One more thing... Tim is so kind to me. He called me many times that he told me something very positive about me. He invited me to his house in LA. We went to music store together. I am so lucky to know all these people. Tim, Tom and Michael are so genuine honest super kind super care people! Amazing!
Tom is just like that in person! He was so sweet when I met him in Nashville. He brought me to his favorite Thai Restaurant! Thanks Michael for sharing this amazing guy's life, story... so incredible!
I think the reason why we instantly loved Tom’s stuff is because he’s authentic. He has real stories and he tells us in a way that is not pretentious and he’s just real and down to earth. And none of it’s rehearsed. Stay true Tom.
He did more than cheer us up....he literally made us better musicians, countless ah ha moments, Specifically for me, not play what he plays necessarily( not copy)but how he plays , his approach, his swagger, listening to the singer developing your own relationship with bending....rubs, shoulder of the pick etc.
I saw Tom 'talking' a week ago in a vlog.. Now im a huge fan.. Wondering where the fk have ( i ) been. Definitely a household name from here on. One of the coolest cats and soulful players I've ever heard.
Michael, ... dude, you are an absolute genius, you nailed your interview tonight, and did something nobody else was able to do. Everybody loves a Cinderella story. I sent Tom an email just now explaining how our household has y’all on multiple screens and I explained to the family how session men are the guys behind the scenes seldom credited or given accolades. It’s so great to see him shine, and include Sarah in the event. In times of crisis and uncertainty our species tends to seek a savior and find something to cling to. Buk is our guy. What a feel good story for lil Tommy Bukovac’s everywhere.
@@patrickfinley6229 right on @Patrick. Tom could start a revolution, a la Crowe in Gladiator or Mel Gibson's William Wallace in Braveheart :) rock on dude.
I missed it live, but finally had a chance to watch. Michael, that was absolutely amazing...thank you so much! And I do hope you continue with the live chats. What a treat to have you, and Tom, and Tim all together and to have Sarah sing so beautifully for us. Just phenomenal!! Thanks again, brother!!
Three great personalities. I just found Tom Bukovac’s videos. His videos are amazing! Now I have to tune in to Tim Pierce and Michael Palmisano. Tom’s way of handing off “jewels” and insights is very appreciated!
You sir are a great "Connector." This was such a wonderful video. You connected us with Buk from your Ripple video and then you connect Buk, Sarah,Tim P and yourself in a Live Stream. It was guitar and music overload! Such great stories with some of the most humble and approachable musicians. Thanks for inviting all of us to your conversation over a few beers.
I love how Tom's computer mic gave his acoustic guitar a sort of "70's trucker phaser." And not to mention those two are just ADORABLE. Michael, thanks for all the great stuff!!!
Man, this is so insane that you guys are doing this for we who are part of the gazillion hack guitar players who cherish every moment you share with us. I've been playing guitar and obsessed with the instrument since I bought my first Japanese solid body in 1962! I recall it was a 'Tempo' solid body that I paid $40.00 for. Sat in my bedroom for 2 years until I was confident to go find other 'players'. Love this Tom, please keep it going if you can.
Loved the Joe Walsh story. Reminds me of a similar Glen Campbell story - We were doing an event where the band was also backing Vince Gill for his set. Glen was sitting in the front row and came up afterwards and said the same thing - "you guys sounded great! How come you don't play that good with me??" We all laughed and our keyboard player Noel Kirkland says totally deadpan, "Because you ain't no Vince Gill!" We all busted a gut and so did Glen.
Thanks Michael for bringing us to Tom. Been enjoying it greatly, not being able to hang out with folks during the pandemic, then hanging out with ultra cool dudes like Tom has been a great experience...
The best thing about all of you guys is your enthusiasm for the music, just call us quaranteenagers again, if nothing better comes from this, it's the infectious love of the guitar and those who keep our interest in picking it up again and practicing, kudos Michael, Tom&wife, and Tim, you all rock.
Watched the replay from midnight to 2am as I couldn't make it to the live stream and loved every minute of it. I saw your reaction video to Tom and Sarah's song and that's how I learned about Tom Bukovac. I have since gone and binged watch his Corona Virus and subsequently his Home Schoolin' streams and I must say he is the real deal. Love your instruction and reaction videos and it is so refreshing to get to see the Buk do his thing and dispense his wisdom and share his life experience in the biz in his no nonsense straight from the heart way. He maintains a BS-free zone. It's a beautiful thing. Thanks for doing the interview and bringing Tim Pierce on to encourage the Buk to keep on doing his thing even after the session work starts spooling up again. Well done. It was also cool to see you be so animated and excited by the interview. You da man!
