(Assuming "2 of these boxes contain a mimic" means the same as "exactly 2 of these boxes contain a mimic", which it does since 12:33 happened) Tyler also won another 50/50 at 14:11, Because both of the red boxes could have been mimics following similar logic

10:37 you got lucky there mate. The middle box could have still been a mimic. The status of all other boxes were correctly deduced and you had 2 known mimics. The middle box said that there are 2 mimics in total. They appear to be telling the truth, however you forgot that that statement would only be true if the middle box wasn't a mimic. Basically, both the world where the middle box is a mimic, and the world where the middle box isn't the mimic, are viable worlds there.
i think you are correct. if middle middle, middle right and the bottom right are mimics all 3 are lying. Seams like a valid second solution. So 50/50 indeed he lucked out.
Your ability to logic out these puzzles amaze me. I would have been eaten several times over because I struggle to slow down and read things correctly.
8:50 the way you solved it is the reason you have 1 and 2 markings available, you can just mark them with 1s and 2s and then deduce which one is true and which one is lying
For anyone wondering about the new modes: Robbers: there are robbers that always tell the truth, but steal all your gold when opened. Number: the chests tell you how many mimics are around it, the mimics have a fake number. Doubt: mimics now tell the truth, but all normal chests that are the same color as the mimic lie (if a mimic is blue, all non-mimic blues will lie) Confuse: there are confused chests that will always lie but are safe to open.
@@philipgarritsen5162 yea the chests will claim things about both mimics and robbers giving you less hints on average for each so its kind of tricky. It might be the toughest dungeon overall since very often there is not enough information to do anything smart but there are ways to dissect it. Robbers actually only steal 100 gold so it is totally worth to open all the safe boxes if you know where the mimics are even if you do not know the location of robbers. you still keep all the gear and get a bonus for opening boxes. my first finished robber run i left way to many boxes unopened and it was super close. Numbers is basically like a minesweeper with 3x3 field and while most boxes say a number of mimics around them the middle one always ( and sometimes 1 more ) says a normal statement like usual. In confuse there is always exactly 1 extra liar compared to what you would see on standard. So for puzzles with 1 mimic 1 confuse will be added which always lies but is like you say safe to open, making 2 lairs in total. For puzzles with 2 mimics there will be 3 liars total. Cheers!
14:11 careful tyler! There could have been 2 mimics hiding in the red boxes, and that would lead to 3 total mimics. The black box would be a mimic because it says there is only 1 mimic in the red boxes while there would be 2 instead.
1 mimic: "It's the 3rd, if I'm the 1st" "Phrase below me was said by a Mimic" "I am not a Mimic" "Phrase Above me is said by a mimic" "There are only 1 false statement" "The mimic is vouching for itself" "It's seriously obvious"
8:28 has a peculiarity with the wording. A chest that says "The box on the left isn't a Mimic." is actually referring not to the box to the furthest left, but the box left from me. I assumed it was referring to the left-most box (thus in the middle row), because otherwise it would've used the same wording as all the other boxes that say "from me".
The 50/50 at 3:13 isn't a 50/50. Mimics HAVE to lie.(Otherwise this game would be much less fun anyways.) The Upper Chest said, There is a Mimic among the bottom row, which is true. The Bottom Chest said, there is no mimic among the bottom row, which is false. Therefore, the bottom chest is a mimic, the top chest was safe.
Okay but suppose that the upper chest says There is a Mimic among the bottom row, which is false. And the bottom chest says there is no mimic among the bottom row, which is true. There is nothing that distinguishes your scenario from mine Tyler has no way of knowing which scenario he is in.
10:58 is a risk because nothing else confirmed the middle chest was good. the only proof was that there were 2 mimics but if it was also a mimic it would have been lying.
At 10:55 there could be a configuration of the mimics that would screw you up: center, right, bottom right. Here's how I solved it: Let's suppose boxes on the top are 2 mimics supporting each other. This would make bottom right a mimic as well, so we would have 3 mimics already and the center would be lying, making it 4 mimics, which is impossible. It means the initial assumption of 2 mimics on the top is wrong, and the top 2 are not mimics. This makes right box a mimic, so left box isn't a mimic and bottom right is a mimic, so bottom left isn't a mimic. Now we have 2 mimics: right and bottom right. If center is a mimic, there would be 3 mimics and the center would be lying, proving it's a mimic. However, if center is NOT a mimic, the statement would be correct, proving it's NOT a mimic. Therefore, there's not enough information to identify the center box, and you just got lucky it wasn't a mimic.
Hey Tyler, just wanted to let you know that if you talk to Nehsa in the overworld, she can give you some useful tips about deducting mimics. There's a few tips that will definitely help you deduce quicker and more efficiently, so I highly recommend you check out what she says.
at 18:03 you didnt have to equip a new weapon, your fist damage wouldve been enough, could save durability from equipping only weapons with lower strength where its needed
If I ever find myself in a situation where I need to solve a puzzle or die and I get to choose someone to help, I’m picking Tyler. Either he will solve it and I live, or I die entertained.
