1 1/2 things I would like to add.
    1. If you don't have an owner's manual, for whatever reason, GET ONE!
    2. Order a set of factory shop manuals for your car. Not that you will try your hand at repairs; it helps you to explain your issues to your tech, they now have needed repair info/procedures for your specific car.
These two publications will answer A LOT of questions for the car owner.

Hello Lyle, I’m James, El Paso Tx. I bought 2014 corvette new. Car has 9k miles on it. Car is garaged. Rarely out in sun except when driving. Infotainment screen works, then starts flickering, then goes black, then starts working again. Corvette forum shows other c7 owners having same problem.
Would be nice if you would do a video on this, and what to do about it. I’m 68, and will probably keep this car rest of my life. Car is in mint condition other than this. Looks to me cost to fix this problem is around $1500, and then new screen may go out again in 3 years. Then another $1500 to fix, then same problem may occur 3 years later, etc, etc. James

Just ask people if its on the drivers side or passenger side. People should be able to comprehend that. If not they shouldn’t be behind the wheel period. Also Lyle a tire can have lots of meet or tread but could have lots of cracks in the tires or sidewall bulges or issues that sends a warning sign to replace them A.S.A.P.

Another thing to add: batteries. Running car batteries down to low levels damages them. If you car battery has been dead enough that it can't turn over the engine more than once, replace it, regardless of the age of the battery, especially if you live in a northern climate.

Love your videos! How about a video on driving a corvette on two lane highways through hilly country? My driving style changes drastically from when I’m driving my GMC 4x4 pickup where I have great vision down the road when passing a vehicle to being extremely cautious when passing a vehicle in my C-6. In the C-6 my normal eye sight level is approximately 39” above ground level while in my pickup my eye level is approximately 59”. In the corvette I’m always looking for debris in the roadway to avoid because of ground clearance and oncoming traffic hiding in plain sight because of a “slight” hill. LOL

Not a common issue in my experience. I would be curious what caused the wiring to fail...rodent intrusion? hard short? Steering columns don't fail with any regularity, so that is another anomoly. I wish I had more info on these issues, but they are uncommon. Lyle

While I agree with you, it's better to educate people who enjoy the hobby, rather than turn them away. I've never turned a wrench (on a car) in my life, but it's good to know that I am referencing the right things when dealing with my car, and I assume those minor details would be extremely helpful to someone just getting into the Vette hobby.

I used to do tech support on the phone regarding PA systems. I can tell you I spent a lot of time educating people on the language just so we could communicate about the problem and possible solutions. Doesn't matter if you're talking about cars or guitars or camping equipment, if you're not using/understanding similar vocabulary, it's much more difficult to work through the issue. "The doo-hickey that goes in the thingamajig," only gets you so far.
