Batman 1989 is a miracle film. To have a young, un incoming director in Tim Burton given the chance to have his own personal take on this world. To having Micheal Keaton cast and having fans petition his removal from the role. So many things up in the air for this film NOT working. But when you have a hungry director with a vision, an actor who is now seen as giving the definitive take on the character to Danny Elfman’s timeless score….that movie was THE crescendo of the 1980’s in stunning fashion.
The Dark Knight Trilogy is definitely my favorite live action Batman movies. They represent who Batman really is in a more realistic world. The Dark Knight is also my favorite movie of all time.
In another world Ben Affleck would have been in The Batman and he would have went against Colin Farrell's penguin and it would be the Daredevil reunion we never aaked for.
@@jordel2010 I don't think they can do that without taking the video down, editing the video, and reuploading. To my understanding, that would be a logistical issue since they already got paid (and are still getting paid) for the video.

I’m old school before old school, meaning I am more invested in Batman with the psychology built upon the foundation of his drive to make himself as-much-as-possible physically equal to the big task, in that he “Trains his body to PHYSICAL PERFECTION.” (Batman #1) Of course that’s rooted in my own experience as a gym rat, knowing firsthand how much drive that demand and the psychological underpinnings. Hence, I can’t reconcile with Keaton as Batman. With Bale, Affleck, and Pattinson - I get the full feel of the combined physical and psychological. So depending on my mood, each of them take turns as my favorite.
Val Kilmer is a seriously underrated Batman. I won't lie, Batman Forever is up there in my top 5 favorite Batman films. Number 1 will always Mask of the Phantasm.

Once again Arris, you & I both being huge Batman fans are in agreement. Michael Keaton is the best Batman. Batman 1989 is iconic & the one that started it all thanks to Tim Burton. Michelle Pfeiffer was arguably the best Catwoman. Batman & Robin was really bad b/c of Joel Schumacher wanting to bring back the campy look of the 60's Batman. George Clooney was a good Batman. Batman having his own credit card was pretty bada$$! Batman the Dark Knight is the best Batman movie. Heath Ledger is the best Joker 💯 Anne Hathaway does deserve credit for her role as Catwoman. Ben Affleck is Batman, the Dark Knight Returns & gave us the best fight scene. The best Batman second to Michael Keaton. Justice League the Snyder Cut is the best of the DCEU. The Flash was good but made better b/c of Michael Keaton Batman. Robert Pattinson delivered as The Batman. It was good. Zoe Kravitz was good as Catwoman second to Michelle Pfeiffer. Long Live the Bat ⚫⚫⚫
When are you going to do history of Marvel's Sandman and Kurt Conners the Lizard since they made a live action comeback in Spider-Man No Way Home along with the Elementals who were mentioned in Spider-Man Far From Home?
My favorite Batman as a child and growing up in the 90s was always Keaton’s Batman obviously but from BvS to this very day, BatFleck is just my favorite Batman ever! Even without his solo Batman films(which sucks so hard) his journey from BvS to ZSJL and even his lil cameos in SS and Flash are all amazing. A tired older broken Batman with 20 years of pain and rage building to the first alien in action breaking him and what his code use to be is such a great new way to show his character. Broken and unrecognizable but still visually stunning and intimidating. Him killing never bothered me because unlike OTHER Batmen in the past, this time there was a story behind it. A purpose. He was meant to be the villian and we weren’t supposed to like him. That was the point. Then his journey post Supermans death in ZSJL was just amazingly told and showcased. It was beautiful. To go from, “We’re criminals Alfred, we’ve always been” to “Faith Alfred….Faith!” 😢😢😢❤❤❤❤
It's a hot take, but I don't really care: I don't think the script or the production design were questionable in Batman Forever (except for the nipples). The cinematography goes harder than 80% of the CBMs out there today, and it's a fun movie. The biggest problem in it is Tommy Lee Jones, who's just trying to out Jim Carrey Jim Carrey.
I knew Batman(89) was going to be a monster of a movie when my GF at the time, who was not a comic person, told me she wanted to go see it, about a week before it was released. I'd like to throw out an idea. No matter who the actor is that portrays Alfred, he's awesome. I think it's because Alfred is such a great character. It can be a garbage Batman movie, but Alfred still shines

I agree with your Val Kilmer take. Dude’s portrayal of Batman and Bruce Wayne was as good as anyone we’ve seen. Underrated performance. Batman Forever wasn’t a bad film in my opinion, but the sequel didn’t do Joel Schumacher any favors.
Bruh... The Snyder Cut is a improvement over the theatrical release, but it only bumped it up from only maybe being ahead of the first Suicide Squad to also being ahead of Batman v Superman & Wonder Woman 1984. It's still not even close to being any good.