I think the weapons work literally the way they say. they add the TOTAL value of your attack+4(Kukri), so if you have 10 attack, equip the Kukri, you add 14 attack to your stats. 10+4
10:56 if I understand the wording correctly, the middle could've logically been either a mimic or not, all the external boxes are solved with two mimics, none of the boxes directly mention the center box, so you have to use whether it's lying or not, but there's no way of knowing if it was lying without using an ability or risking a guess, this is because there are 2 mimics with the box in the center unknown. If the center box is a mimic then everything is fine, there can be 3 mimics, and it would mean there aren't exactly 2 mimics since the box stating that is a mimic, which if fine because there are now 3 mimics. If the center box isn't a mimic then everything is also fine, there are 2 mimics which is allowed, and there are exactly 2 mimics left, so there's no way to deduce if the center box is a mimic or not. If "2 of these boxes contains a mimic" actually means "At least 2..." this would solve the current puzzle, but the next puzzle would've been unsolvable which proves that not all puzzles can be entirely deduced.
One thing that Tyler seems to be missing (at least early in the video) is if a mimic in the bottom row say "the bottom row has at least 1 mimic" then it must be telling the truth. Same with top row saying top row, left say left and right saying right. And the same rules apply if a colored box says there is a mimic among boxes of it's color.
By the way i notice you ignore some of the people in the town, the farmer gives you tips, but the others can let you gamble your money, or improve durability, or other things
Isn't the middle one at 10:57 ambiguous? If it is not a mimic, there are the two other. If it is lying, it itself is the third mimic. And we have seen before that "There is a mimic among the red boxes" actually means that there is atleast one but could be more.

This seems like a really fun series. Would love to see more. Keep up the great work Tyler!
Please do more of this! It’s awesome!
0:23 "The top row has at least one mimic" from a chest in top row - it is automatically true. Any chest that claims that a group it belongs to has mimics is saying truth, because if it is a mimic, it makes its statement true, resulting in contradiction, as mimics always lie.
Pro tip, if youre fighting multiple enemies, and one is at extremely low health, youre better off attacking the other enemy on the off chance that Nasha decides to use magic, which hits all enemies in the room.
it's great to see Aliensrock having lot's of fun with this game you can really tell.
A trick for harder levels, Tyler - if you have more damage than you need to kill an enemy, and more than one weapon, it can help save durability on your best gear to switch to your weaker weapons
EDIT: 12:46 - Tyler straight up forgets he has a spare weapon... my man......
You've reached the end of the dungeon. In the center of the room lies a large golden treasure chest! Your reach down to pry it open, then pause when the chest suddenly speaks: "This box is a mimic."
Since all of them can talk, they are all mimics, but only some are hungry.
10:57 you got lucky here. The middle box could have been a mimic as well, making for a total of 3 mimics.
Tyler, right after getting an new weapon
"Smh i need a weapon fr fr"
Tyler won a 50/50 at 10:58 , as there is no way to tell if the middle box is a mimic, since there are 1-3 mimics and 4 confirmed non-mimics and 2 confirmed mimics, the middle box could either be telling the truth and not a mimic, or lying and be a mimic with no repercussions elsewhere. (Assuming "2 of these boxes contain a mimic" means the same as "exactly 2 of these boxes contain a mimic", which it does since 12:33 happened)
Tyler also won another 50/50 at 14:11, Because both of the red boxes could have been mimics following similar logic
11:13 medicinal effects dissipate between floors.
10:50 That was actually pure luck. The box in the middle was unsolvable since its either saying the truth and there is two mimics or its lying and it is the third mimic. It basically said "Im not a mimic"
Your commitment to skipping lore and dialogue is rivalled only by my dad, who, when confronted with a cutscene, will simply get up and walk away 😆
Got lucky at 14:12, both red boxes could have been mimics
True :). They definitely could have been. He got lucky :D. There is a very subtle and important difference between exactly 1 ( there is 1 mimic ) and 1 or more ( a mimic / 1 or more ).
I also wish he did not edit out all the struggle that is the most fun part to see how people think and stumble :D and retrace steps back and forth until everything falls into place but I am sure there are also people who appreciate that videos are not to long.
I immediately went to buy the game after watching your first video on it and I've been having a blast going through all types of the dungeons. I think you'll enjoy them as well.
Also, you can click and hold to make any action faster, as in chest opening, combat, and consuming candies.
I love this game! Thank you for entertaining us Tyler!
B16 10:02
You got real lucky there, because it was also possible for the centre box to be a mimic and have everything still make sense. I'd have used a crystal ball on it.
14:21 What he said: "Did I see a flare gun?"
What I heard: Did I see a Flareon?
10:37 you got lucky there mate.
The middle box could have still been a mimic.
The status of all other boxes were correctly deduced and you had 2 known mimics.
The middle box said that there are 2 mimics in total.
They appear to be telling the truth, however you forgot that that statement would only be true if the middle box wasn't a mimic.
Basically, both the world where the middle box is a mimic, and the world where the middle box isn't the mimic, are viable worlds there.
wouldn't the middle mimic at 10:55 be a 50/50? bec if it was a mimic then there would be 3 mimics and its statement would be false
i think you are correct. if middle middle, middle right and the bottom right are mimics all 3 are lying. Seams like a valid second solution. So 50/50 indeed he lucked out.
