I also loved seeing the mohawk, one of my personal favorite fan series. But what do you mean by the steam retirement? was that another fan video or are you talking about the actual retirement of UP's steam fleet?
Wow, this was just WOW, the reference to the artificial personalities from San Juan branch line and the Mohawk that would quit incorporated This was just a masterpiece
This..this..this is a masterpiece. I am simply without words. The inclusion of ronthecyborg's "The Mohawk That Wouldn't Quit" and even 836 is enough to make me cry. It's just so..beautiful. Bravo!
RUclips recommended me this, this is brilliant. Reminds me of The Mohawk that wouldn't quit, which I watched a lot when I was young. Very enjoyable this
kinda corny, but cool and I really felt this as it did bring a tear to my eye. Whenever I hear a steam loco's whistle nowadays it is like they are crying out in reminiscence of days gone when they ruled the rails. You did a great job conveying the feeling of getting replaced by something newer here. Good work!
Great movie! I love the inclusion of NYC-3124, and looking forward to what's coming with SP-4449 in AFT livery. Absolutely a Pixar quality story that left a lump in my throat. BRAVO!!
The cinematography was outstanding! The voice actors did a great job, and the whole this was amazing! Although at 4:30 there were some pops in the audio. Also 3:15 and 8:14, ITS THE MOWHAWK! I love you for putting this in! I grew up on that series!
I worked on this film as a VA and this was incredible! The mohawk being like that in the film blew my mind away I did not expect that much from a side character like that but it was awesome!
This was a really well-made movie. I love how your camera angles capture the massive yet majestic scale of the UP locomotives in each frame. I also admire how you give each of the engines personality without being too cartoony as you prioritize storytelling and pacing over quirky characters. I would love to see more serious movies like this.
Its an absolute blessing whenever this channel uploads. Regardless of what the video is about, the cinematography and editing is Hollywood Tier. A fine piece of film you've made Zach. (P.s. Its an honor to see my old revamp of the Mohawk in here, Really motivates me to finish the rebuild on the new one)
Well done on this film. I love what you did with John Powell’s music. I have to say, it was a very welcome surprise hearing Test Drive at 4014’s public unveiling and Where’s Hiccup at the opening credits. Side note, do I sense a film about the GS class next?
Very well made and well produced. Bravo!!! Even though it’s not quite my cup of tea in the way you approached the story, I love that you did it in such a meaningful way and took it seriously.
Wow. This right here was an incredible watch. For such a masterpiece to come from such a small channel says volumes about the dedication that was put into this. You've got some incredible talent as a storyteller and director. I'm glad this came across my For You page. Keep up he good work, and who knows how far you'll go.
Fan-fucking-tastic job! I loved every second of it, also loved the music very somber and cinematic. Also also I have a feeling 4449 in there American freedom train livery is a teaser for the next video. :3 I’m keeping an eye one the horizon for any new uploads man.
This is so good! I can’t wait for the 4449 one! I only wish you made a reference to/implement the wreck of 4005, but other then that small nitpick, it’s a amazing mini movie that deserves an award!
My go- That was amazing. Truly a masterpiece, 4014 is my favorite steam locomotive. I notice the yard manager's voice sounded like kid's voice. Why does his voice sound like that.
I love the music at the end where 4014 runs again. Phenomenal work. I also really like the inclusion of NYC 3124 (The Mohawk That Wouldn't Quit). Speaking of which, in Jackboy317's remake of that series, one of the locomotives that appears in that series (specifically Part 2) is Northern Pacific 328. I would love to see you guys do a Trainz movie about that locomotive, as 328 is my most favorite steam locomotive, ever.
I was recommended this video from friends with ties to this project. I was enthused to watch this after watching the trailer. Upon watching it, I have a mixed reaction. It's a fun story and an interesting take to the events of dieselization. My biggest critique is on the overall sound design. In my career, sound and how sound interacts plays a huge part for how Humans understand something. In this fan-movie, the sound design for the characters is suspect. Their voices are in your face and coming right in front of you. Not coming from the direction they speak in. If a character on the right-side of the screen is speaking, we expect the sound to come from the right-side. OR if a character is near the background, we expect their voice NOT to be prominent. These details become important as these characters don't have any emotions in their face. We rely on their voice and where the sound is coming from to tell who is who and follow the conversation. The videography is very well done, and more than perfect for a movie. Simply put, the sound design took away from the full experience.
Absolutely a Chef’s Kiss moment! It’s rare to find this kind of quality for trains films. I especially liked the music when we first see the Mohawk. It’s very fitting. What song is it?
omfg why do you feel the need to go into the comments on every train related video you see and mope abt how you’ll “never make something this good” as if it’s our problem?
@aguythatlikestrains4501 all because you're life is better then mine doesn't mean you always have to be a dick You don't know how much pain I'm in you don't need to be such a dick
@@kadenrobinson7067 it’s trainz content bro, just because you don’t have the materials to make it doesn’t mean you have it harder than everyone else. Grow the hell up.
I remember when people used to laugh about the idea of a big boy returning the steam, but the Union Pacific made it happen and made many dreams come true about it

Thank you MLS for this very well layed out movie it was most accurate in more events which happened in it.!!!!!!!! would it be possible for a sequal to this?
The way he incorporated the Mohawk that wouldn’t quit and up”s steam retirement is just spectacular

Love that 836 and Mohawk are there.
Fortunately, 4004 is preserved. And this will be the best video ever!
You *COOKED* with this one
Wow, this was just WOW, the reference to the artificial personalities from San Juan branch line and the Mohawk that would quit incorporated

Beautiful Zach. I loved the film, and can't recommend it enough. The cinematography, voice acting, it's all beautiful. Fabulous work my guy.
Man, this was a great movie! I feel like your should try to make a Part 2 or Movie 2!
This video brings back so many great memories of Trainz & MSTS videos from my childhood. Amazing work!

I also watched TMTWQ when i was younger. Ron gave us something really beautiful when he created that series.
that was really cool to see and full speed ahead Big Boy 4014. Big Boy 4014 forever ❤️❤️❤️
Big boy 4014 was the last operated steam locomotive to this day.
I saw it at Union station Utah in July.
Nice little reference to The Mohawk That Wouldn't Quit.
This is a EPIC MASTERPIECE, The way you incorperated things like TMTWQ into this was AMAZING!

10/10 masterpiece
This is such a good way to tell a story and to explain history to people.
The usage of Test Ride was absolutely flawless, the camera work was stellar, 10/10 would restore an engine and run it on the mainline
I’ll admit 24 minutes wasn’t what I expected but DAMN DID THIS MAN COOK!
You did amazing on this one man! This is one of the best Trainz mini movies I’ve watched now. Hope this gets noticed more as it should be! 🤘🏽
This is incredible!
Bravo, bravo, with this film it gets 10/10
As the saying goes "Keep em' Rolling" Then, now, and forever. That's Union Pacific spirit. 👍👏👏👏👏👌😃😌
Holy shit this video was well done the music for unveiling 4014 at the end was the only right song to bring a Giant such as 4014 back from the past
Holy cow this was amazing right here!

the inclusion of 3124 was a really nice touch. Really sold just how bleak things were
Dude nice Work! Also i saw the TMTWQ reference lol.
Probably one of the greatest pieces of Trainz-based fiction I have ever seen! 10/10
If there was a Trainz content awards, I think I know what would have a chance at a “Best Video Production - Fiction” category.
words cant describe how amazing this is
Fantastic!
Kino stuff, well done. Looking forward to 4449's story!