I’m just now watching this and realized this was during the pandemic and you session guys were going crazy. I’m a 71 year old late bloomer who started a band after retiring. We played gigs all thru the pandemic. Not much money because no one was making any, but there were plenty of little clubs outside of Nashville that were open for business.
Michael, I caught the replay after work. That was a fun, entertaining video. I just discovered Tom after watching his rig rundown. I would love to see you have him and Rick Beato on at the same time. Thanks for awesome content.
Absolutely one of the greatest RUclips music channels. A rare inside look of a top tier session cat. By a monster guitar player and not a nicer, cooler, funny, informative man is there. Tom Bukovac is a real Bad Ass
Did not catch this live since it was 5 in the morning here in Austria.. but I am really thankful that you uploaded this Michael... It's inspiring and really helpful! Cheers and stay safe..
Dude's I'm a 70 year old guitar player. I lived a life of playing guitar . And I just discovered real Blue Grass. I stumbled onto a Billie Strings pod cast ,He is a young man that is the real deal. He is from Michigan ,like me ,but never heard of him before. Watch onr of his shows, The banjo, mandolin as well as his flat top are amazing. you would be glad you watched.Your a family man also. My wife was a nurse. We had 4 children, now 7 grand children. Most all grown. I am glad that you are still deeply into music. I started at 14 ,playing guitar, this is a blessing.
A friend called a friend - I get to Tom through watching Chris Buck's Friday Fretworks and now it's a daily event for me to see what the Doctor is prescribing. Appreciate you both for putting this on the Utube!
Awesome chat, thanks for putting this together! I came to Tom's world through That Pedal Show (RUclips channel in the UK), they mention him often enough. I'm slowly working my way through watching all of Tom's videos! I'd add Robert Plant (especially in his prime) to the list of great stadium singers. So much power and soul and control.
Bro, this session was fire...Tim and Tom are my favorites. Especially being from LA ..Tim and Mike Landau are no joke. I wish Landau would do a show like this.
I "found" Tom on the Premier guitar rundown vid. Loving his attitude and playing. I also found out about Stapleton when he was back in the Steel Drivers. Now we are getting into the meat and potatoes of who the real heavy hitters are.
Unbelievable show. Obviously, this is magic for guitar players but I think anyone interested in getting started in anything new in life needs to watch this.
What I love about Tom is he’s an open book. He’s just a regular guy who you can shoot the shit with but he’s also a legend. Big fan. Thanks for having him on Michael.
As a new subscriber, and YT algorithm beneficiary, I just stumbled on this incredible session with some of favorites. Such inspiring culture exchanged here!
This is so good. Brilliant and inspiring. I've been teaching guitar on Zoom, because of the current situation and its hard, but it can work., I think I'm going to also get back into RUclips content like Tim was talking about.
I found Tom from the Premier Guitar video with John Bollinger, and I had just found Michael’s channel when I typed in John Mayer videos, lookin for John Mayer lucks. Your video reacting to him jamming and following the “BACKBEAT “ made me instantly subscribe. People just don’t understand about the BACKBEAT anymore.
I don't usually have the patience for live streams, they tend to ramble, but this one was really enjoyable and interesting. Good job and good content. Thanks.
This video was epic.watched beginning to end. About music, philosophy, family and love. Thanks so much in order: Sarah!!! Tom and Tim. Michael, I am hooked on your channel. Much love.

Wow this is a real treasure. Micheal you are the man! Love the vibes. Let's do this again. Production is pretty good. Sub-par live video conferences can suck but this was a delight. Felt like I was enjoying their presence through your enthusiasm.
Love you both so great, it’s obvious both of you love the music ( beauty) I think both of you will inspire guitarist to become better musicians not shredders
Tom.. if you can see this… please don’t change..!!! I’m an old geezer who hasn’t gigged for years.. but you’re like talking to my old bandmates during rehearsals.. trading tricks and stories..! Love yer style man..!!👍🏼❤️

Perfectly Said !!!! Mw
All this and he also always looks very stoned. Lol. Shit's funny.
He did more than cheer us up....he literally made us better musicians, countless ah ha moments, Specifically for me, not play what he plays necessarily( not copy)but how he plays , his approach, his swagger, listening to the singer developing your own relationship with bending....rubs, shoulder of the pick etc.
What a great 2 hour hang. Tom is just so down to earth.