"There's a mimic among my group" is an excellent way to clear yourself
Your ability to logic out these puzzles amaze me. I would have been eaten several times over because I struggle to slow down and read things correctly.
8:50 the way you solved it is the reason you have 1 and 2 markings available, you can just mark them with 1s and 2s and then deduce which one is true and which one is lying
For anyone wondering about the new modes:
Robbers: there are robbers that always tell the truth, but steal all your gold when opened.
Number: the chests tell you how many mimics are around it, the mimics have a fake number.
Doubt: mimics now tell the truth, but all normal chests that are the same color as the mimic lie (if a mimic is blue, all non-mimic blues will lie)
Confuse: there are confused chests that will always lie but are safe to open.
I’m assuming that at these dungeons the chests are gonna say things like: “the chest on the right is a robber”.
@@philipgarritsen5162 It does, some that I've found say something like "there is a/no robber among (color) boxes" in the robbers dungeon
Cheers!
The box on the right is a mimic
The box on the left isn't a mimic

Psychological damage
14:11 careful tyler! There could have been 2 mimics hiding in the red boxes, and that would lead to 3 total mimics. The black box would be a mimic because it says there is only 1 mimic in the red boxes while there would be 2 instead.
I love this game but also the editing is amazing
1 mimic:
"It's the 3rd, if I'm the 1st"
"Phrase below me was said by a Mimic"
"I am not a Mimic"
"Phrase Above me is said by a mimic"
"There are only 1 false statement"
"The mimic is vouching for itself"
"It's seriously obvious"
1:44 i did NOT expect to see dont starve in an aliensrock video
why would you not expect to see a very popular game as a reference to something he said?
people always gotta feel special lol
Your logic is flawless and makes me feel smart just listening to it
10:49 The box in the center could have been a mimic because if it were, it would have been the third mimic, itself.
10:44 was a risk. The middle box and the box to the right could have both been mimics.
True.
What helps me during the "Is a mimic"/"Isn't a mimic" hints is to think of it like this:
Is Mimic: 1 mimics (XOR)
Isn't Mimic: 0 or 2 mimics (XNOR)
The 50/50 at 3:13 isn't a 50/50. Mimics HAVE to lie.(Otherwise this game would be much less fun anyways.)
The Upper Chest said, There is a Mimic among the bottom row, which is true.
There is nothing that distinguishes your scenario from mine
Tyler has no way of knowing which scenario he is in.
There are different levels on the same difficulty, the last one you get to play 100 floors
10:58 is a risk because nothing else confirmed the middle chest was good. the only proof was that there were 2 mimics but if it was also a mimic it would have been lying.
Just want to point out the black box states only 1 mimic exists, the blue chest should have been fine.
“Green is a mimic”
“I am a ✨HORSE✨”
Great thumbnail.
10:50 the box in the middle could also be a mimic. That is a brain fart risky play.
At 10:55 there could be a configuration of the mimics that would screw you up: center, right, bottom right. Here's how I solved it:
Let's suppose boxes on the top are 2 mimics supporting each other.
21:22 "Yay, harder puzzles"
0:00 Bye guys, Tyler there
If I ever find myself in a situation where I need to solve a puzzle or die and I get to choose someone to help, I’m picking Tyler. Either he will solve it and I live, or I die entertained.
This game is boolean algebra simulator. I love it.
At 19:10 the bottem left could be a mimic because if he was a mimic there would be 2 mimics in bottem row so he would be lying
9:34. doesn't 'box on the right' mean the rightmost box, not the box beside the box making the statement
imagine you walk into a room with one chest that says "I am a mimic."
The Weird Medicine only worked in the one room. So he took it, spiked attack up to 32 then went down stairs and lost it. 🤣🤣🤣
Everyone gangster until a box says "I am a mimic"
you are ungodly good at this game
It's a surprisingly fun game! I can't wait to see more curios mimic's accusations.
By the way i notice you ignore some of the people in the town, the farmer gives you tips, but the others can let you gamble your money, or improve durability, or other things
"I am a mimic."
Really love this series!
Also, you shouldn't waste the durability of a good weapon if you can already kill the enemy with a weaker one.
There is always a mimic among the boxes. There is always an imposter in the room. There's an imposter Among Us.
its pretty simple, if green says he is a horse, but isnt, then he is lying, maybe green is a dog.
"two mimics, which would equal three mimics" -aliensrock 2029
Isn't the middle one at 10:57 ambiguous? If it is not a mimic, there are the two other. If it is lying, it itself is the third mimic. And we have seen before that "There is a mimic among the red boxes" actually means that there is atleast one but could be more.
"There is a mimic in red box" from a red box is automatically true.
As someone who has not been able to talk the past 2 weeks due to being ill I completely understand Nairo
Just wait until a chest says "I am a mimic"
For the puzzle on the card, green is obviously the mimic
I really like the editing
I cleared my throat just as you said "opening a mimic will male you dead" at the start and i heard "opening a mimc will make you gay", and i wss happy thinking we'd gone back to 2003
