Dude was a fucking MONSTER, easily one of my favorite villains from ANY cartoon.

    My absolute favorite Turtles incarnation was the original Mirage TMNT comics. Specifically the Eastman/Laird issues of Volume 1. Amazing stuff. The first TMNT movie borrowed a lot of its plot from the foot-related material in issues 1-11 of the comic, plus the Raphael/Casey fight in Raph's one-shot, and the Leonardo one-shot was adapted, but it was Raphael fighting the foot alone on the rooftops.

  • @joedee9811
    @joedee9811 8 лет назад

    Grew up on the cartoon and original movies. That first movie still holds up and is one of my favorites. It doesn't dumb itself down for kids, and all the characters have distinct personalities. Joining the foot looked tempting, but Shredder looked bad ass but was genuinely menacing (at least to a little kid). They kind of undid most of that with the sequels, but they were still enjoyable. Look forward to seeing the new one.

My favorite being the original cartoon from '87, as that was what really got the ball rolling for the franchise.

    @andrewnavarro4769 8 лет назад

    You forgot that the 2003-2009 TMNT show had a movie that crossed over with 1987's turtles. They had that 1987 pink guy with the metal orb base (which got upgraded with 2009 tech) as a villain and both worlds' Shredders. This show also had two name-change shows (to help distinguish it from others) called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fastfoward" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Back to the Sewers". To sort it out, my brother's and I just call it the 'back to the sewers' universe or BTTS when texting.

    "Four turtles, four brothers. Genetically reborn in the sewers of New York City. Named after the early great Renaissance Italian masters, and were trained as ninjas by their rat sensei in the martial arts form of ninjutsu. They have battled many petty criminals, evil overlords, mutated creatures, and alien invaders, while they attempted to remain hidden underground from society."

    I grew up on the 80s TMNT movies 🔥🔥🔥
    I LOVED the new movies!!! I thought they were so great and did pretty good at catching the spirit of the turtles. Though people don't like it and basically wanted the old turtles again, it wouldn't hav worked, that genre of film has changed and though I loved those, if they redid it then I don't think it would've worked...probably woulda been a bit corny

    I got introduced to it as a kid through the toy line in the 80s because my middle name is Rafael, my mother bought me Raphael.. I was hooked ever since.. I still have that original soft head toy with his weapons in a bag somewhere too.. Loved that show even though its cheesy as an adult.. The first movie was by far superior to the others to me.. Raphael got me saying "DAMN" and it pissed off moms so bad lol..

    Nostalgia doesn't ALWAYS win. I'm 35, and grew up on the original Turtles cartoon series. Loved it, was an insane Turtles fanboy...but fanboys grow up. Honestly, after everything, I still think the first Turtles live action movie and the second cartoon series were the best of the line. I was like 23 when the second series came out, and my God...you're right to compare it to Batman: TAS. I'd call this series tied for a close second place with Gargoyles as the best animated series ever. Batman, Gargoyles and Turtles II are basically my holy trinity of cartoon series. Also, if you get the chance and in keeping with the spirit of this video...go look up the animated movie "Turtles: Forever." It's based in the Turtles II reality, and it features them jumping through dimensions to visit every iteration of the Turtles right back to the beginning. Including the Turtle Prime universe which is, you guessed it...the original comic book. It's a really fantastic and powerful retrospective...and the interactions between the original Kids Cartoon turtles and the Turtles II versions are comedy gold. If you really want to see how the Turtles have evolved, and see it all side by side, Forever is pretty much perfect.

    Hey Arris, did you know that there is another tv animation series of TMNT? I think it started in 2009, where the turtles traveled to the future in the year 2105. The name of this show is called TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES FAST FORWARD!

    as a kid l really liked TMNT: Fast Forward, which was the 6th season of the second cartoon, it was about the turtles in a futuristic sci-fi city and it was really cool (and l'd love a movie based on it)

    The Crossover with 2003 series, the 80s series and the original mirage comics turtles was the best TMNT animation to date

    The 2003 TMNT animated series was the best in my opinion and more faithful to the Mirage comics with a amazing copy and paste storyline in certain episodes. This truly was awesome because some of the stories actually came to life and the dialogue that was in the books was word for word in the series. I actually grew up in the 80s so I'm pretty much will know how nostalgic is when it comes to the 1987 series. You forgot to mention the other TMNT movie It's called "Turtles Forever" when the 2003 Turtles teamed up with the 1987.

    The Coming Out Of Their Shells cassette tape was my favorite album until I was like 12 (then I heard Bad Hair Day). I listened to it so much I'm surprised it held together.

    I wish TMNT 2012 did another Turtles Forever like special. 1987, 2003, 2012 turtles together. That would have been a freaking blast.

    Like you, I think Secret of the Ooze was the best out of the original movie trilogy. I know that the popular opinion is that the first one was the best because it was the darkest, but the 2nd one had a lot of humor that worked well. And for me, I like my ninja turtles to be funny.

    I also grew up on the 2003 series but I also remember it ending or being replaced with a version where they go to the future and have like saner weapons or something.
